Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best hotel ever I have been traveling for the last 25 years and this is one of the best hotels that I have been to right along with the Bora Bora Intercontinental Thalasso. The staffs are very friendly and knows how to treat the guest right. All speaks and understand English very well. We had switched room to do a upgrade with the victoria bay view and lost a important ring. The staffs were able to find that and bring it back without issues. The facility is very centrally location on the Star Walk. definitely get the rooms on the side with the view of the Hong Kong island. You will not regret it. This is the case that if you don't know, you won't care, but once you saw the view you will be glad you upgraded to the victory bay side. Did I mention the view is Amazing? Hong Kong can get real muggy with tropical weather. We were able to view the 8PM highrise light show from the comfort of our air-conditioned rooms. It was just simple great. Over all the experience is great, I am glad we didn't choose other hotel and love the experience. 04 June 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic Harbour Views, Easily Accessed Upon arrival via Taxi, our bags were immediately whisked away while we headed towards the Front Desk. Very kind of the Guest Relations Manager to specially come down to process our check-in. After some quick paperwork, we were escorted by herself to our room. Once inside, the harbour views caught our attention immediately. After allowing us to a quick inspection of the room which we were very happy with, the Guest Relations Manager spotted a flickering light in the Bathroom which we didn't notice. Very quickly, she apologised and had the matter resolved. The supply of drinking water was also generous when requested. Appreciate the cake that was delivered to us unexpectedly although they could have given us a heads-up before knocking on our door. The triangular jacuzzi tub was marvellous while the steam-bath facility within the separate shower was fantastic. The MTR station exit J2 is right outside the hotel while the Star ferry pier is a short walk away. Overall, our stay was pretty flawless except that I felt the hotel pool was a little smaller than expected and the kill-joy of construction currently going on. In addition, expect to pay top dollars for any services (ie. Spa, Room Service, etc.) from this property. 03 June 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A very ok 5-star property with one annoying thing that left a sour taste The IC HK's most redeeming quality is the location. It is a short walk from the MTR and Star Ferry and has absolutely stunning views of HK island. The hotel is starting to feel a little aged but nonetheless the room was clean and well kept. The thing that really left me with a sour taste was the food offerings and the prices they were trying to demand (not including the celebrity chef restaurants [Nobu, Alex Ducasse, etc.]. I mean I understand I am at a five star hotel but these prices were just stupid and not in line with anything in reason. What am I talking about -- a $180HKD hot dog by the pool. A $290HKD burger in the lobby. Pair that with a soda and you are looking at a $50+ USD lunch for a very basic burger. The breakfast buffet, which was robust, with Chinese, Japanese and Western options, but in no means the best I have ever had, was $45 US all in. Want something a little more gourmet... I think you get the point. Having been in Zurich earlier this year, it makes that look cheap -- that is hard to do. The kicker is a mixed drink was actually more in line with what I expect to pay at a 5* (120-150HKD). In a town where you can get Michelin star dining for under 30USD per head, including drinks, the very average food and outrageous prices just invite you to get out and explore the city. a challenge I gladly accepted. 01 June 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by 美好的生日体验,以糟糕收场 客观来说,酒店位置无可厚非,但出入较为不便,均需打车解决。 酒店酒廊员工非常优秀,无论是从态度和专业素质均优秀。 豪华套房虽然装修较旧,但保养尚可,除了淋浴器的接口松动外,基本完美。 但需给后续入住的幼童父母提醒,首先酒店最西侧房间不宜周末和节假日入住。因文化中心有政府审核的演出,故在傍晚开始会有比较大声的演出,一般在10点半左右结束。 酒店东侧房间不适合需要日间休息的人士,因非国定节假日那边有工地需施工。 主要在入住期间7点幼儿睡觉,基本有些问题,另外期间房间火警大作,并在孩子睡觉期间多次大声在房间内播放广播,包括最后用三种语言解除警报,提早电话酒店沟通是否可以关闭或者调节音量,结果等到是经理站在门口和我解释这是最后一次广播。 工作人员对于高级会员需求不了解,在出现多次问题后仍一直强调可搬至其他房间,可香港洲际房型繁多,专门对付皇家大使升级,以至于只有豪华套房才有独立客厅和卧室。 但后续得知楼层有低级别房间可有独立客厅,但面积较小。 对于生日入住贵酒店,入住后未得到任何的生日照顾(提前酒店按优惠价格将我升级至豪华套),原定于6月1日早上9点离店,在我最终提早退房并面对面无表情的大堂经理毫无愧意时实在失望至极,此时提出将准备香槟和蛋糕派专人送至我临时预订的酒店。 另外酒店升级计算方式按酒店有一统一定价而非按BAR价格来执行。如不希望高级会员升级高级套房,可直接拒绝升级即可。 作为洲际集团最为高级会员,入住超过20家IC,从未提早退房离开酒店,并作为选择度生日酒店而言,只能说我的选择是错误的。 但仍感谢酒廊员工在用早餐时适时推荐行程,以及用餐等提醒。帮助照顾孩子等服务均超于完美。 最后只想告诉酒店,为了生日不愿意和酒店有任何的不愉快,也从未提出任何出现问题后的补救要求,除了让我选择其他低级别房型作为选择。我只想度过一个愉快生日而已。 01 June 2014

The staff make you feel like home. The only problem the restaurantd are really bad cusine and they are so expensive with those prices you can be in best quality places with more view to the light show. 26 May 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great location and pool area with superb harbor view... and a little unpleasant check-out experience We booked the InterContinental Hong Kong on very short notice less than one day before we did arrive in Hong Kong. We were given a room with a terrace on the pool level floor: The room was comfortable, nicely furnished and the air conditioning worked pretty well. Also the in-room WiFi worked smoothly throughout our stay and was sufficiently fast for internet telephony as well as video streaming. We especially liked the pool area with it's glass walled swimming pool. It was a pleasure to enjoy the Hong Kong skyline while relaxing in one of the three temperature zones of the pool ("cold", "warm" and "hot"). In short: Everything was perfectly fine just as we knew from all our previous InterContinental experiences... ... except for one thing: As InterContinental Ambassador we were granted a 4 pm late check-out which we intended to fully use. On our last day, we stayed at the pool with only our swimwear and bathrobes until about 3.15 pm when we headed back to our room to get dressed. But our room key cards had already been deactivated so we could not enter our room. There was one hotel employee passing by without responding to our request of helping us. Another employee who passed by a little later then did help us by calling the front desk using her mobile phone. The front desk first proposed we should come down and identify ourself which was not an option for obvious "dressing reasons". When finally someone was send to our room with replacement cards, he apologized for the time of waiting for the replacement key card; but not for our "overall experience". The hurry that resulted from the waiting lead to forgetting our camera in the room at checkout. Luckily we had a coffee in the lobby bar before our departure where we realized our loss and therefore could retrieve it before leaving the hotel: Thank you to the staff at this point. 26 May 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 WONDERFUL STAY We had a great stay at this hotel: room was amazing and view across the harbour was marvellous. Everything was perfect, scenic lobby lounge with fabulous live music, breakfast in club lounge was superb, experience on restaurants is overall great (we tried The steak house annd Chinese one), SPA and swimming pool are an experience to must have. Staff were very welcoming and helpful (expecially Michelle) and engaged with their tasks helping hotel guests. We wished to stay longer... we will back! 22 May 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fabulous Harbor Views Lovely Hotel first visited in 1981 and it has continues to upgrade the rooms and common areas to keep up with the new Kids on the block. Superb restaurants especially The Steak House ,Nobu and Lobby Lounge all which we used Spoons and Yan Toh Heen were not tried but fellow guests spoke highly of them The swimming pool and Spa are very nice even with the rain interfering with my swim. The Staff were exceptional at all levels from the greeter at the airport to the managers whom we dealt with and all inbetween, The Consierge Desk were very helpful 20 May 2014

I don't like it, when you hit the room after a long day, all you want to do is take off your shoes, grab a beer and jump on the bed. We had to wait for the completion of the check in. Then, tea arrived, then a free gift, then the turn down service. Too much service...... After that it was great. Room was fantastic, very comfortable bed. Great amenities, great bathroom. View, well what can you say, that's why you pay to be here. Breakfast downstairs was also more of the over the top service. Every time you finish a drink or your cereal someone would swoop and take it away. It's very noisey and very crowded. We paid the extra to have it in our room the next morning. Had to make 2 calls to the Concierge to have our luggage collected on the day we left. Great hotel we will be back. Highly recommend. 12 May 2014

The staff was very courteous, the club lounge was great, room service brilliant. I have stayed in a lot of intercontinental properties and this property really lives up to the intercontinental standard in all aspects. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Overall Experience Upon arrival, Front Office colleaue will escote us to Club floor with politely manner, he has never pointed out the lift to ask us to take by ourselves. Also agent who did check in us kindly upgraded the room. We could really have comfortable stay. Regarding the guest room, generally it was good maintenance and clean properly. At club house, my wife has ordered Capchino in Evening & Breakfast, however both time she was served coffee instead. Otherwise good service and attention, also food quality was excelent. As over all experiences for us was excelent and thank you so much. 09 May 2014

During booking, I called the hotel, and the Plat. hotline and to be assured that I will get the harbour view for the evening. But that was not the case. We got a city view instead. Disappointed for sure. Other wise, everything was great. We were offered a "menu" of pillows, and I picked the buckwheat pillow, and was perfect! Also, we got a room upgrade, so I guess aside from not getting the harbour view, everything was good. 05 May 2014
