Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exceptional Experience It's been quite awhile since I last wrote a review about my experience staying at the Intercontinental Hotel KL so I thought I would take the time to write one now. There has been quite a few staff changes over the 1.5 years I've been patronising the hotel, However, one thing has remained consistent and that is the quality of the staff. The front desk staff has always been professional, warm, and friendly and I've always felt appreciated when I checked into the hotel. A special mention must be made to the staff at the club lounge. Julia and her team have done a tremendous job of creating a hospitality experience like no other that I have experienced in other Intercontinental Hotels around the globe. The Malaysian hospitality truly comes out of each and every staff member and I always feel my stress levels go down (after a hectic day's work) when I enter the club lounge. Julia and her team are true gems at the hotel that deserves the highest recognition and they have made me a loyal customer of the Intercontinental Hotel in KL. Looking forward to coming back to the hotel again soon. 16 December 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by One of the Best Business Hotels In Asia There are just a few things I look for in a good business hotel: - Great,comfortable beds - This property excels. - Good. free, wireless internet - pass - speed could be faster - but quite OK - Extensive Breakfast Included - This hotel has a great breakfast buffet and Jason - the Breakfast Matre'D - is extremely attentive and professional. - Iron and ironing board - pass. - Good desk in room at which to work - pass. - Good bar to relax in after work - The pub and lobby bar are excellent. - Easy access to public transport and taxies - excellent. 16 December 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Standard Accomodation but Staff make it Shine Firstly, my wife and I have stayed in hotels worldwide and a number in KL. I have now stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions and it has become my preferred hotel in KL, replacing the Shang-ri-La. Why? The rooms are of average size for KL, but they are well appointed with the usual amenities, the bathroom is spacious with a separate shower and large vanity unit. on all stays the bathrooms and rooms were exceptionally clean and well maintained. The beds were very comfortable and the supplied pillows just right for a good nights sleep, the air-conditioning had a wide range of setting that actually allow you to set the temperature from cold to warm. A nice touch was after a strenuous day out we came back to the room to find a number of origami animals made out of our towels. This made us smile... a nice touch. The breakfast at the hotel is standard fare for a hotel in this class offering a wide range of food from traditional chinese/malay/nonya through to Japanese and western fair. Room service meals were also of high quality and served warm. The location of the hotel is excellent, a shuttle service runs hourly to all major shopping precincts and business areas. Across the road is the Ampang PArk shopping centre;its small but there are a couple of vendors who serve great malay food at inexpensive prices. So what makes this hotel special? Simply the staff. From the tall porter at the door(sorry I cannot remember your name) to Anne, the Duty Manger and Jason, the Client Services Manager the staff are the most friendly and helpful I have come across at an Intercontinental. Whats different is that they have an unaffected manner and make you feel at home, its not the proforma smile and greeting that is evident at most hotels. Would I recommend this hotel? Absolutely, you may find an hotel with a better lobby, or more restaurants, but if you simply want an hotel that lets you relax and enjoy your stay in KL I recommend this one. 15 December 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by service I ordered room service at night, the food was delivered 1 hour later. I felt really bad at that time. But when I ate breakfast at the restaurant, the manager came my seat and apologized to me. The hotel didn't not only recovery the service, but also make me be impressed. This is the service of intercontinental. I will stay again when I visit KL. 14 December 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service The room was great but since we had booked 2 rooms we should have been given connecting room and king / queen beds in both rooms which was not given for 1 room. The housekeeping staff did not understand english and did an OK job with the room. Our morning breakfast was super as Jason greeted us daily and took extra special care of us. His team was also great and they asked us daily if we required anything special for our baby. The in room dining should have more dishes to cater for Indian tastes as on the menu there were only 2 dishes. 14 December 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Hotel good Location My First Club room was on floor 25 which was noisy early morning due to being below the Club lounge F26 but the staff very quickly changed my room when this was pointed out The new room had one bad night due being a Linked room one night having a Family with a very noisy baby who cried most of the night The staff again offered to change rooms but it was only a one night stay for them The Staff in the Club Lounge were brilliant friendly and helpful only Slightly spoilt by an overzealous female European manager the general atmosphere then changed and was much improved on the days she was absent 13 December 2014
