This is how I exactly felt every time I walked into the Intercontinental Kuala Lumpur lobby: ���WELCOME” The Intercontinental chain is known for its hospitality and the standards they maintain on how their staff treat the guests, but this was beyond my expectations. I had never been so well-treated at any 5-star hotel. Not even at the other Intercontinental hotels where I stayed. I was always greeted with a “Welcome Home” when entering the hotel and that was not all. The reception desk, the concierge, the bell hops, the restaurant staff… were all just perfect. Everywhere you turn someone is waiting to surprise you with a smile. The rooms and other hotel areas are very clean and well-maintained except for very minute instances which are inevitable at any high-end 5-star hotel and absolutely overlookable. The bed was fantastic and since we were on the 22nd floor the room was very quiet; however, I don’t think the rooms on lower floors would be any different regarding that criteria. The rooms are decorated in a decent manner and the 40 inch LED has nice channels on (News, Sports, entertainment, as well as local channels). The free Wi-Fi was faster than I expected and was available all over the hotel. Bathroom amenities were also of good quality. The pool was very good, but the Jacuzzi was under repair during our whole stay which was really a shame as I was looking forward to relaxing in it after the long walks around KL. The 24-hour gym equipment was pretty basic for an Intercontinental, but I managed to have my workouts there when I had time and it was not too bad. Like all other hotel staff, the guy supervising the gym was very nice and helpful. The only minor downside I could think of is the buffet breakfast. Although the food quality was very good, the buffet wasn’t as expanded as I thought it would be and most dishes were the same all the way through my one week stay. Nonetheless, considering the great deal I got on the room it was good enough for the price paid. All in all, I’m very pleased with my stay and it was worth every penny spent. I recommend this hotel to anyone who wants just more than a bed and bathroom from a hotel, anyone who expects smiling faces and top notch 5-star quality treatment. 23 April 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Club Lounge Excellent new Club lounge and I would rate as probably one of the best in KL. Excellent Club staff and Club manager. A noticeable improvement in the quality of the food on offer throughout the hotel over the past 12 months. The new Executive chef and team has clearly made a big difference. 22 April 2015

The hotel rooms are beautiful are complimented by the excellent staff through out the hotel. Highly recommend this hotel if you are traveling to Kuala Lumpur. 17 April 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Stunning Club Lounge I've spent more than 100 nights in KL and have sampled 6 different business & shopping districts. This InterContinental is exceptionally well-managed. The Club Lounge is beautiful. The mix of marble and rough-hewn wood tables is spectacular. The jellyfish display as you enter; the views; the high ceilings...all are great! I've already booked my next KL visit at this hotel. This is the only hotel in Asia that has slippers that fit me (U.S. size 12 feet) and robes that fit someone who is 6'4" tall. 16 April 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 滞在は問題ありませんでした チェックイン時��禁煙から喫煙に変更依頼したが、スムーズに変更して頂けた。ただ、フロントが2名しかおらず、後ろに数組が待つ状態になり、少し悪い気がした。その後、部屋にワインオープナーがなく、依頼し持ってきて貰ったが、部屋に置いててはダメで、持って帰らないといけないと言われ、外で待っていた。何となく悪い気がして、チップをはずんでしまった!? 最後に、今回の宿泊がIHGリワーズで対象にならないという事で、宿泊実績もポイントも反映されていない。前回のインターコンチ宿泊でも同様の問題があり、コンピュータシステムの問題ではないかと思う。是非、早急に対処して戴きたい。 15 April 2015
