Reception took too long! Receptionist seem inexperienced and unable to resolve problem on his own (need to get others to assist).
We had supper at the main restaurant at lobby at around 830pm. There were very few ppl around. We ordered prking duck wrap and somtam salad. Got our order only after 50minutes!! Service was so slow and unacceptable!
Considering the high costs of food and room, the hotel is not worth it.

I would like to compliment Jason from Serena Brasserie, he made a difference to my stay. I always have breakfast at the hotel, and travelt o KL evry 2 weeks.. Though there is a decent spread, the quality is sometimes inconsistent and the Eggs section is always crowded but the service of the cooks and the omelettes made are usually very blend tasting. The local spread is much better than the western selection.
When occupancy is high, it is difficult to get the attention of the serivce team.
However, Jason makes it a point to check up on his guests, especially the regular guests, to ensure that they get what they need. He is also always open to get feedback on the service and quality of the food. HIs high level of service made my experience in the morning much better. When I lined up for an omelette and was ignored by the cook, he jumped in and helped me to sort it out.

Check-in service was remarkably slow despite the lack of any other guest at the Front Desk.
The order taker at Room Service messed up my order. To make matters worse, the room service food quality was extraordinarily poor and at the price I was charged, I felt cheated.
To be fair, when I raised my complaint during check-out, the Front Desk staff made amends by waiving the charge on the item which was sent to me by mistake.
If you can be patient during the check-in process and if you can, avoid ordering room service, then your overall stay should be alright!

The Club Lounge manager Julia and all her staff provided excellent service and the food was first class.
The food and service at the Serena Brasserie was also excellent and a big thank you to Jason and Mohammad.
If not for the fact we could hear the elevator motor running every time an elevator ran you would have had a perfect score. Initially we were given a room 3026 on the 30th floor which was fantastic except for the noise of the elevator motor we could hear all the time, particularly at night.
Simon in the club lounge was a great help through our entire stay and was able to move us to room 2926 on the floor below which was much better but we could still hear the noise faintly.
I think you urgently need to find a way of insulating the elevator noise from the rooms. Both rooms we had were about as far away from the elevators as you could get.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back next year.

The hotel staff are very good and friendly. The hotel is not of the same quality of other intercontinental hotels i stayed in. A few recommendations I would like to share with you since I truly am a loyal IHG member are:
1. Breakfast food needs to include some arabic options
2. TV channels are very limited with no pay per view or children channels or Arabic News channel.
3. Room lighting options should be increased. Not enough lights in the room.
4. Bathroom is pretty old and needs a lot of improvement.

Everything was really nice.. except that the rooms are very old now.
A bit grimy.. We stayed in Room 1619, the bathroom tiles were broken near the bathtub.
Paint chipping off on the doors. Not what is expected from InterContinental..
