Insider Tips

The dress code in Nigeria is reasonably relaxed. However, modest clothing that covers your body is recommended, especially in rural areas.
InterContinental Lagos is located on Victoria Island, in the centre of Lagos, home to major consulates and multinational companies, making it the perfect residence for affluent business and diplomatic travellers. Built on an elevated terrain overlooking Lagos’ port, the hotel offers uninterrupted spectacular views of the Lagos Skyline, ample meeting space and grandiose accommodations. Our restaurants offer an array of delicious dining options from cosmopolitan to Nigerian delicacies.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Did not meet my expectation Inattentive staff, nothing done timeously, poor quality food, poor maintenance, 22 November 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel Hardworking Staff (BUT Watch Out for the Food Prices) one of the 1-2 best in Lagos Spacious and well designed rooms wonderful views from all rooms Attentive staff Great bellman staff (especially Stevenson and Ikenna) Impressive entrance Great common areas Nice energy in the lobby good service at the bar - VERY VERY overpriced food (lobby, restaurant, room service) -- AVOID it at all costs -- high prices for small portions - the walk up from the parking level takes you through unsightly areas, not at all in keeping with the quality of the rest of the building (no excuse for this....just requires paint and cleaning; needs attention from the owner / MD) 21 November 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Close, but no cigar InterCon - Lagos is a new property and offers some of the best service in the area when compared with typical Nigerian service. That said, they are lacking when in comes to InterContinental standards. With more training, experience and the freedom to take the initiative when it comes to customer service, the Lagos property will soon become a premier destination hotel. Faults: I was not immediately recognized as a Platinum Ambassador member. Once I did receive this recognition, I was still not afforded the typical amenities of this status, ie newspaper, fresh fruit, room upgrade, etc. I did, however, receive a welcome letter in my name. 20 November 2014
