In general this was a great hotel; great ye olde world charm and character but when it came to technology and wireless access it was absolutely woeful. As an IHG member we receive basic wifi which is generally fine but this was not the case at the Venetian. That was the only major fail of our stay except for the smoking that was allowed everywhere within the hotel except a small area of the food court; it was allowed in pool area near children, in the foyers and my kids had to walk around with hands over their mouths having to walk through the casino to get to the towers. But still a great way to spend a few days. 14 October 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best conference stay ever I've been to many business conferences in the past, but I have to say that the accommodations at the Venetian were incredible. The WiFi service for the conference, and the hospitality services for breakfast and lunch daily were high quality, far better than run-of-the-mill hotel service. For anyone planning a conference, I can definitely recommend this hotel. 09 October 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by The Venetian was, as expected but..... Due to a long delay at the departure airport, the entire duration of the flight was long(7 hours) but eventually we arrived an hour later than expected (approx 930). The lobby was clear and void of any lines(extremely happy about that), and since no attendant was at the Ambassador check-in counter, I just checked-in through the normal process. I presented my Ambassador card and was informed that the room I reserved was not available(king suite) and they provided a double queen suite. I was a little disappointed but the attendant stated that a king suite MAY be available during checkout time, the next morning. I was too tired at that point, but the check-in was smooth and quick. I'm not sure I received the upgrade room benefit but definitely sure that I did not receive the fresh fruit, in-room gift, newspaper delivered daily(none at all), not sure about the complimentary pay-TV film(didnt try it) and the in-room water could have been in the frig that we would not touch due to the charge that may incur. One day, after returning from a six hour tour, we discovered that our room was not cleaned so calling housekeeping was easy and they responded within 10 minutes. Other than that, the Venetian was as I expected after reading the many comments about it. One other thing, although there was a wireless printer in the room, the wireless connection was disabled and I inquire about it via the Ambassador counter but was just told to use the business center for printing, unless I had a laptop( I had a android tablet). Room was very nice, just older furniture. The view from the room of the Strip was good. All in all, it was a great experience. I may try the Palazzo next time. 09 October 2014
