Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great experience and a Vegas must! The wife and I just finished our latest stay in Las Vegas. We decided to stay at the Venetian since it "recently" became part of the IHG family and we hadn't stayed there before. It was our best visit to Vegas to date. Pros: -Room was clean and well maintained -Excellent amenities and feeling of luxury -Friendly staff (mostly) -Tons to do Cons: -Almost none! -Concierge was a little short with us. My wife and I are in our late 20's/ early 30's and I think he may have judged us a little and in turn didn't give us much consideration on planning our time/experiences while in Vegas. This was the only "bad" experience we had the whole time at the hotel. As someone that has already stayed 11 times at IHG properties this year (22 days in the year so far) I am excited to have another great destination "in the family". 22 January 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful Overall Experience Spent only one night at the resort during a holiday weekend. Even with the front desk being very crowded, the staff moved people along and checked them in quickly and efficiently. The room was very comfortable and clean, it was very quiet during the evening. Furniture was all very nice, and the bedding and pillows were very comfortable. A top of the line hotel. 21 January 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Living the high life Definitely not a place for those on a budget, from the moment you get out of the taxi this hotel exudes an aura of luxury. This is reinforced when you step in the door -- the artwork of painted murals on the ceilings is amazing and reminds you that this is not a Mom and Pop motel. It is surprising how many restaurants they can fit under one roof (all of the food I had was excellent). The first floor is dedicated to the casino and restaurants but the second floor has the Grand Canal where you can shop until you drop or take a ride in a gondola boat. I was impressed with how customer focused all of the staff were. You could tell that this was part of their training. I was even stopped on the way to check out and asked to do a video interview to be used for training purposes. 21 January 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This is a quality property The rooms and public areas of the Venetian are elegant and make a good impression on both guests and visitors. The check-in experience was excellent, the clerk was friendly, patient, and professional. We stayed during the week between Christmas and New Years and Las Vegas in general was the most crowded I have ever seen it. The Venetian was able to handle it. The corridors were wide and there were large public areas. There were three banks of elevators, serving different groups of floors, and there were many elevators serving the parking garage. We never had to wait long for an elevator. There was plenty of covered parking. The room was spacious, nicely furnished and well lighted. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and there were two sets of lights for the bed. All lamps had rocker switches which were easy to find and operate. The alarm clock was a large, quality unit that was easy to set. The curtains were electrically operated and there was a nice view from the window. There was wired internet available which worked flawlessly with no access codes needed. The shower and vanity area was large but there was no lock on the door. There were dual sinks and dual towel rings, which was nice. The room had a "pre-stocked" fridge and snack bar with obscenely overpriced products, which I find a bit crass. That space would better be used for a mini-fridge available for guest use. The housekeeping staff was friendly and did an excellent job. The check-out experience was painless and again the clerk was friendly and professional. I highly recommend this property. 15 January 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Value for Vegas The Venetian is a fantastic value for Las Vegas. The rooms are incredible; larger than my first apartment and far more luxurious. The number of restaurants and quality of restaurants is fantastic. My only hesitation in giving the hotel 5 stars is related to the sports book. It is not comfortable for watching football and college basketball. The Lagasse book in Palazzo had a minimum spend per person per game which was off-putting and the seats we were offered would only allow us to watch the NFL play-off game being played; not the basketball games. In other words, Lagasse caters to hipsters and the "be seen" crowd and not to dedicated sports gamblers. Otherwise, though, the hotel was top notch! 14 January 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by nice quite suite weekend stay for our 42nd anniversary nice hotel/casino a great suite on the 33 floor, nice Comfortable bed and a good nights sleep. went out for breakfast and the room was service whilst we were out. staff very friendly and very helpful. will return on our next visit. 14 January 2015
