Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very pleasant stay - Thankyou From the time we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by the door staff who were very courteous. We pre-arranged valet parking and had our luggage and our car conviniently looked after. The hotel looked and felt very grand, so we immediately felt special. We were quickly checked in by the very pleasant receptionist and sauntered up to our room taking in the splendour of this magnificent hotel. The room was very plush with oak, marble and chrome fittings and new soft bath towels. The bed was comfy and devine so we immediately felt at home as we settled in. Our stay was made special by the attentive and polite staff. Every single member of staff, from the chamber maids, the concierges and especially the doormen; made us feel like VIP's. The breakfast we had the next morning was superb with an un-rivalled assortment of cooked and continental choices despite being a little expensive. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very noisy and no help A quick one night stay on a Sunday. The room was either above or very close to a function room and that night a disco / party was in full flow so we were forced to listen to it. A call down to reception was of no use. 29 October 2012

We were not sure whether we should book at this Intercontinental again as our last experience was just average, due mainly to the unfriendliness of staff at the time. However, in three years the hotel seems to have undergone a complete 180 in that regard. The knowledge, service and, most importantly to us, the friendliness of staff during our stay this time was excellent. When booking, I had requested 'extra pillows' and that's certainly what we got! Six huge ones! The decor was sumptuous, the bed comfortable and the room QUIET, which is always very important when arriving after a long flight. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will book again next time we are in London. 13 October 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Intercontinental London - Hamilton Place I am an avid Intercontinental Hotel user and am very loyal. With my new job I expect very quickly to attain the Platinum Ambassador level. For this reason, I feel I should tell you that I had a very bad experience recently at your London hotel. The hotel staff were very short to the point of being rude and I was assigned a second floor, smoking room which they claim was all that was available. Suffice to say I was very unhappy with this situation and while they redeemed themselves somewhat by relocating me to another room on the 5th floor ( non-smoking but actually smaller than the former ), the damage had been done. I will be in China in 2 weeks and will definitely be staying at the Intercontinental - please therefore take this feedback in the spiirt in which it was meant. Thanks Peter 09 October 2012

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Ambassador weekend The Ambassador weekend are overprized. We were placed in a standard room without an upgrade as it should be for gold ambassadors (if available, of corse...). First night full party at 05.30 am, second night wedding until 01.00 am, and a new party at 06.10 am. Not my lucky weekend. But housekeeping was superb first night, but didn't get any visit secong night. Take a look at InterContinental in Paris and Berlin, they know how to treat Gold Ambassadors. 27 August 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Memorable night Our stay was a memorable experience from start to finish and recognised as priority club member. The room was clean and had everything you could need and more. It felt extravagant from the moment we arrived to the moment our car was returned to us. The staff were attentive but not overly so. We arrived early and our room was not ready, this was fine though as we had planned for this. We went into town to get some lunch and within an hour we had a call advising us our room was ready. When we got back our luggage was in the room waiting. Our stay was for a works event so we ate in the ball room. The quality of the food was excellent and way above most banquet menus I have tasted. The service was again attentive but not intrusive and nothing was too much trouble. My only negative would be breakfast was not very hot. The selection is great and the cook to order food fabulous but the food in the chaffing dishes was only warm. All in all a memorable stay and I would recommend this hotel 19 August 2012

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Second home in London Highly recommend. I often travel to London on business, and after trying various hotels, this is my preferred choice for the last two years. My company's management also always stays there, regardless of their meetings geography. Great location - direct metro line to Heathrow, next to a large park, and somewhere in the middle between Selfridges and Harrods (both are a short walk away). So after a busy day you can either walk in the park, or shop quite easily. Hotel itself is new, clean, beautiful and nice-smelling. Also one of the best hotel breakfasts in London, truly. By now it has become almost my second home while in London. I personally appreciate that in a closet there is an iron and an ironing board, and that a bathrobe is large and comfortable, and slippers are comfy too, and that there is a small tea coffee station in the room. The only minus - internet and wi fi are not free. 17 August 2012

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very central location, excellent staff, great suite The room: Around 45sqm Living room with sofa, flat screen television with large selection of channels, Bose mini chain with iPhone deck, Nespresso machine, kettle, desk with UK and Europe sockets Separate toilets with large bottle of (great) Wild Lavender Elemis soap and hand/body lotion. Bedroom with flatscreen television, Bose mini chain. Very comfortable bed Bathroom with large Elemis amenities, bathtub, separate walk-in shower, towels warmer, Frette bathrobe The suite has no wall panels: it looks less contemporary, but lighter and bigger than the other ones. Room was immaculate Very quiet Partial view over Hyde Park Wifi It is a pity that the hotel has no terrace/garden 08 August 2012
