Insider Tips

The 'Center' of the City

Many visitors to Los Angeles think that downtown is the 'center' of the city. As Los Angeles is made up of many different areas that grew westward toward the ocean, the center of all that's known about LA would be near the intersection of Santa Monica and La Cienega Boulevards.
InterContinental Los Angeles is an iconic Hollywood landmark just minutes from Century City's major entertainment studios, Beverly Hills' world-class shopping on famed Rodeo Drive and, of course, the Pacific Ocean's year-round, sun-soaked beaches. Whether it is business or pleasure that brings you to town, our Avenue of the Stars address is centrally located to all major tourist attractions.

Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 370 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent concierge, room service and concierge staff I stayed here for 4 nights. We had one of the "updated" rooms, have to say, it was not that special- the bathroom is still not very updated, old tub, old shower, weird little wooden shelves, cracked caulking, however, it was very clean. Anytime we needed anything it was brought up to the room immediately. Same with room service, very fast and professional. The truly outstanding aspect of the stay was the concierge. He was amazing- arranging for the house car to take us to local destinations, making dinner reservations and suggesting great places. He was so helpful and gracious. The pool was ok, but could use more attention to cleaning, cigarette buts and cigars were abundant in the morning, but the room service staff provided excellent service. Overall, the location was great for us, the room was large- executive suite- and the staff was lovely. One word of warning! Stay away from the hotel restaurant- the worst meal and service ever. However, when we told the hotel manager, we received a timely call back and an apology, so they were responsive. If you want something to eat, have breakfast in the bar. The bartender was great each morning and as mentioned room service was also wonderful. 29 January 2015

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by I guess customers are chosen for better rooms I generally think intercontinental is a good hotel. However, at Los Angeles Century City, I was given un-renovated room when there were renovated rooms available. This hotel is currently under construction and I happened to know that I was given un-renovated room because my colleague was given renovated room. so thanks for not choosing me for the new rooms! 27 January 2015
