LOCAL CULTURE

The 'Center' of the City

Many visitors to Los Angeles think that downtown is the 'center' of the city. As Los Angeles is made up of many different areas that grew westward toward the ocean, the center of all that's known about LA would be near the intersection of Santa Monica and La Cienega Boulevards.
AN ICONIC HIDEAWAY IN THE HEART OF LOS ANGELES
From the grand entrance to deluxe suites, stay in true Hollywood style steps from Beverly Hills. Los Angeles hotels don’t come better placed on the glamorous Westside, within walking distance of 20th Century Fox Studios and upscale shopping at Westfield Century City. Discover an L.A. city sanctuary at Park Grill, or relax and revive with three Zen-inspired spa villas. A short drive will take you to the heart of the city centre, UCLA, Getty Center, Rodeo Drive or the beach.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Fun weekend in LA I had a fun and memorable weekend here in Los Angeles, CA. 23 September 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great room, fantastic wait staff at dinner The room exceeded my expectations for size and amenities. LOVE the full-sized bath prodcuts. Having two patios was excellent as well. I would recommend that the outdoor areas be at least given a once-over by housekeeping. I found a newspaper that was 6 weeks old in the plantings and the furniture cushios were very worn. Inside the rooom was well appointed. I would suggest, if possible, to move the safe out of the bedroom or at least put it in a closet -- the red lights are a little disturbing at night. The minfridge also made a lot of noise going on and off throughout the night. The wait staff at dinner was knowledgeable and engaging. They even secured a copy of a recipe from the kitchen for me. 23 September 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Century City I stayed at the Intercontinental in Century City as part of an overall holiday package. I was very impressed with the quality of the service, and the hotel itself. I was in LA for only a short period of time and therfore did not get to explore all of the facilities within the hotel. However, the room was very comfortable, and I felt refreshed after a comfortable sleep. The breakfast was very good, and as we went exploring Los Angeles, I cannot comment about the lunch or Evening meals. Service in the bar area was very good, and the Concierge service was very helpful, with good knowledge of the services within the Los Angeles area. 23 September 2014
