Insider Tips

The 'Center' of the City

Many visitors to Los Angeles think that downtown is the 'center' of the city. As Los Angeles is made up of many different areas that grew westward toward the ocean, the center of all that's known about LA would be near the intersection of Santa Monica and La Cienega Boulevards.
InterContinental Los Angeles is an iconic Hollywood landmark just minutes from Century City's major entertainment studios, Beverly Hills world-class shopping on famed Rodeo Drive and, of course, the Pacific Ocean's year-round, sun-soaked beaches. Whether it is business or pleasure that brings you to town, our Avenue of the Stars address is centrally located to all major tourist attractions.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Average I think the best part of this hotel is the concierge staff. They were very kind and helpful and we were able to get reservations where ever we requested. I also loved the car service the hotel provides. It was very convenient to be driven somewhere nearby and not have to worry about parking. I did not feel the same about the front desk staff. When I made my reservation weeks before I had requested a room on the Fox Studio side of the property. It was not made available and no effort seemed to me made to fulfill my request. My children were traveling with me and I had stayed at this hotel many times in the past. I was looking forward to sharing the Hollywood experience with them by being able to look out the window every morning and see the FOX STUDIO lot. They were extremely disappointed to say the least. The hotel lobby was incredibly hot and the air conditioning must have been off. So, sitting in the lobby was highly uncomfortable especially because it was 100 degrees outside everyday. It felt like a sauna. The hotel is starting to look its age. Our rooms were okay. But the walls, doors and carpeting look old and worn. The beds are awful! I did not have a restful sleep the entire time I was there. They were lumpy and uneven so when I laid down my head was lower then my feet. Particularly bad was house keeping. I would come back to our room and find it barely clean. Overall, the experience was okay but I don't think I would return. September 1, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by outdated Room furniture The Hotel was quiet and we slept well in the good bed. The size of the room was ok, but the bathroom is too small. The furniture is totally outdated and the bedstand and cupboard was dirty. the rooms should get an refurbishment soon. the parking fee is too high ! September 1, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Stay Had a problem with the rooms on arrival but the local team sorted this out for us on day 2. Good location, new rooms are very nice and comfortable and good team of people. August 29, 2015
