LOCAL CULTURE

The 'Center' of the City

Many visitors to Los Angeles think that downtown is the 'center' of the city. As Los Angeles is made up of many different areas that grew westward toward the ocean, the center of all that's known about LA would be near the intersection of Santa Monica and La Cienega Boulevards.
AN ICONIC HIDEAWAY IN THE HEART OF LOS ANGELES
InterContinental Los Angeles is an iconic Hollywood landmark just minutes from Century City's major entertainment studios, Beverly Hills' world-class shopping on famed Rodeo Drive and, of course, the Pacific Ocean's year-round, sun-soaked beaches. Whether it is business or pleasure that brings you to town, our Avenue of the Stars address is centrally located to all major tourist attractions.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by I guess customers are chosen for better rooms I generally think intercontinental is a good hotel. However, at Los Angeles Century City, I was given un-renovated room when there were renovated rooms available. This hotel is currently under construction and I happened to know that I was given un-renovated room because my colleague was given renovated room. so thanks for not choosing me for the new rooms! 27 January 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by short stay made comfortable short time at hotel, made pleasant by staff. Best if breakfast included and hotel refreshed a bit. 27 January 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable but lacking service My biggest complaint was that we were checking in at 3:20 and our room wasn't ready. We waited in the lobby till 3:40 because housekeeping was confirming our room was ready. They confirmed that check in was supposed to be at 3:00. That night at bed time, we pulled out the couch and the bed wasn't made up. Housekeeping had to come and do it at 9:30 pm. When I complained to the front desk the next morning, there was a trite apology but no effort to rectify the situation. While the hotel was comfortable and clean, the service was lacking this time. We frequently have to stay overnight in hotels in LA but we'll try a different one next time. 25 January 2015
