MORNINGLa Mimosa Cafe; is a great place to have breakfast. Over an excellent omelette and coffee, you can relax, breathe in the fresh morning air and watch Lusaka city come to life. Afterwards, why not take a drive along Kafue Road and visit Sandy's Creations: a place my guests tell me they fall in love with at first sight. The beautiful garden setting is just lovely and the coffee shop serves mouth-watering pastries. Sandy's Creations is the place to melt away the hustle and bustle of town. |
AFTERNOONTake a trip to our National Museum, a perfect place to learn about Zambia. There are great art exhibitions downstairs, while upstairs there are displays that offer a fascinating insight into traditional and Political Zambian historic life. Then you can continue your Zambian education with a tour of Lusaka city that includes a visit to the first home of our first Republican President, Dr Kenneth Kaunda, which still has its original decor. You can also visit the exquisite botanical gardens called Munda Wanga and see the beautiful flora and fauna, and the proud, untamed animals. |
EVENINGAfter a busy day, there is nothing better than an hour-long traditional Zambian massage called ukucina. For this massage, hot water and a cloth are used on your body for the first 30 minutes and then essential oils are used for the next 30. It is fantastically invigorating and will leave you feeling as if you've been born anew. Cap it off by leisurely heading to one of Lusaka's finest jazz bar and resturant the Misty Jazz and enjoy your meal while listening to the cool soothing sounds of the live jazz band |
