Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic staff ! Staff was very freindly and helpful Check in,check out,very fast. Breakfast was acceptable. Rooms was clean. Bed was too soft and pillows were awful. Our room was dark,due to a tall building next door, And not enough lighting in the room. I requested for a taxi to travel to Makkah ,which the hotel staff arranged,but I was told it will cost 600 riyal,which I was happy, But they only paid the driver 350 riyal, they took 200 riyal deposit from me in advance,which they never paid the driver,also took 50 riyal commission from driver, so they made 250 riyal just for a phone call. Usually drivers charge around 600 riyal medinah to Makkah , But because this driver was on his return to Makkah , the hotel staff cashed in, which was unfair for the taxi driver and myself. 16 May 2013

I just ask why the meeting system in the middle east is not opened ? i want to book my meetings and gain point from it? try please to open this system in the hotel? 29 April 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great food and renewed rooms i had very bad experience in that hotel from 3 years.But Mr.Yasser the head of sales in this hotel called me and told me that the hotel is totally changed. i went there and took room and lunch offer .Really the room totally changed and renewed.the food was so great and i really i want to thank the chef. This hotel is totally changed and it became great but need more space in the parking and the restaurant space need to be enlarged. 21 April 2013

Noise level: zero. 5 min walk to Masjid. Buffet Breakfast: More than enough to fill hungry eyes. Wifi connection was a bit slow but perfect for checking emails and quick browsing. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent stay; Remarkable value for money! It is only 5 minute walk from Masjid Nabawi. I have stayed here multiple times in the last three years. The hotel has undergone complete renovation on many floors (if not all). The price for the room is better than other similar brand hotels in the area. I think its hard to get a better value for money anywhere else in the city. I especially like the fact that they have two QUEEN beds in standard rooms; as compared to twin beds in all other similar level hotels in the area. This easily accommodates family of two adults and two children. Check out time is 2 pm, also more generous than most of the places I have stayed. There is onsite parking for free (in the Hotel's basement). Only once in over ten visits, i couldn't park immediately as it was full. They have one, two and three bedroom suites. I would recommend, especially if you have children and a large family, to go for the suite. Breakfast buffet is very economical if purchased at time of reservation, and variety of food is decent. Also children eat for free. I did not use the business center, so can't comment on that. I would highly recommend calling Mr Ali in their reservations department. He is excellent and because of his service and professionalism and help, I have recommended dozens of my friends and colleagues to the hotel. Would definitely stay there anytime. 29 March 2013

My room key was not working for some reason and the reception gave me a new one without asking for my name or for an ID... i just told him : "my room 510 is not opening with my card", he just gave me a new room card! 24 February 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by POOR PERFORMANCE Actually, it was a bad experience, as the hotel overall looks like 4 star hotel not 5 star hotel, no newspaper, old furniture, my room Number 428 with very very old Bathroom there were not enough towels and cosmetics and everything I need I have to ask , once I entered the room I could't believe that this hotel under Intercontinental Hotel chain , staff performance is very poor , even in the receptionist staff when I asked for arrangement for Limousin from the hotel to airport one day before the travel he treated my request with non professional way as he provided me one small car (I think his car ) Minin Suzuki for me and my family (5 PAX) asked me for 100 SAR , and I was very surprised and rejected and arranged taxi by myself , moreover I have to wait more than 30 min for checkout since no body available to collect my luggage . Any how they need for too much work to reach for the 5 star hotel stander, comparing with QATAR, UAE, EGYPT and Turkey 22 February 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Housekeeping There are many positives in the hotel, namely food services and reservation staff. I had many problems with maintenance and housekeeping. There is no communication between the two departments. There was a leakage in the bathroom of 201, instead of reporting it, housekeeping put towels to cover the leakage. Also, some other maintenance issues were not reported by housekeeping to maintenance. As a result, I had t change room to 613. The tub bath of 613 has been blocked, I had to call maintenance to fix that. These issues may not take time o fix, but going through the experience is not pleasant for hotel residents. 25 January 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by POOR SERVICE 1-THE PERSON WHO MADE OUR CHECKIN WAS RUDE AND DIDNT WELCOME US NICELY. 2-SERVICE WAS VERY BAD AND VERY SLOW ANYTHING WE REQUEST FOR EXAMPLY EXTRA PILLOW THEY WERE TAKING MORE THAN 30 MINUTES AND AFTER MANY CALLS FROM US TO REMIND THEM AND AT THE END THEY BRING THE WRONG THING NOT WHAT WE ASKED FOR. (POOR UNDERSTANDING) 3- TO CLEAN THE ROOM THEY WERE TAKING SO LONG WHEN WE COME BACK AFTER 2 OR 3 HR ROOM WAS STILL NOT CLEAN AND WE HAD TO CALL MANY TIMES. 4- WE REQUESTED BABY COAT IN OUR RESERVATION WHICH WAS A WEEK BEFORE WE ARRIVE BUT WHEN WE ARRIVED THERE WERE NO BABY COAT AND I KEPT MY 2 YEARS BABY IN THE FLOOR. 5- I DIDNT LIKE THERE SERVICE AT ALL AND I WILL NOT COME TO THIS HOTEL AGAIN AND WILL NOT RECOMEND TO ANYONE THOUGH IAM A PRIORITY CLUB MEMEBER AND I USED TO GO TO INTERCONTINENTAL HOTEL IN MANY CONTRIES BUT LIKE DAR AL HIJRA MADDINAH I DIDNT SEE SUCH A POOR SERVICE. 10 January 2013

To be honest I prefer Intercontinental hotels even this one in comparison with others but this is the worst one in Intercontinental hotels I have ever visited. No fruit basket at arrival even after reminders no response. No consideration for priority club members. brekfast menue need to be improved and require changes on daily basis. dairy products such as yougurt near to expiry dates . 31 October 2012
