Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good location and excellent services I would any time recommend this hotel to all the people I know when they come to Madrid, they should stay in this hotel. The staff are courteous and helpful. The location of the hotel is great, situated within walking distance to the restaurants and the main shopping street Serrano and its near by area if you are a big spender. The Club lounge is cozy and generous serving with variety of food and beverage. Staff are also very attentive here. I can guarantee that it is worth to book a Club room and enjoy the extras. 21 March 2014

Fully meets the definition of an Intercontinental Hotel with excellent staff, superior facilities and in a great location. As an Ambassador I was upgraded to a club room which gave me access to the lounge with it's delicious snacks and excellent drinks. It is only a block from the modern metro system so one can forgo autos and cabs. 20 March 2014

The bathroom was stylish and a reasonable size for two people. The bed was comfortable, with big screen TV with English-language stations. The room could have been bigger. The aircon was efficient. Porters and front desk efficient and helpful. Good team, rather dated decor and property. Would come back because of good team, not for the hotel. Its definitely not 5 star any longer 14 March 2014

El ambiente y la hospitalidad del personal de servicio hacen que me sienta como en casa; naturalmente conozco a la mayoría de ellos y ellos me reconocen a mi y debo decir que hacen lo posible por hacerme la estancia agradable en múltiples aspectos. Además, la existencia de la zona VIP la valoro mucho, porque me permite recibir visitas de negocio en un entorno de distinción. 08 March 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Superb stay - didn't want to leave. We booked at the Intercontinental Hotel Madrid for my birthday weekend. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, from the moment we arrived to the sad moment we had to leave, the hotel staff were simply wonderful. Nothing is to much trouble any request dealt with efficiently and always with a smile. The bar manager heard it was my birthday and we were treated to a beautiful cake a glass of cava and a hearty rendition of happy birthday by the manager and waiters. They made the evening wonderful and an occasion to remember. Our room was superb, comfortable bed and soft pillows. The house keeping staff are excellent as are every single member of staff we came across during our stay. This is definitely my favourite hotel and we intend to return at the earliest opportunity. 05 March 2014

Situacion optima con buenos restaurantes cerca y relativamente cerca del centro incluso paseando.. La unica imperfeccion seria el desayuno pues por el nivel del hotel, los zumos deberian ser naturales y mas variedad de panes asi como para diabeticos , tipo desnatados y preparados de soja. La variedad de quesos escasa y la ultima hora del desayuno falta una mejor reposicion de dichos productos. En general muy satisfactorio. 26 February 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly Service, Nice Rooms, Great Bed From the initial greeting by the staff to friendly send-off we enjoyed our stay. Rooms were clean and well-appointed. Very comfortable bed, generous bathroom, nice deck (though it was too cold to sit outside). Wi-Fi was very good. Breakfast was sumptuous though pricey if not included in the room rate. Bar stayed open late. Concierge very helpful and patient. Near efficient Metro system. Would definitely come back. 23 February 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent hotel Excellent service all around. The club room, restaurant/bar, and fitness room attendants are particularly helpful. Meals are great and worth the price. On a personal note I have a bad back and it is particularly sensitive to mattress condition. In this respect some rooms are better than others. While all are courteous sometimes the in-room dining services reached by phone can be a touch impatient when dealing with English speakers. I imagine its the rush of working in a kitchen. 16 February 2014

Concierge was attentive and knowledgable, knew where the closest Starbucks was(always important for me). Breakfast was good. Room was well furnished and very clean if a little on the small side for the brand. I'll definitely stay there again. 03 February 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GREAT WEEKEND IN MADRID We stayed in CLUB LEVEL room. The food and service was great in the club lounge. The free WI-FI access was a huge plus. Easy access to the metro system to get to Plaza Mayor and other parts of Madrid. Concierge was also very friendly and helpful with information and securing dinner reservations for us. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by buen hotel pero personal de recepción fatal La verdad que la experiencia fue fatal, siempre que vengó a madrid trato de hospedarme aquí y me había atendido muy bien pero esta vez fui con un amigo el cual quería otro hotel pero por mi insistencia nos quedamos en este. Fui el año pasado Royal y este año baje a pkatinum porque me he comenzado a quedar en otra franquicia y son estos puntos los que me hacen quedarme en otra franquicia. el trato de recepción fatal me dice para terminar que me dieron uno grade y es mentira creo que el hotel no tenía habitación más pequeña porque sino me la dan también. Deben revisar sus políticas, porque de madrid salí y me hospede en el intercontinental de park lañe en Londres y ellos sí saben tratar a un cliente, la diferencia fue de la noche al día. Última vez que le doy una oportunidad al Inter de madrid no me quedare más. Me da pena porque el personal de considere y el de la puerta son muy buenos pero en mi vida e visto peor trato en un front desk, y testigo es mi amigo que estaba conmigo porque ahora para cubrise dicen cualquier cosa. Hasta la supervisora del front desk estuvo muy mal, quise irme pero me dijeron que ya estaba propagado y no se podía. Hoteles como esté para la cadena Inter dan muy mal ejemplo y teniendo tan buen personal en concierne y los que te dan la bienvenida da la entrada. Para el personal del front desk un cliente récord de IFC es igual que basura, debería aprender de otros intercontinental que sí hacen bien su trabajo. 29 January 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bar none Best Hotel In Madrid! 1 - The Staff can't do enough to ensure that your stay is memorable. I was blown away by the fact that when I walked through the door, the Doorman, recognized me, and welcomed me back to the hotel. 2 - The hotel is a block away from the Metro, which if you have an issue paying 30.00 Euros vs. 4.50 Euros to get from and to the airport like I do, it is more than convenient. To me it is a no brainer. If you want to go towards the “Centro” Chueca, Gran Via, etc. The Ruben Dario Metro Station is 2 blocks from the hotel. The Gregorio Maranon Station is one stop away from Renfe’s Nuevos Ministerios is 1 block away from the hotel. This place is definitely well located! 3 - Always ask the front desk if they are offering the access to the Club lounge at check in. The free breakfast and afternoon cocktails and hors d’oeuvres are worth the access upgrade! 4 - The location is one of the best, and safest of all Madrid and if you don’t mind using public transportation to go everywhere, this hotel is perfectly located for that. 5 - Rooms are comfortable, the marble in the bathroom is gorgeous, the rooms are quiet and the bed is extremely comfortable. The selection of TV Channels for whatever time you are in the room is great and the internet service is FAST! I go to Madrid at least once a year, and for me, there is no other hotel in the city. This hotel is the Jewel of Madrid! 25 January 2014
