Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great service from all staff My husband and I spend a few days at malta and had one night at the IC. From the moment we stepped into the hotel service was great. Luggage was kept for us because the room wasn't ready yet. We should receive a phone call when the room was ready. We had a very nice drink and swim by the pool with a great view. Before leaving the hotel for diner the concierge assist us with our online check in and boardingpasses for next morning and as well a taxi. We checked out quit early but although we had no breakfast by the reception as the option for a cup of coffee and tee with some fresh fruit and a croissant. Very nice arranged. Although it was a short stay we had a great time. Thank you. 10 September 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Remarkable accomodation We spent a really pleasant week in the hotel in late August. Our room (a junior suite) was on top floor therefore we escaped from the noise from the street. The hotel is in the middle of one of the party zones of the island not for those ones who look for quite and calm. It has a nice separate area on the beach next to the public one. The beach are was really crowded and we often chose the pool area on the 10th floor. It was unique, huge and tidy. The staff was very helpful from the moment we booked the room until we left the hotel. The breakfast was also excellent with everything a guest would like to have. Generally I can say it deserves the 5 star category and meets the Intercontinental high quality. If I travelled to Malta next time I would defenetly consider to go to this hotel again. 03 September 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by “Just First Class all round!” Stayed for 7 nights 2-9 August on arrival we were upgraded to Presidential Suite due to my Platinum Ambassador status. The suite was amazing! We encountered a problem with one of the TV’s which we reported, the staff could not have been more helpful in trying to fix it, it wasn’t really a major issue to us we were more thinking about someone after us trying to use it, we weren’t there to watch TV because it wasn’t fixed immediately when we booked Waterbiscuit for a meal that night we were informed the meal would be complimentary not necessary but much appreciated. We ate at Pranga and Waterbiscuit several times during our stay in fact only eating outside these two hotel restaurants one night both restaurants are excellent. Pranga more for waterfront location although the food is good, the food at Waterbiscuit is just exquisite. The best thing about Intercontinental Malta is the staff absolutely every member of staff you encounter always smiles and greets you from the moment you walk through the door from the lady servicing the room to the fantastic staff in the Executive Lounge. It feels a little unfair to single out some but Inna was brilliant with her smiling face every morning at breakfast, remembering our preferences and always there to help. Nicola, Angelic, Maggie and Laure also more than worthy of mention for their absolute perfect understanding of customer service and hospitality always helpful, always smiling always happy to converse. Every guest is made to feel extra special and absolutely nothing is too much for them. Some comment on the streets outside I would not let you put this off once inside the hotel resort you have no idea what is outside and it’s not exactly Ayia Napa not that it bothers us anyway. I would fully recommend this hotel and upgrading to have access to the Exec lounge for the superb benefits this brings the breakfast is excellent, afternoon tea delightful and evening drinks and canapés on the beautiful terrace the most perfect start to every evening . This was our second visit here and we are now booking our third we shall see you again very soon. 27 August 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by The staff was great It was a little dated exterior, but there was a very clean interior Did you get Renyuaru. Those who feel good in the friendly staff was larger. We reserved a KING PANORAMIC IC CLUB ROOM, but I was upgraded to junior suite for award of Ambassador membership. It is the impression that the room is not to say that the lower floors, but that has been upgraded in a businesslike manner and without thinking feeling scenery facing the courtyard day was also booked a panoramic in a bad room. The staff is also great club lounge, but it was state breakfast does not shine nearly every day instead, also added that it will not be in very poor food such as the time period for the other. It was a level that disappointed compared to the lounge of the Intercontinental Asian. But I also rich in whole to it was stay satisfactory. The staff is because all was great too. 27 August 2014

The breakfasts were delicious and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We are planning on taking another trip to Malta and will definitely be staying at the Intercontinental Hotel again. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay Overall this is an excellent hotel. We were bed and breakfast and the choice at breakfast was excellent best I have seen. The towel tokens was an excellent idea the fact that you didn't need towels at the pool or beach was a brilliant extra well done. The room was excellent and the beds so comfortable. Or only fault was the shower leaked which we reported on numerous occasions which they did try to fix but unsuccessfully. Although the maids did leave extra towels for to dry up the leak. Make sure and check cupboard for tea making facility only found it 2 days before going home 26 August 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by INTERCONTINENTAL (MALTA) EXPERIENCE My top marks in all categories speak for themselves. My wife and I stayed here with our 13 yr old daughter for a week in August 2014. Over the years I've stayed in some of the worlds best hotels and I would certainly rank our Intercontinental experience amongst the top ten. Food, staff, service - nothing too much trouble, beds very comfortable; pool bar restaurant, food, drinks and service first class and always plenty of sun beds and towels. Gym, indoor pool, steam & sauna top class. The staff, their attentiveness, helpfulness and general all round attitudes were amongst the very best we have ever encountered. We upgraded the room to what they call IP Panoramic and Club Intercontinental which gave us a room on Floor 13 with a balcony and fabulous views over the pool and gardens and made us members of the Exclusive Club Lounge (floor 15#, the benefits of which are too numerous to list and well worth the extra little bit of money #personally I think the hotel undersells this one or doesn't realise how good it is and doesn't make enough of it). We are aware some reviews have said the hotel is a "little tired in parts", OK some corridor carpets look a little worn but it's 10 years old and about to start a refurbishment programme. As for the "local area" we never found it bad - just "busy". The hotel "fronts" onto a busy main street about 100 yards up from the beach - our daughter loved it and personally I'd rather have that, where I can walk to interesting places, than be in the middle of nowhere where everything needs transport. We'll definitely stay here again and will definitely telephone the hotel direct and make our own booking and then buy our own flights to match into - easy peasy and you save enough money this way to more than pay for upgrading. 26 August 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by mixed feelings i would say the best added value of this hotel is the wonderful fitness center available. The swimming pool is ok but not appropriate for swimming (meaning shape and shallowness) . The beach is not exactly next to the hotel but needs a walk of 200 mts. The rooms are ok but certain renovations need to be made. i was not very happy with the large amount of deposit they require. 24 August 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by LOVELY STAY Great to be upgraded to a good sized room overlooking the pool with larger than usual bathroom and balcony. Very comfortable bed and pillows, curtains kept the room dark and air con worked well. Believe the rooms are due to be refurbished but very clean. Worth paying for club lounge access as breakfast and pre-dinner drinks pay for themselves and staff friendly. All staff were great but Myvern stood out as the one person who went out of his way to make our holiday special as did the managers at the cocktail party. Would definitely go back but not in August when pool is too full of kids jumping on you and around the hotel is full of foreign students. Lovely holiday thanks IHG and Malta! 23 August 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 Good but had a problem The hotel is beautiful, well located. Our stay was great with the exception that a shoe was lost in the room and when I asked for help nobody knew anything about it. Please be more careful with guests personal belongings in the rooms and if something like this does happen the least I expect is some sort of compensation from the hotel. 20 August 2014

There was no doubt whatever that they were there to make our stay most enjoyable and ensure we came back again for another vacation. Any minor issues were addressed immediately and treated as an opportunity to impress. Rooms a little dated but did not detract from our enjoyment. Would highly recommend the hotel as a holiday destination. 19 August 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just wonderful Since the day we arrived, we were greeted very nicely by very warm and kind staff. The staff also gave us advice on places to visit, directions, and methods of transport. The room was very nicely decorated, with very warm and cheerful colours. The music at the Al Fresco gardens created a very nice ambiance. The things on offer in the Lounge were fantastic such as the refreshments, afternoon tea, evening drinks including the hors d'ouvers. Breakfast was also a great start to the day with a great view from the terrace. It also had a great variety of food and the chef was ready to fulfill our every wish. 18 August 2014

Facilities. - as you'd expect 5*. Restaurants, bars, leisure facilities it's all there. Hotel itself is centrally located near the beach and all the local restaurants / nightlife. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Beach Club Heaven Stunning hotel. Ask for a room overlooking the garden and pool deck and you will be richly rewarded. This hotel is an immaculate, calm and tranquil oasis on the island. Staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble. When we checked in our room safe was not working. Called reception who said an engineer would be there in fifteen minutes - he knocked on the door in five minutes! Brilliant. The restaurants are fantastic. Take time out to dine in the al fresco garden restaurant though. It has a wonderful atmosphere in the evening. For me, the best part of this hotel is the Continental beach club. By day an exclusive beach bathing area with great beach chill-out music. By night a wonderful cocktail bar with sand between your toes... 13 August 2014

The private hotel beach with hotel's wife is just steps away from the hotel, fitness and spa facilities are pretty impressive. The room was clean and the bathroom is very spacious. Breakfast was very good as well. The outdoor pool is not too deep, but good enough to get wet during hot days. As an IHG club member I was given one-time complimentary drink ticket and one-time 10% discount voucher in one of the hotel's restaurants. 12 August 2014
