Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful staff at a great hotel I have just returned from a weeks holiday at the Intercontinental, Malta, and wish to thank all the staff for making our stay so special and memorable. We were meet at the airport by a very pleasant taxi driver which had been arranged by the hotel and quickly taken to the hotel. Once there, instead of checking in at the lobby, we were taken to the executive lounge and offered refreshments as the receptionist dealt with our reservation. From here onwards the treatment we recieved by the hotel staff was beyond 5 star and they couldn't have been better. Our rooms were of a good size (exec panaramic# with views over the gardens and pool. They were clean and housekeeping were very helpful, including a turn down service each evening #the bedtime story was a nice touch). We tried several of the in house restaurants and each time the food was excellent and reasonably priced compared to retaurants in the local area. I would recommend the veal at the Waterbiscuit especially. I also had an Indian Massage in the hotel. something I hadn't tried before but again the staff were very helpful and explained all the various massages and treatments and really took time to ensure you had a pleasnat experience throughout. During our stay it happened to be my birthday and I was surprised to recieve a bottle of wine delivered to my room from the hotel. A very nice touch which was very much appreciated. Overall, our stay was one of the best holiday experiences we have had. The hotel was in a good location for touring Malta and the facilities were second to none. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Intercontinental Malta and I am already planning my next trips there. Thank you to all the staff who made our time so memorable and for making us feel like VIPs during our short stay. 27 November 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Hotel was fine, check in staff & gym staff..... That's another story I'll keep this short as I don't have much time. My check in was poor. The girl didn't understand why I was there (part of a large conference booking) and tried to upsell me breakfast. I understand sales but annoying a tired traveler is not a great start. She then wanted to check my stay with her manager, causing embarrassment at reception whilst I watched my colleague have a very smooth check in experience. I then had to ask for the wifi details and gym card, I only knew about this because I saw my colleague being offered them. My gym experience was equally poor. I was asked to leave the gym because my footwear was inappropriate. I'm not sure why it was in appropriate but the way I was asked to leave was shocking. A short man with a very abrupt manner stated 'you must leave!'. I wouldn't stay at this hotel again. 26 November 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable room and great cooking The hotel is well situated to start sightseeing. The staff is efficient, smiling and keen to help and answer questions. The room was well equiped, very comfortable and the cleaning service was great. However, we were sometimes annoyed by the noise coming from the machinery located on the roof close to our balcony. The quality of the breakfast and meals served in the restaurant was really good, there was a huge variety of dishes and the staff was very friendly and efficient. 22 November 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by !!! GREAT HOTEL !!! I was having the pleasure to be a guest in the Hotel Intercontinental in Malta in November 2013 with an employee. We were on this great little island for technical installations and we enjoyed the large and comfortable rooms of the Interconti on the 13th floor after work. The view to the beach and to the pool area was incredible and and the beautiful sunsets were sweetening our visits in the bar on the roof after busy workdays. The sleep was perfect and sound and the nights were quiet despite the location of the hotel in the nearest vicinity of the fanciest, most colorful and most unbelievable but still friendly leisure zones of Europe. Not only the Hotel Intercontinental but also the Maltese citizens are extremely pleasant and very helpful. Whoever cannot enjoy a good and unforgettable time here should better stay home and don't do any trips to foreign countries.A very special feature is the WiFi which is - as a basic service - for free but can be upgraded in case you're a data hungry download junkie. A very unique feature and very seldom seen in 5-star hotels here around. 16 November 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 4 days in Malta Our stay in Malta had been wonderful. We liked a lot the hotel, slept very comfortably. Although the hotel is at the centre of the Paceville you can relax in the silence of your room. We appreciated a lot the help we had from Achille, the concierge, who helped us with the trip to Gozo and other things. The hotel is near to the bus stop and all the things a tourist needs. Unluckily we had not the time to try the pool and the spa. 09 November 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by very nice room with panoramic views The room exceeded expectations with the normal additions, tea coffee etc but included dressing gowns slippers and a complimentary bottle of wine and biscuits. It was also a nice surprise to get breakfast as complementary as well. All in all a memorable experience. 08 November 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic and proffesional service The hotel is located perfectly very close to the beach. They have a private beach with a nice bar and comfortable sun chairs. You do not even need your own towels. You get a towel card when you check-in and can borrow towels both on the beach and indoor/outdoor swimming pools. It works perfectly. The staff is very helpful in a professional way. The breakfast was fantastic. We stayed there with our 11-years old daughter and we all were very satisfied with the Intercontinental. 07 November 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lovely Hotel stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in October 2013 and have to say the quality of the hotel exceeded our expectations. The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is very close to the weekend busy nightlife but you certainly wouldn't know it. The description states the room is soundproof and it was. Spacious room and bathroom. We only booked for bed and breakfast and the breakfast catered for every taste and need. The breakfast staff were very pleasant and helpful, especially Joseph who was a very nice mature and happy gentlemen with plenty of knowledge of the surrounding area on where to go and what to do When you get to the airport there is a taxi office where you can get transport to the hotel for 20 euros and at the hotel taxis are available round the clock. The hotel has its own private beach with beds and towels, a beach bar also serving food and all the staff were very pleasant and very helpful. Overall a very enjoyable and relaxing stay. Would recommend this Hotel to couples singles and families alike of all ages. 03 November 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by friendly staff I was assigned a swimming pool VIEW room which had a large tree immediately in front of the balcony.....there was absolutely no view of anything........except the tree. as a platinum member I thought I would be assigned a higher floor or at least one that didn't have a tree growing on the balcony. The staff was friendly, but the location questionable and difficult to find when driving. MORE SIGNS?????????? 31 October 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Parking / Dining Hi I have enjoyed our weekend stay over at the hotel however these 2 points below have changed my mind on coming back another time. #1 - As a 5 star hotel it should be standard policy to offer free parking to residents who stay more than 1 night at the hotel (Friday-Sunday). At check out we left the luggages in the store room to be picked up later and was told by a yuong lady at the reception that we can collect the parking ticket later. Upon returning to collect the luggages, the gentleman at the reception informed us we have no free parking and there is nothing written on our account, he informed me to insert the ticket in the car park machine (like I didnt know). This I believe should be standard policy if you are to be a 5 star is in every 5 star hotel in the area. I ended up having to pay 23euro parking. #2 - I find it very unprofessional that you mention EASTERN BREEZE restaurant on nearly every board next to the lift - stating it is at level 4 (even in the lobby) - Also the room service menu has a page specifically for eastern breeze. I got to know that it doesnt even exist anymore in the hotel by a hotel staff. 31 October 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel with Great Service but.. We stayed in a club room on the 13th Floor. The room was lovely with a good view and very spacious. We had a small problem with the bath but this was quickly and efficiently sorted out within 10 minutes of being reported. I loved the Hotel and the lovely helpful staff, especially Adam on the concierge desk. The location of this Hotel in Paceville is not great, but this did not bother us too much. My only criticism concerns the food. We had breakfast every day in the Executive Lounge but the food was always cold. On our fist evening we ate in the Alfresco Garden and was very disappointed with the quality of the meal. I had the chicken supreme which was a piece of grilled chicken with a mushroom sauce. Chicken was tough and cold. Because of this we ate out every evening except on Monday night. We decided to try another of your restaurants, the Soprano. I ordered the Chicken BBQ pizza. We had to wait 40 minutes for our meal and when it arrived the Chicken BBQ pizza did not have any chicken only bits of bacon. Another big disappointment. I am planning to return to Malta because I loved the Island but will not stay at the Intercontinental because of the bad experience with the food which is a great shame. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Room Needs Updating & Maintenance King bed uncomfortable - was two single beds stitched together. Bed sunk in the middle. Shower leaked. TV remote control not working. Lights had to be kept on if you wanted the electrical power points to work, for e.g. if you were charging your phone. Not the best set up if you needed to charge your phone overnight. Noisy AC in bedroom Hotel service was extremely friendly and professional. The hotel's saving grace. 22 October 2013
