we had an early arrival. check-in took 30 minutes for 2 people, with no one standing in front of us. both of us got smoking rooms assigned, without being warned about it. since only dropped bags, did not notice until at night. requested non-smoking room next day, which was given swiftly with no problems. but premium was to be in front of the elevator hence second night no sleep due to constant traffic.....
servie at the lounge bar (which is very nice) very slow, specially when one wants to pay and leave.

At breakfast they tell me it doesn't matter the amount of checks as breakfast was included in fare. I had to pay for all that at the end.
I found a bag of coffee in my room as appreciation of my stay. 10 minutes later they take it back saying that was for another guest.

I could have missed my flight for something as simple as a wakeup call. Staff were unable to explain why I was not contacted as requested.

I have been staying at the Intercontinental Managua for many years. Staff quickly learn guest's name and call you by your name which makes you feel at home. Having a Priority Club membership helps. It is a delight to have fresh fruit in the room and complementary water bottles every day. Food selection in the restaurant is quite good, although I liked the previous menu better, but staff have prepared food to accomodate my needs. All staff are very kind. I enjoy dining outside, by the pool. Fitness center is average and does not have a sauna, which is a drawback for me. Always a good idea to check your bill at check out. I've been charged for services included as Priority Club benefits, such as internet (afterwards, they refused to rectify the charge). But overall, I always enjoy the Intercontinental Managua.

I stayed here recently and my stay was great The shuttle service the hotels provides is great and is priced very reasonably. They have a state of the art GYM on the first floor which I used daily. The hotel is located smack in the center of managua.

On thursday Jan 24th, i left my room at 8:00 am, came back at 5:30pm and my bed was not done, and nobody cleaned my room, it would have been nice to come back and find a fresh and clean bed, but it was not the case. Diasapointing for the value i expect to get when staying at this hotel.
I always make my reservations through the Priority Club page and this time the check in clerk at the hotel said my number was not in.... he did not know much about the program. Even thought they have a sign in the front desk identifiying the program, there is only one line for members and non members, i did not feel any difference for being a Platinum member.

This is our third time spending vacation time in Nicaragua, and staying in Real Metrocentro for 14 nights was awesome. The attention by the personnel is great and the facilities are first class. The breakfast in the morning is exquisite. We look forward staying our fourth time next year.

Definitivamente es el mejor servicio entre los intecontinental de centro america.
Quiero resaltar el excelente servicio de Scarlet en el piso ejecutivo. Despues de 3 meses de no llegar al hotel,cuando e vio me saludo por mi nombre y se recordaba lo que usualmente pido en el desayuno. De verdad admirable.
El botones del dia de mi salida, vio que el sr que me lustraba los zapatos estaba un poco lento y a mi me urgia salir para el aereopurto, vino y muy sutilmente le dijo que se apurara que yo estaba de prisa.
Estos pequeños detalles hacen que uno se encariñe con el hotel. Lo hacen sentir a uno muy especial.
Los felicito por estos dos empleados. Son un gran activo de su hotel
Aprovecho para desearles una feliz navidad.

Could not have had a better three days. Intercontinental does not disappoint in both service and accommodations. The entire experience was ideal. It was our anniversary and the staff went above and beyond in making it a memorable experience. It has been and will continue to be our hotel of choice.

At a previous visit to this hotel, the clerk at the reception desk extolled the virtues of the Ambassador program. It sounded so good (free room upgrade, fruit in the room on arrival, free mineral water in the room, courtesy gift from management on arrival, and late check-out are some of the advertised benefits).
When I arrived at the Intercon Managua this time, the clerk said nothing about my Ambassador status, except to say that he saw they already had my enrollment number. When the check-in was just about complete, I asked where the room would be - and was told it was a standard room on the 4th floor. I pointed out the guaranteed room upgrade, and the clerk matter-of-factly said there were no better rooms available. He offered to program my room key to allow access to the Executive Floor, but if I ate breakfast there or went to Happy Hour, there would be an extra charge. Finally, after conferring with his associate at the desk, he returned and said they would give me complimentary internet access to compensate for no improvement in the room. (A benefit which is usually included automatically elsewhere.)
48 hours passed with no fruit, free water or any other acknowledgement in the room. Finally, after I asked about it again at the front desk, they apologized - and 4 hours later, it was sent to my room.
I seriously reconsidered my Ambassador program enrollment fee. If I hadn't had other, better experiences at other Intercontinental Hotels in the region, I would ask for my money back. As it is, I'm wondering about going to the competing hotel just up the street on my next trip.

I waited rather long for the room to be given to me, but the worst was that once I got a key, the wrong occupied room was given to me! I opened the door of other guest's room, while he was still there!
To repair it, they supposedly gave me "access" to the executive lounge... however, I had to call reception at night to explain the situation and actually get it, because nobody knew about this!!!
This is UNACCEPTABLE at a five star hotel...

We have to say we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wished could have stayed longer. The people of Nicaragua are so warm and friendly, especially the staff at the Intercontinental. Everyday was a joy down to the smallest details. The location in the city offered all of the amenities and shopping directly across the road.
Everyone remembered us by name and made us feel at home, especially Juan in the Executive Lounge for breakfasts.
Food quality was always great and presented with the greatest concern to detail. Each of the restaurants on the property were enjoyed while here, plus days spent poolside enjoying the sun and serenity.
The property was spotless at all times. There was always someone to assisted with every question.
Concierges and drivers, especially Carlos and Luis made our visit perfect by offering us excellent excursions of the local attractions and excellent knowledge of the area and country. To be able to visit Masaya an active volcano, Granada a beautiful colonial city and San Juan del Sur which was a coastal jewel all based from such a pleasant hotel made our visit memorable. All with our drivers that brought the knowledge and history of such a wonderfully warm and safe country.
We would gladly return to this hotel anytime.

Buenas tardes, he estado hospedado en su cadena de hoteles en Centroamerica y el peor servicio lo recibi en Nicaragua, en varias ocasiones tuve que llamar hasta para que me limpiaran las habitaciones luego de volver cansado de la oficina,el personal poco anuente a ayudar y poco amable.
