Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Needs updating but great service The staff at the hotel are friendly, and generally attentitive. At times, almost too much. No need to have 6-10 people say hello just as I walk to the elevator... The minibar prices were ridiculously over priced, not worth it AT ALL. considering the rooms are maybe early 1990's style at the most, its almost insulting they're trying to charge so much for a bottle of water. The ceilings in the room bathroom and over the bed were so low I could touch them. The bed was like a rock. Worst hotel sleep I had on my 3 week vacation in 3 different countries. The pillows were not comfortable either. My partner and I felt like we were sleeping on a double bed and almost considered sleeping on the floor as it might have been more comfortable. The rest of the room decor and furniture needs a serious update too. For the prices they're charging, its shocking that its so old inside. I've never stayed at an Intercon in such condition. And the fact that they make you pay for the lounge access and breakfast is also insulting, as a platinum member. Thankfully the staff make up for the hotel's old and uncomfortable rooms and decor. Next time I'd try another hotel. 21 October 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by luxurious maintaining its brand quality the staff are outstanding i believe i am totally biazed when i write this review because i am a strong lover of this hotel, the reason was the lovely staff and the excellent service they deliver for their customers. i still believe that when i visit Philippines i can't enjoy without staying at my second house and sharing my hello with brothers and sisters at the intercontinental manila hotel. though this will not make it out of saying still we should say the towels and Lenin should be changed and renovations should take place. maintenance of the bathroom is a must. i thank all the staff whom i dealt with in the reception level 14 and the concierge as well as the jeepney restaurant. 21 October 2014
