Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very disappointed with this hotel To be frank, I am not going to go back again to this hotel. I arrived in the hotel from a long flight and I was very tired to make a complaint but the room was pretty dirty. The room smelt of humidity (a lot) and the carpet and shower were dirty. It's not what I expected from a 5 star hotel in Manila... The relation quality/price very poor. On the other hand, service and stuff are lovely and helpful (very normal in the Philippines). I do think this hotel needs a restoration. 15 September 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Stay in Intercontinental Manila I spent 3 days in Intercontinental Manila this month. The old building did not hide any new or renovated interior. Very poor, old fashioned decoration, functional no design at all in the common areas. Room was small, old style, carpet barely proper and the worse was mattres ! Quality of linen was very poor and look old and used (even if it was clean) I only experienced the breakfast restaurant but the place is overcrowded with tables and quality of food is basic. I do NOT recommend this hotel. 14 September 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by standard drop Only at average score of Staff and Service given was due to one bad experience, after all, most of the staff is great ! I invited my supplier to hv discussion in club lounge at around 3pm+, during discussion, your staff come to inform me that hg tea ( I guess ) will be end, unfortunately I though is going to start as I was concentrate in discussion, therefore I invited my supplier to join us for the hg tea. However I only notice when I saw few cake leftover and they are doing the cleaning, but I can't stop my supplier to consume .. he took 2 pcs of cake and a can of soft drink, thats all. After my supplier left, I tried to experience and negotiate with the counter staff to ask for complementary for my supplier as he consume the leftover due to misunderstood, your staff agreed that but the way she told me and her action make me feel bad. She told me : for this time only, next time I'll charge you !! with that kind of action that like I'm bagger for free meal !! In fact she can just tell me no problem sir with a sweet smiling, that will make me more comfortable right ? I have no problem to pay but thinking my guest not really consume, for long term business, I think you should train your staff be more flexible. The main entrance warm welcome make a good credit, even the ground floor check-in counter are much better than the club floor. 10 September 2014

Everyone was so thoughtful; they upgraded my room, allowed me to check in early and check out late, internet access, gave me flowers, cake and personal messages... all complimentary. Food was great. Everything was clean, nice and comfortable. Everyone was nice and all smiles. It was a very nice experience. 09 September 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Health Center or Gym I went to your gym on a Thus evening 10pm. It was a bad experience, I told the counter girl that I am a house guest & wanted to use the Sauna. The guy show me to the mens room but did not provided me a locker key until I ask for it. When I ask for a towel, I need to wait for more than 5 mins to get a towel & in the mean time no one care to tell me that they need to get from Housekeeping. This is a 1st time I went into a Health center that I must ask locker key & towel & still have to wait. Very bad experience C K Ong 09 September 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 First timer in Manila The location is most suitable for business travellers as the hotel is in the heart of CBD. The stay was comfortable but I found the breakfast menu to be too repetitive and the quality of food was low so i preferred to eat out than an Restaurants in hotel. 08 September 2014

The staff through the whole hotel made up for this though, really everybody from entering the hotel to the bellboys, reception, maids, club staff, all were very attentive and friendly ! 04 September 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by King side bed room not available upon arrival I booked King Size Bed Room through my reservation. However, upon check-in I was told that there wasn't any of suh room left, so that I had to choose to stay in either a Double Bed room or a Smoking King Bed room. This was not right, as when I made the reservation I explicitly selected King Size Bed room over Double Bed room. I asked them to investigate the reason and give me an explanation and solution, but the hotel manager literally told me the same story that there was such room left and no upgrade they were willing to give me either. The font desk staff even asked me how them proves that I did book a king size bed room, which was a very bad experience. 03 September 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Superb Staff, marvelous experience at the Club Lounge. Very happy to have the opportunity to make this evaluation of the last of my many stays at your InterContinental. All was perfect. If I had to mention how to improve any detail, I will mention that considering the Laundry Services, it is highly overpriced considering the quality of the service. The Telephone Service is also super-priced. However, since the rest of the Hotel is supremely excellent, I forgive the Laundry and the Telephone costs. Keep it up: you have a unique and fantastic "home away from home" hotel. 29 August 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Average for an Intercon Stayed here more than a couple of times, the last time was OK. Was welcomed very cordially as an IHG platinum, however was immediately apologized to for not having any availability for a room upgrade. I had just checked the Hotel website the same day of travel and yes there were higher class rooms available. But no room upgrade, I don’t think they prioritize this at all for IHG platinum members. Other than that the whole stay was uneventful nothing special and nothing bad. One major issue about this property is that it is definitely dated, and the rooms are very dusty. You can actually smell the dust, each time you come into the room. Staff were as always very polite and courteous. Also great location to be in. 27 August 2014

They provided all our needs and very friendly in all our request :) Our family enjoyed the pool. Thanks for a wonderful experience staying in your hotel. We will definitely go back. The location is also perfect which is just beside the mall and fast food chains. 25 August 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Feeling at home First of all it is my favourite hotel series, Most of my visits to manila were into this hotel,,, so my comments will be some what comparison to the previous visits along 2 yrs period,, 1- The hotel as know is an old property however it is very well maintained and some renovations running when needed. 2- All time i was greeted too much however, this time i didn't feel the same as before i don't have any idea why ,,, 3- The receptionists were so much less than usual in giving warm welcome i think because of the new staff or the old staff has issues? u can imagine all of my breakfast i tools them in the jeepney restaurant instead of having it in the lounge level 14... 4- The rest of areas were so much great and trying to anticipate my needs. anyways i still believe in the intercontinental series especially the makati hotel because of the services and location. 5- I hope the renovation of the beds, Lenin and the towels should be taken seriously and should be asap..things are so much worn out.. thanks for all staff in this property for their care and loyalty. thanks again for the concierge and security people. thanks for the Jeepney restaurant...... 25 August 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 poor services and faciltiy The overall was good but : 1. The swimming pool was very dirty. 2. One night I found myself with no towels in the room. 3. The concierge is giving all the excuses in the world but can not do his job (Every time i need a taxi - i had to wait 45 minutes). 4. The loyality program is very unclear and very hard to understand what Im getting for when im being loyal. 24 August 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Visit to Manila in August '14 I have been regularly staying at the intercom in Manila for the past 35 years. Think that says a lot in itself. Have stayed at other hotels in Manila but always come back to you. Important thing for me is that if my wife is happy then so am I. She feels at home in the Intercon. Very nice surprise was when we invited some friends to join us for drinks in the Club and found out it was their 25th wedding anniversary that day. We mentioned it to the staff & were really taken back when a little while later they brought a cake to our table. Made every body feel happy. Thank you. 24 August 2014
