I stayed here on business. My company provides me with a local toll free numbers to use for business calls. I have used these numbers without any problelm in many hotels in countries across Asia, Europe, US, Middle East and Africa . However this hotel has a contract with a local telco and that telco doesn't provide access to these toll free numbers. As a result I had to make international phone calls and my phone bill was higher than my room bill

Staff in this hotel are really great and go that extra mile to make you feel comfatable but without being pushy. Really good pick-up service from airport, you can actually check in at the airport so by the time you arrive at hotel everything is ready. Hotel car has wireless internet which is quite hand as Manila traffic can be bad at times. Hotel is located within walking distance of the Greenbelt Mall which is where all the trendy bars are located and within a short taxi ride of the attractions of Manila. It is a very comfatable hotel my only negative comment is that the rooms and particularly the bathrooms are getting a little old and tired now. However the hotel is great value for money.

Even though its had been about two years since i had last stayed at the Intercon Manila, I was constantly surprised at the number of staff members that not only welcomed me back but, actually remembered my name! I was looking to see if i was wearing a name tag - everywhere i went in the hotel, someone greeted me by name.
That only translates to a feeling of welcome and that i matter to the staff. I cant wait to go back!

My arrival and departure times were certainly non standard. After an all night drive, I needed an early check in and on collecting my daughter at the airport, I needed a late check out so that she could freshen up after over 30 hours flying. All my needs were met by the Assistant Manager, Mayumi, and for that I am very grateful. That was not all however. As I entered Manila smoke started pouring from under the hood of my car. I managed to limp to the Hotel where I asked the Concierge staff if they knew a good mechanic who would come out on a Public Holiday. they said "no problem sir" just leave us the keys. An hour or so later I got a call in room to give me a quotation for parts and labor (which was very reasonable and much less than anticipated) then about two hours later a second call asking me to come and check the car as the work was complete. A new aircon compressor, aircon drive belt, pulley, freon top up the whole works. A great job and problem solved without any hassle for me. Very happy guest!

As always, Intercontinental Manila satff went beyond the call of duty. Excellent service.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the people who made my room daily. It's always great to come home to after days of meetings and meeting family and friends.
The room is always clean, ammenities provided, extra-ordinary care given in cleaning my room.
The jeepney coffee shop wait people gave their service with excellence.
Looking forward to another visit.

I encountered the most courteous and helpful staff during my stay and from my experience on the day of my departure. I had checked out and was dropped to the airport by the service personnel of which I had realized that I left my personal belonging inclusive of my passport in the safety box. I was able to flag down the driver who immediately contacted the hotel and took me back to retrieve my belongings. While crunched for time, the helpful staff reprocessed the electronic key and the bell person assisted me in getting my things from the safety box. I was again dropped to the airport where I was able to make it back in time to check in and catch my flight back. After this experience, I definitely will continue staying at this hotel. I commend your staff for staying on top of everything and allowing me the opportunity to come away with a wonderful experience.

I will get directly to points which made my stay at your hotel nothing but a bad experience this time.
1- On checking-in, i presented my priority club card at your reseption desk asking for a smoking room with a good view, instead I was given room 1103 at the end of the corridore overlooking a building with 3 stories of a call center were employees were woking day and night having their time-off in corridores facing my windows which prevented me from having privacy.
2- During my visit to philipine, i stayed in your hotel and 3 others and conducted meetings at a 4th hotel for several days in defferent cities, all provided free wifi connection but the intercont. did not.
3- Your hotel was the only one to ask for a deposit of 50$/day, which was returned upon check out, although i checked in with a group of 10 guests were all our charges were paid for in advance. This never happened with other hotels we stayed in, THEY WERE ALL 5 STAR ONES, and i refrain from mentioning competitors ask you asked, but i can give you the names if you ask for.
4- I know that I asked for a smoking room, but you need to better ventilate these rooms.
5- Its about time you have NEW bed-sheets and bath towles. You have a big name to represent you must live up to it.
Thank you for this opportunity, I sincerely hope the above points are taken under consideration.

This is one of the upper scale hotels in Manila but with better price and comparable service, ambience and amenities. You can even check in sooner than scheduled. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The above average malls are a walking distance and so are the entertainments. I recommend this hotel to everyone.

At check in you are thanked for being a platinum member and a very important guest. The minute later you are told that your room is not finished (at 4:30 pm!!?)
I can not understand how a check-in procedure can take 30 min. It made me miss my telephone conference with my customer .
Rooms are very old looking and would definitely need a renovation.
Health club could maybe win a prize for most equipment in least space. I turned around in the door.
Breakfast definitely not in standard with a 5 star hotel. Very noisy breakfast room as well.
Pick-up from airport was good, but at that price it must be.
The SPA-service was really good but the premises a little out-dated

I tried to charge a meal for my family to my room and was refused. Had to pay cash for our meal, extremely embarrassing.
I wasn't showing in the room I had paid for, even after I went to the front desk. I have stayed here for years but will never stay here again

I have stayed in many different hotels for business trips to Manila but I always return now to the Intercontintal Makati.
The staff are some of the most friendly and courteous people I have ever met and I travel a great deal. It is a city centre Hotel so don't expect it to be the quietest place on earth but the locale and the service make it the first choice for me.

i wanna tell you that I was very sadisfied with your Hotel.
I have been in many Interconti and Holiday Inn Hotels but the service and staff was really the best.
Also Club Lounge Service is very good.

Our experience at Intercontinental hotel has always been exceptional.
However we both find the air conditioning to be very cold and we are not able to turn it up in our room.
This small issue will not stop us returning to your hotel or stop us from recommending it to anyone traveling to Manila.The location to great shopping is excellent
We are returning to stay with you on 21 & 22 October 2012 and
are very much looking forward to it. Your staff are professional and friendly.

Emailed Customer Service (one night before), to check on request for Ambassador Upgrade and possible Early Check-in, did not get response.
Called Hotel upon arrival at MNL Airport, took some time but staff was able to accommodate my requests.
Upon arrival, Security was tight and We were greeted very well and felt very welcome, recognition of Amb-Status was very much appreciated.
Room was all set upon arrival, very clean, no fruits but I didn't mind, as we were able to get a very early check-in 0945hrs.
One Con is that in the room is that you cant watch TV from the bed, you're perpendicular to the TV, and you can watch TV either by sitting in the Couch, or moving the TV (which I did), appreciate if maybe you could put in a turntable underneath TV so we can move it easier if we want?
Staff were very quick to meet our requests, and even made follow-ups to check on us. I am very thankful and would definitely stay there again.
PS: Check on the fluorescent lamp in dresser/cabinet, the cover was missing/no cover.

Intercontinental Manila is an excellent hotel. friendly skilled staff. food & service are excellent. Location is in the best area in Manila , in walking distance to the best shopping malls, Gloritta, Greenbelt ,SM, Landmark and to coffee shops , restaurants. ICON night club in the hotel is one of the best in Manila . I have been to Intercontinental Manila with my kids more than 10 times , because I feel at home.

This was the second time that I have stayed here in the last 12 months. The first time ended badly. It was with some degree of trepidation that I decided to try it again, this time without being a member of the Ambassador Club. What a difference between being an Ambassador Club member vs being a normal individual. I was royally treated as a normal person when I arrived after midnight. It helped that there was no hustle and bustle with everyone trying to check-in or out. Check-in was very efficient and the front desk was able to find my priority number quickly. They were also able to exchange my US $ into Pesos. Checkin couldn't have been more than 5 minutes and my bags was wisked away with me to my room within minutes. Keep in mind this was well after midnight and I was very tired from a 21 hour flight from Washington, DC to Manila with a stopover or two. The staff seemed to know me during my stay and I couldn't have asked for more as a common guest. Checkout was just as efficient. I will not re-join the Ambassador Club as being normal was perfect enough.

Really liked the hotel as they honored most of the Royal Ambassador benefits on my award stay. The location of the hotel is really nice in the center of Makati. I also liked the Club lounge and the employees working there.
I only hope that they would fix the gym that is now operated as a Gold Gym. The equipment was somewhat old and really packed early evening.
