Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Almost the top Fantastic location and building Wonderful room and view (over "le vieux port" and "la bonne mere") Great service at front desk But.....bad breakfast experience Buffet not in the main restaurant but under a tent with view on .... rooms !!! Basic/garden furniture, limited space beetween each table (privacy ???) and decoration to a zero level. Coffee "on the table" in a thermos, tea in bags (no tea pot in a 5 stars !!). Food correct but not more and limited choice. NO service at all under the tent. Overall breakfast experience is really not at a 5 stars level We also had a TV problem at 23H : great reactivity from the front desk (technician was in the room less than 10mn after our call). He was not able to fix it and we were offer to change room (which we declined : problems happen sometimes) 14 November 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great place but noisy This new hotel is fantastic. It is a nice place, with helpfull and kind staff. The breakfast was very good, lots of choises. We had massages which were wonderfull. The SPA was good. The rooms were nicely decorated and spacy. However the cleaning was not as good as we expected as there were glasses marks on the table, greasy fingers marks on the fridge, and hair in the bath. Unfortunately, our week end was not restful, as the room was Noisy. The worsed was a door which was banging all the first night and people walking on parquet. Then we moved to an other room which was quiet but we heard someone walking on the parquet somewhere on the floor for hours. Also the fridge was Noisy. The hotel have carpet and parquet but we do not thing that the parquet was a good idea. Nice place but too Noisy for use. Even if the staff made everything for us to have a great stay. 10 November 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Außergewöhnliches Gebäude Das Hotelgebäude ist wirklich außergewöhnlich, geradezu palastartig. Auch die Gestaltung der Innenbereiche ist wirklich schön. Auch die Lage ist optimal, eine Minute vom alten Hafen entfernt. Das Preise sind allerdings sehr hoch. Das heißt, das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis könnte besser sein. 08 November 2014

The size of the room and terrace, the quality of the furnishings and amenities, the helpfulness of the staff, the quality of the breakfast, and the location of the hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. I would definitely recommend the Intercontinental to anyone travelling to Marseille. 26 October 2014
