Insider Tips

LOCAL CULTURE

Calanques - a unique treasure!

Words are inadequate to the task of describing the Calanques! These inlets, like searching emerald fingers that lay claim to the rugged white rocks along the coastline, are certainly among of the world’s most famous shorelines. The Concierge will be both proud and pleased to help you with reservations for a boat trip: the best way to enjoy the Calanques close up! Unquestionably the experience of a lifetime.
THE HISTORICAL GATEWAY TO THE PROVENCE
InterContinental Marseille - Hotel Dieu is perfectly located overlooking the Vieux Port, adjacent to the oldest district in Marseille known as the Panier. The hotel is housed in a listed historical monument dating back to the 18th century and features a spectacular terrace, where you can relax while admiring the Vieux Port. Nearby the Calanques must be seen. Marseille is the vibrant Mediterranean's capital of Provence.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Maybe the best Intercontinental hotel All the staff members were very polite and were always helpful. Marie at the front desk upgraded me when i identified my self as Ambassador member, that too at the time of check in. I was part of the a business conference, but she very patiently found a beautiful room. Also anytime she saw me, always greeted me by my name. My suite was beautiful, well planned and had a superb view of the Garde church and old port from the balcony and also from my bed. Only thing what was little annoying was that there was no table to work. So if you're strictly on business trip, maybe they may've different rooms with a table. Good location, few minutes walking to the old port and harbour front. Overall this is maybe the most beautiful Intercontinental hotel I've ever stayed in. 16 April 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by check out slow Hi, the only negative thing I will suggest is more than one person at the front desk, there was a little line, only one person was available for the check out. THE HOTEL IS GREAT AND STAFF TOO! 15 April 2015
