Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Poor service Please refer to my previous comments. everytime i go to the Intercontental rialto, they never know who i am even though I used to be a frequent client and was also an IHG ambassador. Its just a very poor experience especially considering the amount of business i give you (wel used to give you). I was a very frequent client but stopped for a few year as I changed hotels. decided to give you another try only to be disappointed again. May 17, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Classy Hotel A classy and high quality hotel and easily the best I have stayed at in the Melbourne CBD. Highly recommended to anyone seeking a superb location and facility. The willingness of staff to assist with my queries was welcomed and appreciated. I would also highly recommend eating at the restaurant where the meals were delicious and reasonably priced. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by The service at breakfast needs to improve We always enjoy our stays at the Rialto. Overall our visit was lovely, but I would like to comment on the breakfast service this visit as we were disappointed with the service and commitment to customers at the buffet breakfast on both the Saturday and Sunday. Unfortunately there did not seem to be enough staff on duty, resulting in dirty dishes left on our table throughout our meal, cups of coffee delivered, but our other used coffee cups not taken away, stacks of dishes on vacant tables and in the service bays, meaning that we queued and waited to be seated. There were also a number of the breakfast offerings that were not replenished, and there were empty bowls where fruit once was. Our recent visit was quite different to others where the atmosphere at breakfast was calm and relaxed. The breakfast area this visit was like a busy cafeteria and was more frenetic than I would have expected or hoped for at a five star hotel or more particularly at the Rialto. Of course we will return as we love the hotel and our visits to Melbourne, and we also use other Intercontinental hotels when overseas, but the service on our recent weekend stay has warranted this comment. I love the building and the ambiance but everything else is really good too. The staff are fantastic - especially the concierge team - they seem to take service to a whole new level, they are proactive and really help to make things work well. May 14, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service. I was surprised with the very good service. In order to improve the experience, I will just focus on three or four negative points (and forget all the other good points) : - My room was at ambassador level at the end of the corridor : a bad point : the pressure or more precisely, the flow of the water of the shower (and the sink too) was not enough. Its not pleasant to have weak shower ant take too long time to rince ... - A light smell/odor of ascent conduct in the bathroom wich was not pleasant, - some noise and light under the door wich has a gap, Nevertheless, these problems were slight, not too strong and the overall impression of comfort of the room was still very good. Maintain this very good service, as a "ambassador card" holder, I was surprised by good welcome and will certainly frequent "intercontinental" more often. Regards . May 13, 2015

The staff were knowledgeable and attentive and really capped off an enjoyable stay. You can expect to enjoy a well rested nights sleep with the quality of the bedding and the air conditioning does a great job and keeping the room comfortable at all times. May 12, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent stay at the Intercontinental Melbourne - The Rialto This hotel was amazing. From the time of arrival when the staff helped take our baggage out of the car and then valet parked the car - to booking in and then being attended to in our beautiful clean and comfortable room we had the trip of a life-time. Breakfast was also amazing - much more variety than similar hotels and the staff were so helpful in helping us to choose from such a large variety of foods. All the staff went out of their way to help make our stay memorable, they were so friendly and informative. I have travelled all over the world and I would have to say that the staff in this hotel are second to none. May 12, 2015
