Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Aesthetically pleasing building, lovely room I booked a Club Room and when I entered the hotel, I was blown away by the elegance of the building. After a hectic business day, I certainly enjoyed the hushed and plush surroundings of the Rialto's lobby area. I didn't get to use the facilities at the gym but the fitness equipment was modern and the pool looked bright and inviting. I had a choice of breakfast at the Club Lounge or at the restaurant and for convenience, I chose to have breakfast at the Club. Service was thoughtful and attentive and there was a good variety of food-both cooked-to- order and from the buffet. Overall, an enjoyable stay. 01 September 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful Room and Wonderful Service I was welcomed as an Ambassador Member and upgraded to a lovely suite. The room had wonderful high ceilings, a great work area and felt like an apartment. For my purpose of work and leisure it was just perfect. The service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. 01 September 2014

The room service meals at breakfast and dinner were prompt and of a high food standard. I was greeted by all staff with a friendly and capable manner from the time of my arrival until my departure. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful, Lovely and Boutique This is my first time at The Rialto and my first night; already loving it. Previously when I came to Melbourne, the Rialto was still undergoing renovation. Checkin was extremely smooth and helpful; they called me in advance while I was still at the airport. Lunch at the basement restaurant was great. Staff recommended items and drinks to go. Cheerful, smiling; really made our day. Try the Tasmanian trout and the Milwa chicken. The King room is not particularly spacious compared to other Intercon; Rialto is a refurbishment of a historic building, and the hotel had to make do with the space constraints. Balcony face inwards but I have no complaints. Night-time the hotel is a beauty. Breakfast was awesome. Location is near Yarra, Crown casino and the CBD shopping areas. Within walking distance from Flinders Station and Southern Cross Station (Bus shuttle from Tullamarine) as well. Concierge went out of the way to assist. Apart from the room being well-equipped with basic necessities and hotel safe, each room has a coffee maker. Generally clean and smells fresh throughout the hotel. Housekeeping could have smiled more. I highly recommend this hotel if you have wish to take in the Rialto Experience - a mix of historic conservation with modernity and guest first service. 29 August 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Phenomenal Stay! I cannot praise my stay at the Intercontinental enough, the staff went above and beyond any means of help, so lovely and welcoming. The room, was absolutely amazing, gorgeous bed, amazing view from the balcony, roomy, comfy.. i can't explain how good it was. Everything was perfection and i will 100% be recommending The Intercontinental Melbourne to everybody I know. 28 August 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A wonderful Stay From the moment Cliff the Concierge welcomed us to the time we left, we felt like and were treated like honoured guests. Nothing was too much trouble and there was a genuiness about the staff attitude. The Club Lounge was great, the staff wonderful and engaging. The highlight, at least for my sister was being greeted ecah day by Cliff! 27 August 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great service and beautiful hotel This hotel was very lovely! We enjoyed our stay and all the staff were very helpful and which service was excellent! However, on the last night of our stay the staff at the Alluvial Restaurant got our order wrong and even though we didn't eat it they still billed us for it. At the time we were quit angry so we didn't to go to the club lounge and had asked if the chef there could make a pasta dish for us but there wasn't and then we explained what had happened to the lovely staff named Lily. Lilly was so helpful she did a search on all the restaurants around to see if there were any that we would like and also asked if we would like to order room service and also continued to see how we were doing and if we needed any more drinks or snack. We then left the club lounge to back to our room as we were still hungry and decided to order room service. After our food came, we received a call from the Alluvial Restaurant manager to apologize as he had no idea what had happened and also came up to apologized in person and tell even took the room service charge off our bill! Overall they were very quick to resolve unhappy clients!! Lily from the club lounge should definitely be appraised for her service!! 27 August 2014
