The room was good, and the staffs were really friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again if I have an opportunity to visit Melbourne again. 16 September 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Sleepless in Melbourne The sound of running water through a pipe (glug, glug, glug) in the wall between the bathroom and where the bed was located in the Deluxe room (on the 4th floor) every few hours was disruptive for sleep. Thinking it was just the heater (it was early September), after I had turned it off, closing down and being exhausted I thought nothing of it and put my ear plugs in. On the second night after being woken 4-5 times (even with ear plugs), at 4am I asked to change rooms after explaining what the problem was. This was done immediately. I was put into one the ground floor rooms (which I highly recommend). As this was a business trip, I was exhausted for my days at work (which defeated the purpose of staying at a 5 star hotel). Also, on check-in my profile name was correct but had the wrong details (address, Ambassador number etc). This also occurred on mye last stay at the IinterCont at Melbourne. They assured me at the front desk it had been fixed this trip and that it would no longer be a problem. Apparently not. Today, I received a customer satisfaction survey with the same incorrect details. So not fixed! 11 September 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff, Great Location, Excellent Experience The staff were friendly and helpful at check-in. I felt welcomed to the property and they made sure I had everything I needed for my stay. From the excellent meals in the restaurant to the help securing tickets for the theater and dinner reservations, this hotel provided great service. The bed was comfortable and perfect for a good night's sleep. The location is close to the train station and a short walk to other attractions in the city. I'll stay here on my next visit to Melbourne and recommend it to my friends and colleagues as well. Well Done Rialto! 10 September 2014

Special thanks to Dimitri who organized warming of our babies milk at 9pm. Thanks to all the breakfast team who obliged our daughter and provided yummy food with a smile. Thanks to the checkin staff who found a room with a bath for our daughter. We loved our stay. 10 September 2014

My girlfriends had never been to the Hotel - and thought it was wonderful. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Staff exceeded expectations From the moment we arrived at your fabulous hotel we were greeted with a warm welcome by the person who checked us in, she was excellent and gave a great first impression. In fact every staff member I came into contact with delivered great customer service. Our company, Business Training New Zealand teaches customer service to people in similar roles so I know what good and bad service looks like. Your staff got it right every time and made us feel very welcome and at home in your hotel. They were so attentive, willing to please and genuine. Making the customer experience second to none. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Aesthetically pleasing building, lovely room I booked a Club Room and when I entered the hotel, I was blown away by the elegance of the building. After a hectic business day, I certainly enjoyed the hushed and plush surroundings of the Rialto's lobby area. I didn't get to use the facilities at the gym but the fitness equipment was modern and the pool looked bright and inviting. I had a choice of breakfast at the Club Lounge or at the restaurant and for convenience, I chose to have breakfast at the Club. Service was thoughtful and attentive and there was a good variety of food-both cooked-to- order and from the buffet. Overall, an enjoyable stay. 01 September 2014

The room had wonderful high ceilings, a great work area and felt like an apartment. For my purpose of work and leisure it was just perfect. The room service meals at breakfast and dinner were prompt and of a high food standard. I was greeted by all staff with a friendly and capable manner from the time of my arrival until my departure. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful, Lovely and Boutique This is my first time at The Rialto and my first night; already loving it. Previously when I came to Melbourne, the Rialto was still undergoing renovation. Checkin was extremely smooth and helpful; they called me in advance while I was still at the airport. Lunch at the basement restaurant was great. Staff recommended items and drinks to go. Cheerful, smiling; really made our day. Try the Tasmanian trout and the Milwa chicken. The King room is not particularly spacious compared to other Intercon; Rialto is a refurbishment of a historic building, and the hotel had to make do with the space constraints. Balcony face inwards but I have no complaints. Night-time the hotel is a beauty. Breakfast was awesome. Location is near Yarra, Crown casino and the CBD shopping areas. Within walking distance from Flinders Station and Southern Cross Station (Bus shuttle from Tullamarine) as well. Concierge went out of the way to assist. Apart from the room being well-equipped with basic necessities and hotel safe, each room has a coffee maker. Generally clean and smells fresh throughout the hotel. Housekeeping could have smiled more. I highly recommend this hotel if you have wish to take in the Rialto Experience - a mix of historic conservation with modernity and guest first service. 29 August 2014

The room, was absolutely amazing, gorgeous bed, amazing view from the balcony, roomy, comfy.. i can't explain how good it was. Everything was perfection and i will 100% be recommending The Intercontinental Melbourne to everybody I know. 28 August 2014

Nothing was too much trouble and there was a genuiness about the staff attitude. The Club Lounge was great, the staff wonderful and engaging. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great service and beautiful hotel This hotel was very lovely! We enjoyed our stay and all the staff were very helpful and which service was excellent! However, on the last night of our stay the staff at the Alluvial Restaurant got our order wrong and even though we didn't eat it they still billed us for it. At the time we were quit angry so we didn't to go to the club lounge and had asked if the chef there could make a pasta dish for us but there wasn't and then we explained what had happened to the lovely staff named Lily. Lilly was so helpful she did a search on all the restaurants around to see if there were any that we would like and also asked if we would like to order room service and also continued to see how we were doing and if we needed any more drinks or snack. We then left the club lounge to back to our room as we were still hungry and decided to order room service. After our food came, we received a call from the Alluvial Restaurant manager to apologize as he had no idea what had happened and also came up to apologized in person and tell even took the room service charge off our bill! Overall they were very quick to resolve unhappy clients!! Lily from the club lounge should definitely be appraised for her service!! 27 August 2014

Needed someone to come up and check so I wasn't charged for anything I didn't have. Had to wait about half an hour for this. In house dining meal was not good enough quality for price and reputation of dining. Overall enjoyed my stay. 24 August 2014
