Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Melbourne at its best! A lovely way to mark a wedding anniversary , a wonderful room in a wonderful hotel , close to all of the great things that Melbourne has to offer . We felt like we were sleeping on a cloud the bed was so comfortable! Great pool and Gym , and a terrific breakfast! 23 April 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Degraves Suite Great location Very clean room Great that each suite is decorated differently I thought the price was a bit much for what we got in return We couldn't use some of the features. I think that was because we couldn't get them to work, but maybe they weren't even setup? We could only get music to play through 1 TV and there seemed to be lots of speakers that could play into each room but I'm not sure if they were setup. We also couldn't find a remote for the TV over the bath, so maybe that isn't set to play? All of those things are luxuries but they're better off not there if they don't work or are not intuitive to work. I also rang the front desk and it rang out. I don't know if that was just bad luck because 5 other people were ringing or checking out. I thought I might get a call back but that didn't happen either. The Club Lounge refreshments and staff were excellent and we had a very nice dinner at Merchant, the adjoining restaurant. I also thought Valet could probably have been included given that, as a % of the room price it was pretty small. I'm pretty sure 90%+ of your revenue comes from business clients that stay a few nights and don't care much for the little things but it is noticed by people staying for leisure :) Patrick 22 April 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Surprise! My partner surprised me with a stay in Melbourne city for the night. Not knowing where I was headed, there was a lot of excitement for something new and different. One of the impressive surprises is that the lady at reception knew my partners' name before we said a word! WOW moment number 1 of many. The concierge and door men have fabulously friendly expressions, are polite and welcoming. The Intercontinental is a beautiful building and has very comfortable rooms. Incidentally, I had been to the Intercontinental 2 days beforehand after a work related visit to the Rialto for coffee and to continue our meeting. The coffee was sensational. I highly recommend the Intercontinental for all the little WOW moments and more. 22 April 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing Getaway! My husband and I enjoyed every minute of our quick getaway in Melbourne. From minute we arrived the Staff looked after us. The concierge gave us great recommendations for dinner, we were so lucky to get a table at one of them. It was our 10th wedding anniversary and it was a trip to remember . Thank you ! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff, service and location We had a very enjoyable stay at The Rialto. Location was perfect for inner Melbourne and the staff and service was excellent. Special mention to Arthur who greeted us on arrival then throughout our stay, his service and knowledge was outstanding. Also a special mention to the two ladies in the Market Lane Bar, incredible service and always with a smile. Only small negative was the pillows, struggled with these .... The Rialto has become our place to stay when in Melbourne. 20 April 2015

Overall it is a very business orientated hotel but it is in the middle of everything to either walk down to the casino or go the other way towards the emporium shopping centre. 18 April 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Property is great but IHG is not Having booked this through the IHG website, I submitted a claim through the best price guarantee offer (as the hotel was cheaper on a different website) Claim was denied as at the time the IHG staff checked the competitor rate it had gone up. I provided screen shots of the rate at the time of booking and was told theu don't accept screen shots as they may have been edited. Spent around 3 hours on the phone with "best price guarantee" department with no resolution and another hour on the phone with the Corperate office in Sydney with no resolution. Arrived at the hotel with the staff well aware of the situation, as a platinum member was given a room upgrade and the staff where amazing! However when it came time to check out I was offered $15 off my parking bill in Lou of the $300 I was owed from the best price guarantee not being met. Staff told me the hotel was separate from IHG and there was nothing they could do. 16 April 2015
