Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Our departing flight was rescheduled for a day later than planned due to mechanical problems with the plane. I informed the hotel we would be getting in a day later, Their response to that was no problem, don't worry. This 14 night trip was paid for in advance, however now we were going to be there only13 nights. I inquired about staying an extra night to get what I had paid for and I was told, after a week and a half of haggling, that I would have to pay for the additional night. This made no sense to me. I also did not receive a refund for this night by the hotel or the travel agency. The food in the restaurant was only passable. I ordered a pizza for lunch one day and I received a frozen one similar to what you would get from the frozen foods section of your supermarket, It was not even a very good one at that, and it was barely cooked. The hotel was very noisy, therefor difficult to get to sleep and stay asleep. Doors to the rooms were slamming,(and I mean SLAMMING) all night long or someone was talking loudly going down the hall. The safe in our room was broken so I reported it. Someone came to look at it but that was as far as it went. I was quite disappointed. I had to carry all of my money with me, and a lap top computer whenever I left the hotel. 10 February 2014

Ademas nunca cumplen con los beneficios de cliente elite El uniforme del personal muy sucio Servicio telefonico malo Yo aprecio este hotel, pero en mi opinion tienen que mejorarlo, para que pueda seguir siendo de su Cadena Mis comentarios son para que mejoren, ya que siempre que me hospedo es lo mismo 03 February 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SUPERB SETVICE FROM GUEST SERVICE MANAGER We stay in the hotel for Christmas and new year we were properly advice by the guest service manager of the main attractions in the area and he provide us relevant insight of how to better enjoy our stay. He went far beyond his duties to insure that my family and my self (party of 7) had an unforgettable new year party, he made all the calls to insure us a table in a last minute request. I´m highlighting Guest services but the reception, housekeeping and the Restaurant personnel attended all our requests and demonstrated a commitment to excellence that needs to be recognized. I'm Mexican and their customer service approach and business ethics made me so proud of my heritage. Merida Intercontinental superb!! 08 January 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel in fantastic location I had the opportunity to spend 3 days at the Inter-Continental Merida last month. Their rooms were spacious, food in the restaurant reflected the local cuisine and the staff was very helpful. On Saturday I walked the neighborhood and found art on the streets and some beautiful homes and buildings. the staff recommended the path and I was not disappointed. Highly recommend this hotel should you travel to Merida. 11 December 2013
