Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by habitación ruidosa y personal deficiente Tengo la experiencia de esta cadena en otras ciudades como Puebla y Cd. de México, este (en Mérida)nada que ver con la categoría de aquellos. Es un hotel viejo,con mucho ruido, que no vale lo que te cobra. Pero sobre todo,la mayor descepciòn es el personal a cargo: lento,descortés,sin interés ,no le importa tu opinión o tus requirimientos ,simplemente se apegan a un *no hay* mi estadía fue simplemente sin descanso. sin duda nunca regresaría a este hotel. me dejé llevar por la experiencia de estos en la ciudades ya mencionadas . muy mal...¡¡¡¡ 09 July 2014

I also found the common areas to be clean and inviting. I travel to this area regularly and will stay here again. 25 June 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient location - questionable billing This hotel is conveniently located to restaurants, shops, and Many Other Hotel options. Normally, I seek out Intercontinental properties for the brand reputation, but this stay got off on the wrong foot. My reservation was made on the IHG website for a single fixed price in US dollars for each of the 4 nights, but upon check-in the rate varied by as much as 20-25 dollars per night in Mexican Peso conversion. Exchange rate cannot be blamed because this was done on Day 1. I was staying at this property with others from my company for business, or I'd have gone to one of the many other adjacent hotel options. Aside from the billing, the room was comfortable, and the in-room dining was good. Service at the bar was really poor, and my co-workers and I were the only guests being served at the time. This was an unfortunate experience indeed, and did not live up to the high level or service I've come to expect from Intercontinental locations. 20 June 2014

Llevo ya tiempo visitando Mérida tanto por razones familiares como de negocio frecuentemente y sin duda alguna disfruto mucho hospedarme en el Presidente. Lo mejor, unico e inigualable y que no he visto en otros hoteles de esta cadena y otros es la atención del personal y como me procuran para que la pase bien. El hotel en términos generales es muy bueno, con buena comida, buenas habitaciones pero el staff es maravilloso! 18 June 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Nice Rooms The rooms are large, modern, clean and well equipped. I am not sure about the room smoking policy but the cigar smoke emanating from next door did not respect our smoking preference. The rooms have a safe, large enough for a laptop which we found useful. The bathroom is much larger and better equipped than most however we found that the cleaning staff tended to leave the shower valve in hand held mode and when we turned it on, it sent a powerful jet of water directly at the door. The floors are very slippery when wet. The quality of the rooms is the primary selling point of this hotel. We faulted the public areas and service. The pool area is small, the bar is small and with so many other options for dining nearby, there is not much reason to hang out there. The service was not poor so much as we had little interaction with anyone. 03 June 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Our departing flight was rescheduled for a day later than planned due to mechanical problems with the plane. I informed the hotel we would be getting in a day later, Their response to that was no problem, don't worry. This 14 night trip was paid for in advance, however now we were going to be there only13 nights. I inquired about staying an extra night to get what I had paid for and I was told, after a week and a half of haggling, that I would have to pay for the additional night. This made no sense to me. I also did not receive a refund for this night by the hotel or the travel agency. The food in the restaurant was only passable. I ordered a pizza for lunch one day and I received a frozen one similar to what you would get from the frozen foods section of your supermarket, It was not even a very good one at that, and it was barely cooked. The hotel was very noisy, therefor difficult to get to sleep and stay asleep. Doors to the rooms were slamming,(and I mean SLAMMING) all night long or someone was talking loudly going down the hall. The safe in our room was broken so I reported it. Someone came to look at it but that was as far as it went. I was quite disappointed. I had to carry all of my money with me, and a lap top computer whenever I left the hotel. 10 February 2014

Ademas nunca cumplen con los beneficios de cliente elite El uniforme del personal muy sucio Servicio telefonico malo Yo aprecio este hotel, pero en mi opinion tienen que mejorarlo, para que pueda seguir siendo de su Cadena Mis comentarios son para que mejoren, ya que siempre que me hospedo es lo mismo 03 February 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SUPERB SETVICE FROM GUEST SERVICE MANAGER We stay in the hotel for Christmas and new year we were properly advice by the guest service manager of the main attractions in the area and he provide us relevant insight of how to better enjoy our stay. He went far beyond his duties to insure that my family and my self (party of 7) had an unforgettable new year party, he made all the calls to insure us a table in a last minute request. I´m highlighting Guest services but the reception, housekeeping and the Restaurant personnel attended all our requests and demonstrated a commitment to excellence that needs to be recognized. I'm Mexican and their customer service approach and business ethics made me so proud of my heritage. Merida Intercontinental superb!! 08 January 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel in fantastic location I had the opportunity to spend 3 days at the Inter-Continental Merida last month. Their rooms were spacious, food in the restaurant reflected the local cuisine and the staff was very helpful. On Saturday I walked the neighborhood and found art on the streets and some beautiful homes and buildings. the staff recommended the path and I was not disappointed. Highly recommend this hotel should you travel to Merida. 11 December 2013

Conveniently located in the best area, close to everything, a block away from Pase Montejo, Merida's best street. Restaurant service is slow (waiters), and the food quality is very good, and fairly priced. Room super comfortable, just a bit too modern curtains let some light pass. 04 November 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Hard Mattress and Midnight loud noises The mattresses were very hard and uncomfortable. I spent two nigths with my family in two separate rooms, and we all were awaken by loud noises in the rooms next to ours, the noises started at about 3:00 am and were intermitent for about 2 hours. In one of the rooms the noises sounded like heavy furniture being dragged over the floor and on the other like young kids playing aloud. The rooms are decorated with very old, disgusting photographs. We sincerely think that this facility does not share the same quality of beds and room decoration that we are used to find in your very fine IHG family of hotels. 14 July 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Noisy neighbors My partner and I stayed here one night. We chose the Intercontinental because we had to be at the airport at 4:00AM and thought a large hotel would provide better transport options. It did and we found the staff to be knowledgable and friendly. The room was spacious and comfortable, but the noise from the adjacent, connecting room was very loud and woke us up twice during our all too brief sleep. 06 January 2013
