Overall experience was beyond expectations, from the moment that I stepped in the hotel through all the stay. All the staff were professional, courteous, attentive, and knowledgeable.

Don't understand why they have to scan my cc at checkout when they could have done it when checking in.
The lobby looks very dated. It is the same lobby that I remember from 15 years ago. The room, however, is fully remodeled and very nice.

The hotel is in need (and gettiing) an upgrade.
My room was noisy (next to the elevator and below the Club which was noisy during the day). When I enquired about this staff indicated that was the way it was and I had to live with that.
Room service was good but the quality of the kitchen miles away from what you expect from an ICH.

Great service from the moment we walked onto the property. Friendly and helpful staff throughout the hotel and the restaurants onsite. A great location for tourist activities.

Being a Gold Ambasador level IHG member, I was hoping for a really great experience at this hotel. The area the hotel is in, Polanco, is great and near some wonderful restaurants and across from Chapultepec Park (great for walking). The staff was really nice and accommodating. The restaurants were very good and the food was above average for hotel restaurants.
However, I was due a room upgrade at check-in and the hotel's idea of a room upgrade is one that's been recently renovated. My colleague, who has no status at IHG was given the exact same room. So much for an upgrade. The room itself was below average size for Intercontinental, though comfortable and had a really nice view. Unfortunately, the walls are very thin, especially near the door, and you can hear everything! On more thann one occassion, I was rudely awakened by my next door neighbor opening and closing his door. It sounded like they were coming in my room. The whole room shook and the noise was incredible. For an Executive level room, I was highly disappointed.
On the whole, I would stay away from this hotel myself. There are two other international hotels right next door that I'll take my chances with eve though my status isn't as high. Too bad!
