One of the best hotels in a while I have stayed for business travel.
Near great local food, safe area, very secure hotel facilities.
Super clean room, great view from the extra large window (I was on the very top section).
Food available in the hotel was top-notch.
While my reason for the stay was business I can see this hotel as a great place for a romantic get-away for any who would like a full service local to stay in Mexico City.

We had a really good stay. We were visiting from the USA and do not speak Spanish. This was not a problem. The food at the restaurants was great. The shops were great too but very expensive.
We probably would choose this hotel again.

I have stayed in this hotel about 1.5 months and have several points to provide
1. Refurbished rooms are great to stay but rest of the rooms belong 60s
2. For a person who stayed in their hotels 1.5 months i once asked to have apples (4-5 apples) in my room. They delivered it once and notice that they have charged to my room
The amount is insignificant compared to what i paid in total but this's not a right approach if you talk about customer satisfaction
This is one of the incidents that happened to me reflecting the customer service quality.
3. People on front desk (reception) and concierge guys (except the one outside) are probably the most depressed people i have seen in a hotel.
It will not hurt anyone to smile here and there.
4. I asked for an upgrade several times because i was sick of my room on 37th floor but never given one
Just a reminder i stayed there 45 days
5. I asked for club floor access, and given the access only for the last 10 days of my stay
Before i have been told its subject to additional charge.
I have a platinum membership status.
When i asked the access my membership was gold.
6. lastly for my next 2 weeks of stay in intercontinental i asked to stay in a refurbished room but want to pay my standard rate.
The different between those 2 rooms are 60 usd per night.
I have been told that they can not guarantee anything till i come there.
So in total i dont know as a hotel management you can do more wrong.
In conclusion for my next stay i am going in a different hotel which is even cheaper than intercontinental Mexico city in polanco and next to it.

Durante el Check Inn amablemente me ofrecieron un vale para tomarme una copa de cortesía en el bar. Cuando decidí acudir a tomarme la copa, mostrando el vale que me dieron, el mesero me advirtió que solo tenia "derecho" a tomarme una cerveza o una bebida de las mas corrientes que tenían en su bar, lo cual no me resultó agradable, pero en fin me tome una copa de Bacardi Blanco. Luego amablemente el mismo mesero me ofreció la segunda copa, pues era una promoción 2 por 1, pero ¡oh! sorpresa, al llegar a mi habitación me habló el mismo mesero para cobrarme la segunda copa, pues solo tenia derecho a una, hecho que provoco mi molestia, e ira y confirmó nuevamente la poca vocación de servicio y voracidad en el cobro de los servicios de este hotel. Lastima de las agradables instalciones.

Our team frequents Intercontinental hotels. We like the service, the pricing and the staff's sincere desire to be helpful. I frankly, would not stay elsewhere in MX City.

Great hotel. Really good elevators, you may think this sounds strange until you stay in some hotels with really bad elevators.
