Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by gswhw5 Always a good choice in Polanco
Location great for walking to restaurants and the Busques/Castle. Decently convenient when driving in the early AM pre-730 AM.
Addition of lobby bar vs. cart is a nice new touch.
Room view over the National Auditorium is awesome. Rooms, albeit older, still maintain sufficient modern look/feel.

Very good the attention received from Juan Carlos at Frutas y Flores, the others still need to improve their attitude and service.

On the chek in the receptionist couldn't give us a room until 5pm. Next morning at 11am our keys were deactivated and our registration was deleted. The receptionist had to give us new keys. Bad experience.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Carlinhos Intercontinental Campos Eliseos Mexico City?
In the past few years I have stayed several times in this hotel when traveling to Mexico on my business trips. The location in Polanco is safe and is perfect. The hotel has increased it's prices, and the comfort of the rooms is below Intercontinental standards. The rooms are outdated and the bathrooms need some repairs. Although I would recommend the Intercontinental hotels in Santa Fe, Puebla and Guadalajara, I would not recommend the Campos Eliseos Intercontinental hotel based upon my latest stay in April 2013.

This was the second time staying at this hotel, and really enjoyed it. There is only one major setback ... cannot believe that in this day and age guests must pay for internet/wifi connection ... amazing!

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Elopep Very slow checkout - room super small
The checkout was a trainee and took more than 15 minutes to complete checkout process when in a hurry.
I understand you have to train your staff, but ask customer if in a hurry or could support your training processes by waiting.
The room was incredibly small, I have stayed in all the hotels in the block and this one was surprisingly small, even Holiday Inn Express at Reforma 222 has bigger rooms.

We enjoyed our stay at the Presidente and were glad to see that the level of service and attention to details has been maintained through the years. I've either visited or stayed at the hotel during the last 30 years. The lobby area and lobby bar are some of the most attractive I've seen and enjoy the atmosphere. The hotel restaurants are great and so are the ones around the area. I enjoy shopping in the hotel and always stop at Tane either to pick up an extra piece or have my jewelry cleaned which they do for free because of their lifetime warranty.
The only suggestion I have is to make coffee available for free in the rooms. There was a coffee pot in the room and after reading the notice assumed that one cup was free per day, however that was not the case. Little things matter and this is one.
Other than that, I will consider the hotel for my next stay and recommend it to friends and family.
Keep up the good work.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GaryL The Right Location at Good Prices
The most affordable consistently high standard property in Polanco. Decent rooms although not outstanding, however the service is very good and restaurant selection is great. I highly recommend the Balmoral Cafe for breakfast or afternoon coffee.
I have spent over 175 nights in this hotel over the past 2 years and have had little to complain about and when there was an issue the staff acted quickly to correct any problem.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Great first impression
The hotel has the best view of Mexico City, the rooms are nice and confortable, staff is friendly, kind and helpful, restaurantes are great, and breakfast at Frutas is Flores is remarkable.
The location is one of the best things, pretty much you don't need a car, shopping center, museums, restaurants, bars, everything is walking distance.
I am for sure coming back to the hotel.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by paulc007 Dreadful lounge (food), service and style
When I arrived (late evening) the music was so loud in the hotel lobby that I could hardly hear the front desk staff (when they finally arrived). The hotel is a great example of 1980's style and furniture, if that appeals (which it doesn't to me)! The executive lounge is neither comfortable nor offers edible food - and to make matters worse, the staff have no interest to offer service! The hotel is perfectly located in Polanco, and ultimately this is its only saving grace!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by RCT16 Good hotel for business trips, but very poor internet service
I´ve been several times there. Service is very good, rooms are good, restaurants are great, but the internet service only works when there are few passengers connected. At peak hours (meaning, when you want to connect), service is really bad. In my case, I need internet both for work and to video skype my family. I found unacceptable not to have good connection.
Hotel really needs to upgrade internet if they want to maintain the business travelers.
I was in room 4123 and it was impressive how clearly I could hear the sounds from the next room. Didn´t happen to me in other rooms of the same hotel though.

Great Hotel, great stay, great place, and outstanding restaurant.
The only bad: some minibar products were beyond expiration date...
Also, as first reservation was cancelled, and then I made another, I now have two Priority Club Member numbers... and I have to take the time to call and ask for an account merge, I would have prefer Intercontinental doing it automatically

In a rush to catch my flight back to the US, I left my camera and iPad in the lock-box in the room. I thought for sure it was going to be a hassle to even attempt getting these back. I called the hotel and talked to a manager from the airport. He retrieved the items from the room and held them at the front desk for me until a local colleague picked them up. The manager even verified that it was the correct person who was picking them up. I was very excited to see that I did not lose my electronics forever thanks to The Presidente's Intercontinental staff.

Travelling for business- a long stay of over 10 days including a weekend. The room service is good; but watch out for the busy times. Staff is always smiling. What is freaky is that the maid walks right into your room without knocking- I think thats culture maybe, be sure to lock the door at all times. The location is fantastic but it is a little dated and overused hotel. The gym is good; they try to keep it clean. The new spa is great! I didn't find it as pricey as it should have been probably given the spa location and being a part of the hotel. Fewer good options to eat within the hotel although the breakfast is a must-indulgence.

I stay aprox. 10 weeks per year at this hotel and I have always been extremely satisfied with the rooms, restaurants, service, location, and safety of the hotel. I look forward to every stay at the hotel.
The ONLY improvement I recommend is the coffee. I've been staying at this hotel for 8 years and the coffee has always been the only item to be improved.

I stay at this Intercon every time I'm in Mexico City, this time, the great service and accomodations were only eclipsed by President Nieto making a speech and getting to see him after stopping in the lobby after working in my room most of the day.
I look forward to my next visit.

I am a loyal guest of the Intercontinental Branch, not only in Mexico, but also in the US, Canada, Europe, and Latin America.
Pretty much everywhere, I've felt that the hotel employees have gone beyond my expectations to resolve any issue. In Montreal once they confirmed a reservation during a week in which it was practically impossible to find any hotel room due to a convention in the city.
I have not felt the same service with the Intercontinental in Mexico city. As a matter of fact, this week I am back in Mexico, and I stayed at your competitor hotel next door.
