Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nickel and Dime You For Everything The property itself is nice. The lobby has been modernized and is sleek and new-appearing. The rooms could use a little bit of updating. The shower leaked from the one above--completely disgusting. The one glaring problem with Intercontinental Hotels nowadays is the problem with adding additional fees for every little thing. Want to go to the gym? That will be $15 per use. Same with internet access. And if you want to check in a little bit early? That'll be $100! I probably paid close to double my original room rate with all the additional random fees! Outrageous. 24 November 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by inter miami best hotel in town and always enjoy being there. however, to get into the room the business traveller needs to run the gauntlet. first the guy who removes the luggage from the taxi wants a tip. the guys removing the bags from the taxi insist that they will not deliver the bags and almost insist on a tip then you have the bellman quite unpleasant. i would like to leave $5 for the service and not encounter the constant request for tips when one has just travelled for a dozen hours. 23 November 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by lost pair of shoes To the staff at the hotel- I had a great stay at the Intercontinental Miami. However, I left a pair of shoes in the hotel and when I called that afternoon the man on the phone informed me that the shoes were gone. How this can be I have no idea! I literally called minutes after I left. My only assumption at this point is that someone took them. This is completely unacceptable. I am 100% sure that the shoes were in the room. What is the recourse for someone like me who leaves something in the room? I have had this experience once before and the hotel shipped me a shirt the following day. This made me very happy. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Impressed I was very pleased with my stay this week. Great hotel, staff, location, gym/spa, and Starbucks. Walked to the Heat arena and went to the Dallas game. Eduardo the concierge hooked me up with his iPhone charger for the length of my stay. All around pleasurable experience. 19 November 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by shower pull up broken so no shower, moved to another room far worse. Staff was helpful but rooms were awful. For the price all should be great with nothing broken. If moved to another room it should be better. 18 November 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Billing I waited in line for over 10 minutes to check out last Thursday!!! There were 2 attendants for 2 guests and no one offered to help check billunder the door either I asked for email receipt and filled out a form to get my electronic bill...none came I called today to get a copy of my bill and had to leave a message!!!!! Not sure this hotel understands business travelers value of time. VERY POOR SERVICE 18 November 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Treated Like Royalty This hotel was immaculate!!!!! From the time we arrived in a taxi and someone was there to take our bags for us, all the way up to when we checked out and somebody was there to carry our bags out for us!!!!! Our room was always very clean and the staff always there immediately whenever we needed anything!!! We stayed here with a group for a cruise and received special group rates because if it, but I would definitely be happy to pay the full rate for this hotel again because it was more than with it!!!!!!!! 18 November 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed Was not treated as a gold priority club member. As compared to other comparable hotel it did not measure up to the expected standard. The rooms I stayed in were supposed to be an upgrade. It was a disappointment as to my expectations for the price paid. Was not even offered a bottle of water at check in. 15 November 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Stunning Hotel; Top-Notch Staff We love returning to the IC Hotel in Miami. The hotel is fabulous...beautiful lobby and terrific Toro Toro Restaurant. The location is perfect by the bay and within walking distance of restaurants and shopping. Upon arriving at the hotel, we are greeted by Mario. He is always very friendly and extremely helpful. The concierge service is the best we have experienced in all our travels. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are nicely updated and very clean. The beds and pillows are very comfortable...extremely important! The TV includes more channels than some hotels. The views of the bay and city are spectacular. We are rewards members so we truly enjoy the Club Level. Florangel is always extremely helpful, very professional, and always happy to welcome us back. Ingrid, Aristides, and the entire staff are always doing everything possible to make our stay enjoyable! We frequently return to Miami IC just to relax because we are treated like we are visiting family! The pool is very relaxing and quiet. The views of the bay are awesome. Carlos is exceptional as he works to ensure everyone is comfortable and all our needs are met! He is the best! Don't miss out on this terrific hotel. 12 November 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by What a view! Outstanding value with a view to match. Overlooking the bay with the city lights and ships made our stay even better. The room was elegant. Did have a problem with the iron, tried to press a pair of silk pants and the iron leaked and left water stains. Otherwise would recommend this hotel to every one. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Experience The Intercontinental Hotel at Chopin Plaza is excellence in every way, From the moment you step out of your vehicle you are treated with class. The dedicated Valets, Doormen, and Porters brighten up your day upon arrival. The courteous service extends to the Checkin desk and all thoughout the Hotel Property. Whenever my travels either business or personal take me to Miami, the Intercontinental Hotel with its convenient location to the Waterfront, Bayfront Park, and the American Airlines Arena is a must stay for me. The biggest investment I have made was becomming an Ambassador member years ago. I am now a Royal Ambassador and the Program has been nothing shcrt of spectacular. 11 November 2013

However could not believe they charged me $20 to get two small packages delivered to the hotel. Counter staff messed up my reservation, took too much time to check in and out. Would not give me a late check out even though I was an IMG rewards member and ther for a conference 10 November 2013

The garage parking is expensive though. There is a short term small parking lot (metered) next to it for a max of 5 hours. Will definitely stay here again. 10 November 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Room Service The stay at this hotel was a good one. The view over the bay was lovely and the beds were clean and extremely comfortable. We decided to *splurge* and order room service. Well, splurge is exactly what we had to do. There is a full service charge and gratuity attached to the bill, which we didn't realize so we also gave a really good tip. In addition, for 2 sandwiches, 2 fries, a soda and bottle of water, the bill was over $50. Admittedly, I am not rich but I'm not cheap either. I thought for the quality of the food, that was simply an outrageous price. If you have the money to spend, the hotel itself is beautiful and you will sleep like a baby in the soft, comfy beds, but do NOT order the room service unless you are looking for average food at above average prices. 10 November 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible check-in experience I was very disappointed with the check-in process as my room was not ready until nearly 7 pm. I have two very small children (1 and 2 years old) that needed to be put to sleep and I found myself arguing for a room. I understand that it was a very hectic weekend for you guys but it was absurd. I attempted to contact and speak to someone on Friday and no-one ever responded to my calls and inquiries. This was horrible and I will never stay at your hotel again. I am Diamond status at multiple hotel brands and this was my test run for the IHG rewards program, highly disappointed. I live not too far and would rather drive in the morning for the race. 04 November 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good location however expensive services I have stayed at IC Miami as they hosted the Ironman 70.3 Miami 2013 race. The location was the main reason for me to have chosen this hotel. You can feel the IC quality in every detail and I am satisfied in general. Two things to consider improving: - Very expensive valet parking service (almost 40$ per day) - Paid Internet (almost 18$ per day) 31 October 2013

I had a great meal at TorToro, the only downside to the restaurant is that the lobby music was very loud, so conversation at dinner was difficult. Breakfast was also very good. I would strongly consider staying at this hotel again when in Miami 31 October 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good experience I enjoyed my stayed, beautiful hotel, comfortable bed, convenient to my race (Ironman 70.3), good service from many employees, but others in the customer service counter needed to add a smile to their face with a welcoming attitude. Thought it was overpriced with all the fees you have to pay. Tv service did not work the first 2 days, and for those prices free internet should be a must not another daily fee.
