I enjoyed my stay at this hotel I will say the staff was great at opening conversations & making me feel welcome. Only issue was the in room bottle water was not price so when I drank it I assumed it was complimentary. I used to live in Milwaukee & I think it's one of the great cities to come visit. I will definitely stay here again & will definitely recommend this all friends when visiting.

My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel and we were very impressed. The staff is so kind and helpful. The location of the hotel is perfect, right in the middle of everything. This was our first time visiting Milwaukee and we had no idea where we should stay. I'm so glad we chose to stay at the Intercontinental. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit Milwaukee.

Enjoyed the stay. Fun to have it be a big game and have the competing basketball team staying at the same hotel.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by UnsatisfiedGuest Not good enough for the money
My card was charged for the full stay + $50/night for incidentals upon checking in. Worse yet, the receptionist messed up and charged my card 3 times!!! So what should have been a hold for under a thousand dollars ended up being almost 3 grand!, which created issues with my credit card and took 4 days to clear up. They removed the charges of course and apologized but it still left me with an unresolved matter for the rest of the week.
The room was okay, poor lighting, no water pressure in the shower, NOT worth the cost.

Great location but the room quality wasn't what I was expecting based on my stay in Intercontinental Hotels in Houston, Boston, Chicago, and Washington D.C.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Deewop Fabulous bed and pillows
We had a gift certificate to the Intercontinental. Overall, we had a wonderful time. The king size bed was most comfortable. The exercise room was terrific and the restaurant Kilowat had delicious food. However, our room could have used some updating. The chair was broken, desk light was burned out and the bathtub finish was worn off in places.

Our room location was not exactly what I had asked for.
Brian made sure that we were happy and extended customer service to us which totally changed our impression and experience.

Although I live in the Milwaukee area, I reserved a room to make the event into a weekend. I absent mindedly reserved the room for the wrong night, which I didn't realize until check in. There was no problem switching the reservation and the staff member who helped me made me feel better saying "it's probably a system issue". That kind of service is often the exception to the rule. Thank you for a great experience.

From hello to goodbye the Intercontinental staff and facility met or exceeded many of our expectations.
We will definitely visit again and would refer our friends and colleagues to the Intercontinental MKE.

Fantastic location. Easy walking distance (even in Winter) to downtown attractions, no need for a taxi!
Room was modern and clean.
Would like to see a few more outlets for charging in room.
Also tihink that a dedicated Coffee shop (Starbucks) would be nice.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by sorry great service; bed needs replacing
Your hotel is one at the top of our list since it opened. We stay frequently because we have season tickets to Rep and drive some distance. We have always had a delightful and delicious evening at the hotel. Unfortunately, our last visit the bed was extremely soft and we not only kept rolling into one another but my husband who is somewhat disabled had a terrible time and ultimately injured his back attempting to leave the bed because the mattress was so unstable. (We were in a disabled room.)
We do know that if you had known, you would have replaced the bed. Our room was fantastic. I think it was 1004. The view and ambiance excellent. The food was as good as ever and Ryan at the main desk is personable, smart and "a great find" for the hotel.. We also enjoyed Joe who waited on us in the dining room.

I have stayed at the Intercontinental in Milwaukee, WI many nights over the past three months. From the first day I arrived, the warm, friendly smiles of valets, bell staff and front desk staff made me feel welcome. To a person, the staff offered assistance and information any time I encountered them. The rooms were clean and very confortable.
I enjoyed reading the newspaper provided each morning, as I ate breakfast in the Kilowat restaurant with windows overlooking a convention center that has colored lights that look beautiful in the late evening and early morning. The food is deliciously prepared and beautifully presented by a wait staff that is warm and friendly, but not intrusive. I especially enjoyed the Caesar salad and spare ribs.
The morning coffee bar staffed by a congenial gentleman who also will take an order from the breakfast menu, makes everyone feel welcome and keeps the coffee cups full!
The lobby was festively decorated for the hollidays, adding to the warmth of the experience.
I look forward to many more comfortable nights at the Intercontinental Milwaukee.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by AmandaK Walls are paper-thin
I was very impressed by the location and appearance of the hotel but the walls were incredibly thin. We were woken up a couple of times throughout the night when people would be returning to their rooms and again in the morning when our neighbors were up early and talking loudly.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Campari2012 Nice Bar, Great Food
This was our second stay at the Intercontinental in Milwaukee.
The "deluxe" double room is quite small and no table for room service either.
The bathroom had dust threads hanging from the wall.
The nice part of this hotel is definitely the bar area, beautiful fresh flowers and a nice variety of food (for a bar).
The restaurant was closed on Sunday.
We slept very well and no noise in the hallway.

This was the best service I have ever had. I emailed the coincerge in advance who gave me recommendations of what to see and do. The wait staff in the restaurant gave great recommendations for what food to order. My room was fantastic. I can't say enough great things about this property.

This hotel is one of the best hotels I have stayed in and I travel frequently. It has great ambassador benefits including 2 drink coupons (recommend the tree tini) and a breakfast voucher (recommend california eggs benedict). The staff are excellent. They are extremely friendly and bend over backwards to help in any way they can. I am a huge fan of this hotel and frequent it as much as possible. The business center, fitness center and art gallery are additional "pluses". The hotel is attached to the rep theater and you can pick up some great entertainment last minute which beats watching a movie in the room although the rooms are nice. Favorite rooms are corner and superior.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Chris70 Great birthday stay!!
My wife and I stayed at InterContinental Milwaukee the weekend of Dec. 22. I am a IHG Royal Ambassador, so I stay at many InterContinental properties. This property is in a great location, right next to the performing art centers and sports complexes. The riverwalk makes it easy to get to many shops and restaurants. The hotel 'vibe' is very upscale - a great place for a weekend getaway without the kids. Our room had a great view of downtown and the outdoor skating rink. The hotel was doing a 'chocolate bar' the night we stayed -- lots of items dipped in chocolate for reasonable prices. Yum! We ate Sunday brunch at the hotel restaurant and it was delicious. This is our first choice for where to stay anytime we visit downtown Milwaukee. A special thank you to Catharina - the concierge - for recommending our birthday dinner be at Calderone Club, just 1-2 blocks from the hotel. The meal and the service was excellent. Next time we visit we are doing the carriage ride through downtown -- it was too cold the night we stayed. We will be back again soon!

The stay began with a change of rate from the one I booked. I had booked the room at a rate almost thirty dollars less than what was charged at check in. The noise from a huge party in the room next to us woke us up at 2:00 a.m. We called the front desk and they said they would send security. Never happened and the noise kept going. I complained to the Hotel and was told they would call me within forty eight hours. Still waiting for that call. I did get a refund for one room. When I checked my credit card I found that I had been overbilled and charged for other charges so even with the refund I ended up paying more than what I had booked the room for and had a horrible night. I would skip this hotel.

i have requested to settle my final bill by cash. and they still ended up charging my credit card instead for some items. even the amount is small, i still have to pay for the foreign exchange charges for my VISA card. moreover, i requested the front desk to email the receipt to me and they didn't. i have to call long - distance to ask for it again. i am priority club member, they should have my email on file.

My wife and I really enjoyed the comfort of the room and the hospitality of the staff. We really enjoyed our stay. The only draw-back was the poor drainage of the sink, toilet and bath. When I mentioned it to the staff, it seemed like they were aware of this problem. Overall I would recommend this hotel and I would stay there again.

My husband and I stayed here last weekend. It was a birthday getaway for my husband. The room very welcoming. I loved the sitting room area in our room. When we checked out in the morning the desk clerk asked what we were in town for and I said it was my husbands birthday today. She then asked if we had eaten and went to the back to retrieve a breakfast coupon for the on site restaurant. It had a 40 dollar value, including tip. The breakfast was awesome. Appreciated it!
The hotel is very conveniently located if you are looking to do anything downtown Milwaukee.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Excellent service and slept like a baby!
We stayed here because they gave discount for Pabst Theater, we saw The XX in concert. The discount was a great incentive because the normal price was a little steep but from looking around at other hotels the convenience of not having to drive, find parking, then pay for parking and drive back etc was wonderful! We didn't even need to go outside Great stay, fantastic staff, they were very helpful with valet and room service and we were even able to push our check out time back one hour and the front desk was extremely nice about it. I'd stay here again for sure! The bed was wonderful and i loved the pillows. The hallways didn't remind me of a hotel but an apartment building. Thank you. Other hotels within the downtown area were about the same price but this stood out for me with the discount for the show and the closeness to everything. Thanks Intercontinental Milwaukee for a great experience!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by KellyX22 Clean & convenient but no extras. Beware of loud climate vent!
The hotel is conveniently located downtown and was very clean and the in-and-out parking was convenient. The modern lobby is a bit misleading though since the rooms are more dated but the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. For the caliber of the hotel, I was very disappointed there was no mini-fridge. Beware if you stay in room 1010, when we turned on the AC/Heat, the vent's metal slats rattled as if there was a severe hailstorm going on outside.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Dexter4911 Great! But...
We stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel in Milwaukee because I was standing up in a wedding that was in one of the rooms of the hotel. I have to say the wedding was AWESOME, the wedding planner was super accommodating, the wait-staff was lovely, everything was spectacular.
Except upon arrival to get ready for the big hour, they didn't have our room ready, both my boyfriend and I needed to get ready and had no place to go. I went up and got ready in a wedding party room while my boyfriend stuck around to get it worked out and inevitably was pushed to get ready in the athletic area. Our check in was scheduled for the standard time and even after arriving at 4:30 to get into our room, it still wasn't ready. So they gave my boyfriend two drink tickets to Clear, the bar in the lobby and called it even (I guess...) Still just note to others out there, this happened to others in the bridal party and I felt that maybe we weren't as Bridezilla as we should have been. So if you are staying at this hotel without an agenda, perfect, you will LOVE it, but if you have an agenga, maybe put a large emphasis on your room being ready? Just saying. Goodluck next time Intercontinental.

I was looking forward to my follow-up stay but was very disappointed to find hairs in the bathroom sink and hairs (much much longer than mine) IN the sheets of my bed. I mentioned it to the front desk staff at the time of check-out, but she didn't seem to be overly concerned about it. Have to say that based on that, I'm not sure I'll stay there next time I'm in town.
