Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location and Excellent Service One of the main assets of this hotel is almost perfect location for exploring Moscow. Located on one of the central streets, just of the main pedestrian area, short stroll away from Red Square and Kremlin and next to three metro lines, there just aren't many better options to stay when visiting Moscow as a tourist. Another advantage is that this is a relatively new hotel and quite modern, as currently other comparable hotels downtown are in much worse shape. Rooms are quite large, modernly equipped and very comfortable. My only issue would be with curtains that are relatively translucent and do not provide significant darkness for sleeping. I've been staying at this hotel over the past few years, and always enjoyed it. However, this time, I've also noticed a significant improvement in the quality of service and friendliness of the staff. I was really impressed and felt very welcomed by everyone from the hotel. 30 July 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Fine ! second time stayed this Hotel most of the things are fine . only not nice issue is that i ordered a taxi via reception after i check out , a private car came and i dont have nice experience with him ... and I;m not sure if Im upgraded even i'm a platinum member, actually it seems a smaller room can not be in this hotel :) 28 July 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pleasent Stay I had a good stay at this hotel, room was clean and staff were helpful. Check in was trouble free even at the late hour I arrived, late check out was helpful as connecting flight was later in the day so did not have to hurry and wait outside hotel. The hotel could improve the value of some of the additional services within the hotel as I do not feel they offer value compared to altrnatives in the area. That said quality staff and quite peaceful stay makes this a great place to stay. 25 July 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellend service and very nice room We had a short 1 night stay at Intercontinental Tverskaya and wished we could've stay longer. Why? Very good location, comfortable, stylish room with plenty of lighting, and impeccable service. Big, cheerful smiles greeted us at check in and made us feel welcomed, unlike the other high end hotel we had just stayed at in St. Petersburg, where the staff were mostly unfriendly. I called housekeeping for more towels and the person who answered was friendly, cheerful and more than willing to assist. The towels were brought up within minutes. The staff at checkout were again friendly, and when I informed her that our room's amenities only catered for one guest instead of two (i.e. only one pair of slippers, one bathrobe), she was truly apologetic and offered to give us additional IHG reward points. Though we declined as it was not a big deal, we appreciated the kind gesture. This shows proactivity on the part of the staff, empowerment on the part of the hotel, and exemplary service recovery. I was truly impressed and would highly recommend Intercontinental Tverskaya to all visitors to Moscow. 23 July 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Moscow 19th to 26 th June We had a great stay at the Moscow - Tverskaya Intercontinental Hotel. we had a great room it was really quiet the bed was comfy and the bathroom excellent all good size and well laid out. There was a mini bar with a few soft drinks and a couple of beers which was really handy and stocked each day for free. We upgraded to use the executive lounge which provided excellent food and drink and the staff were excellent in. The only negatives were it was a little confusing what the rules of the club lounge were and this could be made clearer at check in by just giving out a list of what's included and what has to be paid for at check which some other hotels do, but this was a very minor issue. We had the odd language issue but almost all the staff we're really helpful and their English was excellent. The staff in the club lounge were excellent and couldn't help enough with directions recommendations of things to do and see as well as serving us drinks and food. I would definitely stay here again. 29 June 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Awful food/room Service - Incompetent Staff Various bad experiences when ordering food in lounge/bar area. Sent back three dishes during day as full of oil. During night when ordering room service in bar insufficient staff to serve in a timely manner. When food did come one dish was totally different from what was ordered - waitress subsequently told me food had changed but menu not updated and made me feel like ~I was in the wrong for questioning her...! Also was woken by chambermaid when "do not disturb' sign was on door. 23 June 2014

We had a fantastic time in Moscow and a perfect stay (you cannot improve on perfection!) at your hotel! I would like to say a special thanks to Guest Relations team and special to Ms. Nadezhda for her wonderful hospitality and foremost for being truly amazing and a very inspiring, to Concierge and specially Alexander for for all his help and real in-the-know experience, also arranging an airport transportation and in record time! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Memorable Moscow Trip due to fantastic servie We came to Russia purely to travel for pleasure and stayed in Moscow for 5 days at the Intercontinental. The hotel was wonderful, with a very centralized location that allowed us to walk with ease to all attractions and provided everything we needed. The staff were exceptional and went above and beyond to ensure our Moscow experience was memorable. Beginning with the reservations department who made all our arrangements before we arrived, the concierge staff who guided our daily outings, booked trains, tour guides and ballet tickets and the "Club" staff who made us feel a part of their family and catered to our every need. Even when they were all busy, no request or inquiry was too much trouble. Thank you for everything, when we return to Moscow we will return to the Intercontinental. 21 June 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good location. Modern hotel I had only one night here due to a long layover between flights. The hotel staff is very courteous and helpful. The room is fresh and modern, spacious and has everything in it what's expected. Cookies were awesome! One thing was weird was that we did not see a single patron there. The hotel seemed empty. Not a problem, just strange Our room faced the street, but the noise level was very low It is a walking distance from the metro 11 June 2014

Excellent location, professional and friendly services, good breakfast, all in all a very pleasant experience. The only suggestion I have is to expand the desserts menu. 06 June 2014

The breakfast was great, but the choices are always the same every morning and I do hope there are at least some differences in hot food on the alternate mornings, instead of always bacon, sausages, egg, mushrooms, tomatoes, potatoes. And the mushrooms were a bit salty, too. 02 June 2014

The improved: better restaurant food although still needs improvement and the wait staff try too hard (they take things off your table prematurely and hover excessively - but at least they are trying!). The bad: got incorrect directions to a shopping centre. Also, the seats in the bar area in reception are not comfortable for eating or drinking - who designs these things? 29 April 2014

The web portal for the internet at the Tverskaya, Moscow InterContinental is so very confusing. I stay at this hotel once or twice a month and have never (I repeat never) been able to turn on high speed internet without calling for assistance. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The perfect Easter break I booked this hotel using Reward Nights for a short Easter break. Initial thoughts upon arrival were very positive. The lobby is beautifully decorated. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. My Platinum Elite and Ambassador status was recognised upon arrival. We got upgraded to a superior room. The room was very tastefully decorated. The WiFi was fast. The bathroom was very nice with a TV in it! There was a separate shower to the bath.The toiletries in the bathroom were very high quality. The towels were soft and fluffy. A bathrobe and slippers were provided. I paid for Club Lounge access and this is definitely worth it. It's quieter than the other dining areas of the hotel. The Club Lounge staff were very friendly. The entire atmosphere in the Club Lounge is very relaxed. We used the Club Lounge for breakfast in the morning, tea in the afternoon and a light evening meal. The location of the hotel is excellent with Red Square just a 15 minute walk away and there is a Metro station close by. There are plenty of nice shops on the same street as the hotel. There was very little noise intruding into our room so we enjoyed peace and quiet throughout our stay. The room's aircon worked very well. The television had many channels in different languages. The room's lighting was very good and could be set to suit your mood. The room's furnishings were very elegant and comfortable. Sleep quality was good on the king-sized bed and fluffy pillows. Everything about this hotel is understated luxury. But what makes this hotel worth staying in is the wonderful, friendly reception staff. The attitude of staff can make or break a hotel experience and this hotel should be proud of its staff. Just one thing to be wary of, and this not the hotel's fault. We booked a taxi to take us from the hotel to DME airport and were quoted approximately 1,600 Roubles. The Concierge booked us a city taxi which arrived perfectly on time. However, on the journey to the airport I noticed I couldn't see a meter in the taxi - it had been covered up with a piece of card. Upon arrival at DME airport the taxi driver demanded 3,000 Roubles! I know this is not the fault of the hotel directly, but we did book the taxi through the hotel. Be aware of Moscow taxis and always ensure that the meter is working and reset at the start of the journey. This minor blip didn't detract from my overall stay. Finally, a big thank you to all at Intercontinental Tverskaya for making my Easter break such an amazing and memorable experience. I'll be back! 25 April 2014

There was very strange situation in restaurant when food run out and there were no employees to help during the lunch time. The counters were EMPTY. For me it is suprising that hotel like this it happened. I did not feel much appreciated. 30 March 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by My choice in Moscow with no doubt The Hotel has an extraordinary location. In one of the main arteries of the city and walking distance from red square Very close to very interesting restaurants such as "Pushkin Cafe" a must go place Rooms, comfortable, quite, clean. Very nice bathroom with Japanese style (robotic) toilette. Club is wort it. You should pay for the extra amount (Especially if you are travelling -like me - for business purposes. Breakfast they serve at the club is perfect (they even have a menu) and is not crowded at all. People at te club always trying to be nice. dinner they serve from 7 to 9 pm is also nice At the gym they probably needed more than three running machines however I must say that the two days I went there to run they were free and the gym was empty WIFI connection has a nice speed and was working for me great the three nights I spent at this hotel For the taxi, not worth it to take the hotel ones. Ask the concierge to call a taxi and they will help you immediately with one that cost 30% less and you can pay with a credit card (if you ask for such thing) In the morning (early in the morning I must say) like at 5.15 am the taxi will bring you to the airport in 20 minutes, however...watch out!, if you are coming during rush hours It will take almost two hours Hopefully this will help you to decide if this is your hotel in Moscow 09 March 2014
