Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Outdated rundown rooms and very expensive - poor value for money Great Club Facilities but Club Rooms were very sub-standard for the high price and standard room I viewed looked truly awful. Time for a major refurbishment of hotel rooms please !! Its not the 1970s anymore. Sadly it is no longer the premiere hotel in Muscat despite the great location. Staff and service are excellent. Grounds and dining are great and good gym and pool. 22 January 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 buisness Stay Very plush hotel with very nice attentive staff, nothing too much effort for them. Rooms good size with lovely grounds/sea shore view. Bathroom dated was only adverse comment I have. Food here is diverse and plentiful, catering for all nationalities. One night fruit and bottle of wine appeared in bedroom, nice personal touch. 19 January 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Slightly old hotel, but great pool, good breakfast, and comfy bed Had a great, albeit short, stay at this hotel. The location is good with some cafes and restaurants nearby. The restaurant at the hotel - Trader Vic's - was excellent. The hotel breakfast was great with a wide variety (but if you want custom made eggs, including an omlette, prepare to wait as they only have one person making them.). Bed was very comfortable, although the rooms (and hotel overall) is a little on the older side and could use a little sprucing up. The pools and hotel gardens are beautiful and we had a great time lounging all day in the sun and walking on the beach. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if/when I return to Muscat. 14 January 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Quick Business Trip Comfortable room though furniture has been obviously well used. Bathroom clean and tidy but very dated/old. WIFI reliable and decent speed (not super fast), good for checking emails etc. Restaurant and bar good for relaxing and catching up with football. 14 January 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Support was there when we needed it most On the last day of a very pleasant stay at this hotel, my wife and i became ill. We were attended to promptly and courteously by the hotel doctor. When our condition became worse, the hotel allowed us to extend our check out time. The doctor attended us again and decided that we needed treatment at a local hospital. He arranged transport and accompanied us to the hospital, facilitated our passage through admission, kept an eye on us whilst we were being treated and travelled with us back to the hotel. After ensuring that we understood our medication regimen he assisted us through the check out process. Had it not been for his care and support, our last day at the hotel would have been a difficult and miserable experience. 13 January 2015
