Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great location The location is very good, a stone's throw away from Time Square and not so far from Fifth avenue and Central Park. But the wireless connection is very bad in my room. Had to get out of the room to stay connect with hotel wireless. Checked with the hotel staff and seems like they are not very aware of the solution 09 July 2014

The whole stay was good, but it was disappointing to not receive the room upgrade at check in which, according to the Ambassador's terms , should be "guaranteed." I was told the hotel was sold out for double beds rooms. However, since the room had been booked way in advance, maybe the hotel management could do a better job planning room assignments. To apologize, the Ambassador Guest Relations Staff offered to credit extra points into my account on the same day of check out. However, as of today, no point have been posted in it. Hopefully I'll get them at least as a good willing to a Platinum Ambassador costumer. 09 July 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Phenomenal Hotel - I Even Took a Picture of the Bathroom The Intercontinental was a beautiful hotel with great customer service. The room had a view of Times Square and the beds were very comfortable. When I visit New York, I love seeing broadway shows and this was a perfect location for me. I will stay at te Intercontinental again - choosing it above other hotels in Times Square - because of the bathroom. The bathroom had unique blue tiles and it was do unique and pretty, I brought my camera in the bathroom to capture the beauty. That's a first! 08 July 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed I am an IHG reward member recently staying at Intercontinental's from Australia to Europe back to New York and the New York location was by far the most unfriendly location. I arrived at the hotel and was not greated or said hello to by a single person - not even the individual who checked me in at the desk let alone acknowledged that I was an IHG member and welcoming me back since I was just there 2 months earlier. I travel to New York for work and have spent weeks to months at this hotel. I was not told "welcome or have a great stay" until I ordered room service at 11PM to which Marcus (and I will not forget his name because of this) was the nicest person. That was 9 hours since I had arrived......9 hours! I suggested that 2 of my other employees who traveled with me to stay at this hotel as well as they are always clean, nice, and comfortable and all stated they would not be so keen to stay there again. This is disappointing as I have always enjoyed my stays no matter which country I am in. 08 July 2014

Stayed at hotel for conference and brought family along--good for both business and leisure stay. Conference facilities adequate, with varied and good breakfast provided; business center staff helped send packages back to office with a smile. Front desk moved us to higher floor after first night, and moved us quickly to another room when the new room smelled of smoke--much appreciated. Near all major theatres, which helped to provide a break each night after conference sessions. Would definitely recommend. 08 July 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great location, but no personal touch Used to be a "platinum" in IHG, and currently being such in many other membership programs, I can be hardly impressed by a hotel. And Intercontinental Times Square could be considered as one of the better hotels, if it would have just a bit of personal touch. Being in New York, where everybody runs instead of walking, and where you occasionally fall into mass production, this hotel has not done much to distinguish itself with a personal approach to its clients - and being in such a great location, steps from Broadway classics, it would gain much if it would. 07 July 2014
