Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Big Apple Business Stayed at Intercontinental Times Square 3 nights April 6-9 on business trip to NY. Had stayed here on previous business trip and was impressed. This time was just as good. Check-in was swift and professional. Room on 19th floor was excellent, good size for NY, corner room, extremely comfortable bed, very nice bath with great rain shower. Surprisingly towels were a bit rough, could have been better. Service from start to finish was excellent: concierge was very helpful with directions and reservation assistance; doormen were professional and swift with transportation assistance; ironing board was broken when I arrived but was replaced immediately once I called housekeeping. Restaurant was very good both in service, ambiance and food quality; prices were as expected for a hotel restaurant in NY. Location is excellent; just off Times Square so nice and quiet but not far away from the action. Subway is literally just outside the entrance. Free internet (as IHG Member) was a nice touch. Will definitely be back. If I do try another hotel on next visit it will be to experience something different, not due to anything negative about the hotel. 16 April 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by bed and pillows The bed was GREAT but the pillows were HORRIBLE. I like a foam pillow that is harder and very supportive not squishy feathers. I didn't ask so it might have been an option. Accessories were terrific and in general, everything else was fabulous. 16 April 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Very good location and sleep quality I stayed 5 night in the hotel and love this hotel, its location, very good sleep quality and room cleanliness as well. Unfortunately, I was wrongly charged for unused mini bar 2 days after checking out, it makes me uncomfortable. I asked the hotel to send me the detail and replied to ask hotel to correct the mistake. I am very sure that I didn't use them. No more response after that. I was in a hurry to go abroad on business so I didn't call hotel again. Beside this, it is a hotel worthing your stay 15 April 2014

The hotel is in a great location for walking to restaurants, plays, Times Square, etc. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about helping with directions. Quick and easy check in and check out. The room was clean and quiet. Concierge service was great. They contacted me by email prior to my visit and were very helpful. 15 April 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by always a good experience the rooms are so roomy, not like other typical NY hotel rooms. You can tell this hotel was put together with care. There are some NY hotels that look they amateurs put the hotel together. This is a world class hotel that I stay at In Hong Kong, Chicago, and NY. I am definitely brand loyal. Only drawback this time, was, there was no complimentary lotion left in the room, either of my nights. I don't bring my own lotion, b/c this hotel normally provides the lotion. Two other call outs for management to address: 1. cbs channel was very blurry. 2. My associate that stayed in this hotel on my recommendation, was not able to get clear hot water, and when she notified the front desk all she got was an apology.Which normally would had been ok, but she had to go to work without brushing her teeth and taking a shower. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very Comfortable Room & Bed, Good Service A great hotel stay. Service at check-in was great. Courteous and quick check in. The corner King room was very well set up. Great bed. The bathroom is very nice also. Housekeeping keeps the room and bathroom very nice. Nice details with the various amenities. Great central location to the Theater district. Definitely recommend this hotel and will come stay again. The only area that could be better is the concierge. I stopped in twice with questions. 1st time staff was OK. 2nd time staff - he came across as " couldn't be bothered", not welcoming. He can take the helping attitude rather than doing the minimum. 13 April 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by comfortable rooms and a pleasant experience located very close to times square, with restaurants and theatres and other attractions in walking distance from the hotel the double rooms are very comfortable ,higher floors have good views specially the corner rooms,service is excellent and staff are very polite and friendly,the ambassador desk is manned by efficient staff who made our stay more comfortable and made us extend our stay ,on our grandsons birthday they sent a cake for him and made his day, we were touched by this gesture, even the concierge services are very professional and helpful, room service is also prompt, would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again,we will return. 12 April 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 4th year in a row staying at this property This is my 4th year in a row staying at this property in Times Square. Its location is superb and I love this hotel in general. It's very clean, nice and trendy. The entire staff is very accommodating and the valet staff is very attentive. My only complaint was the TV in the room. It did not work well because of "Low Signals" indicated on the screen. I had this problem 4 years ago and it could not be corrected after somebody from engineering came in to look at it. I didn't bother calling anybody this time because the other tv worked fine and I enjoyed looking out the window. I will be back again next year in April 2015. 11 April 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent weekend in NYC Got in early and bags were stored by staff. Advised that I would be called on my cell phone when room was ready. Went out and about the city, received a call around 2 p.m. that room was ready. Went up and room was a corner room with a great view of the city. Welcome gift was in room, great service. Turn down was done while out for diner. Would recommend this hotel for anyone who is in the city. Great location in Times Square. Parking across the street and a great deal 03 April 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Gem in Times Square Wonderful hotel with all the charm of a boutique property without any of the "we´re small so don´t expect full service" attitude. Solid recognition of frequent travelers and well laid out for both business and relaxation. Special mention for housekeeping employee (I think I was on 12) who actually offered to tidy up my room on a day when I had a late check out and was rushing back and forth with last minute shopping. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Erroneous charges from minibar on my credit card Positives: Our room was very nice and clean. The bathroom was a very nice large-size and the beds were comfortable. The lobby had a beautiful lounge/bar area. Negatives: when we left the lobby we were carrying our luggage along with our two children and a stroller. Three bellhops stood and watched us trying to maneuver our luggage, stroller and two children out of the door instead of trying to help us or open the door for us. The day after we checked out I found an erroneous charge on our credit card for $101.25. I left two messages for their accounting department before receiving a return phone call. Only to be told that these charges were from the mini bar area (The snacks on the furniture and in the refrigerator). I was told that there are sensors around these items and if you go near or touch them they charge you. The woman I spoke to today could not give me a refund but told me she would have to look into it and follow up with me by the end of the week. This is becoming a big hassle to me. I do not understand why when whoever went to replenish these alleged missing items they did not note that the items were never taken and remove this charge the day I checked out. There should have been someway to doublecheck their poor system. Ie, if the sensor goes off by merely touching or moving it then document if the item needed to be replaced the day we checked out. Thank goodness I realized there was an extra charge from them on my credit card because it could have been easily missed. 02 April 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by exceeded expectations We were there for a weekend trip with Northwestern. We usually don't like staying in Times Square but it was very convenient to the theaters. Hotel was quiet and beautifully appointed. Rooms and bathrooms were small but cleverly designed. Food service was excellent. Only negative was that breakfast was only the buffet. (we went to Starbucks) Would definitely return. 28 March 2014

We were all on the same floor and the rooms were impeccable, if a little smaller than we are used to. The hotel also provided birthday cake and appropriate beverage to celebrate the occasion. Totally recommend Intercontinental Hotel and shall be back. 28 March 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Make sure you add all residents to your reservation Our stay here was a disaster. I had left my wife and daughter enjoying a meal together while I went to the American Museum of Natural History. Later I started receiving text messages from my wife that her key was taken away from her and she was forced to wait in the lobby until I had returned. I rushed back in a taxi to resolve the matter. What had happened was the room key which is being used to go up in the elevator was not being read. Many people had this trouble, including me. My wife had gone to the front desk to ask for help with her key. The clerk took the key and would not give it back. Then she proceeded to tell my wife that she could not give her a key because she could not find her name on the reservation. She instructed my wife that she would have to wait in the lobby. My wife was furious and explained that she had just checked in with me an hour ago with the other clerk. The clerk asked the other clerk if she recognized her, and that clerk that had checked us in said no. That was it. No entry allowed. For 30 minutes she waited in the lobby. I'm sorry, but I find this kind of tightness about security over the top. I made sure to add both my wife and daughter's name to the reservation, although the clerk told me my wife's name was already on it, so I don't know what the problem was. This experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I do not plan to stay at this hotel ever again. Overall the hotel is somewhat dated and had issues with room keys not working in the elevator. The poor customer service made all of us disgruntled, so I would not recommend this hotel. There are plenty of other options. I've stayed at Intercontinental Hotels in other cities which were much better. 26 March 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay overall The location of the hotel was fantastic - right on the corner of 44th and 8th, and right across the street from a self-park garage ($25 for 24 hours for IC hotel guests). The room was comfortable and the dual shower was fantastic. There was no welcome gift for IHG Platinum members, however, I was instead offered a $15 credit for the room minibar, which I gladly accepted. The staff were very friendly and helpful in making my stay a very memorable experience. One small downside - the alarm clock in my room went off at 6am even though I haven't programmed it.. however, the staff at the front desk were apologetic and made sure that the alarm was switched off for the next guest. I've stayed at several hotels in the Times Square area in the past year, and the Intercontinental was by far my favorite experience. I will be back. Thank you for everything. 25 March 2014

Our room (a superior room) overlooked that was a big let down. Everything else was nice. Clean, good service, etc. Nice fitness center, friendly staff...I would stay again and recommend to others. 23 March 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Property/ Location NearTimes Square I recently spent two nights here on a business trip. The staff at this property were very friendly and responsive. The Concierge services were very knowledgeable and were a great help in setting up tickets and dinner reservations. The first night I went to dinner and a jazz concert at Birdland which is across the street from the hotel. The next night I went to the Book of Mormon show which is a short 5 to 10 minute walk up 8th Avenue. The room amenities are new with flat screen tv ; the bed was very comfortable; the shower in the bathroom was spacious and very nice. Servers in the bar very friendly and informative. Also, a very good (but pricey) breakfeast. (But it is NYC after all.) A great hotel! I truly enjoyed my stay and will be back when I get the chance. 23 March 2014

Great location and walking distance to all theatres, Times Sq and lots of restaurants and bar. Staff was very helpful and pleasant.
