Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lovely stay I've stayed numerous times and am always pleased. Location is perfect, and facilities are wonderful. The staff was warm and friend and the rooms are wonderfully comfortable. My only concern is the technology, the TV was experiencing issues and many channels were not available, the WiFi was terribly slow, and the in room PC had a very bright light and noisy fan. The PC in the room seems unnecessary and a waste of electricity as you cannot turn it off, and the light and noise were disruptive at night. Overall I highly recommend the property and look forward to many more stays there. 18 December 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Value, Great Location for New York Although no decent hotel is inexpensive in NYC, the interContinental in Times Square, over the holiday season was an unexpected surprise at a decent rate and an incredible location to theatre and restaurants of quality. The room was lovely, fabulous bed and Todd English's Ca Va restaurant is exceptional. Even had the NY Times Sunday paper to read in bed! What more could a single woman ask for at the height of the season? Only thing the management should change is to offer free Wi-Fi in the rooms and in the hotel. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Paulina is the best! I booked a stay at the Intercontinental in Times Square for my proposal weekend. I initially called to make sure everything was taken care of with the room, but after speaking with Paulina, she took on my proposal weekend as her own personal mission. She advised me on the benefits of becoming an IHG Ambassador, which seemed perfect for my proposal weekend, and made financial sense compared to the cost and hassle of arranging them myself. I needed various amenities for this weekend, like tickets to the Empire State Building, Champagne, Flowers, and Chocolate strawberries in the room after the proposal and recommendations for places to eat and see while in New York City. Paulina helped with everything and did so in a genuinely kind sort of manner that I've never personally found at a Hotel before. My fiancee and I now hold a special place in our hearts for The Intercontinental at Times Square, and will for the rest of our lives. Thanks Paulina for Everything! 16 December 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by very bad The service is very bad. I payed for room sky view. But I was checked in in ordinary room. The staff ofered to pay 80$ extra for every night to have sky view. On the next day when I showed my confirmation of the booking they agree that I payed for sky view. But even didnt apologize 16 December 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice location I love the location of the hotel which is located in 8th Av. & 44th. It's very good to explore Times Square area. But service quality was below than my expectation. For example, someone in the next door put large garbage in corridor, but it was not cleaned up over night. (more than 12 hours…) As the flagship of IHG, I was somewhat disappointed on the service quality. 14 December 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Location, Location and Location Having worked in NYC for 40 years and living just outside of the city, it was a rare occasion that I needed a hotel room. Now living in Colorado I visit NYC once a quarter and I really enjoyed staying in the Time Square area where there is a high energy feeling twenty four hours a day. The hotel is blessed with a staff that is geared to handling any question regarding the city and the best way to travel to any destination. I didn't need a lot of attention but the advice and service I received in regard to gaining tickets to the theater was outstanding. Also, the restaurants in the hotel have a atmosphere that is sensitive to both visiting individuals as well to local business people. I found the Fitness Center to be unique in that you could witness the pace of the city on your stationary bike. That adds a seconded dimension besides the first class TV news coverage that only NYC can delivery daily. The bottom line on my stay was, it was fun and it started the moment I checked in and continued during the 2 day visit. 12 December 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel Location is great, a couple blocks off Times Square. Quiet and nice rooms with cozy beds. Customer service great. Only thing lacking was room wasn't as clean as I would have liked. Some mildew in shower and stuff on ceiling in bathroom. Found money and dirt under beds. So house keeping is not a 4 star. Restaurant fabulous. Asked for a higher floor with view and they accommodated so was very pleased with that! Bob the Reservations Manager also sent up wine and cookies for us, he was terrific! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Spacious rooms and a location that can't be beat I stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel for 11 nights and overall had a fantastic experience. The rooms were a generous size, concierge was excellent, the bell boys were fantastic and the location was unbeatable. I really loved the way they localised the hotel with turndown chocolates from a cool venue in Brooklyn. Housekeeping team members were really helpful and did a fantastic job. I had one bad experience with a staff member which unfortunately for the Hotel was witnessed by other IHG Ambassador guests. While I was embarrassed by how I was treated I was more than satisfied with the empathy I received from the front desk manager when I placed a call to discuss. If you are an IHG Ambassador member and you book through a travel agent you will need to be clear that you want them to book direct with the hotel. While I don't believe this is something that should be for me to manage when I outsource to a travel agency if you'd like the eligible nights and points that accompany such a big (and expensive) stay then ensure EVERYONE reads the fine print. 11 December 2013

It is NY so you will hear some sirens, etc, but I had no problem sleeping with a little white noise. Second time I've stayed here and absolutely love it. 10 December 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A great stay, again! I've stayed at this hotel a few times since they opened a couple of years ago and am always overly pleased with the service and the comfort of the hotel. The beds are super-comfy and the location can't be beat. Right on the blue subway line, easy access to everything to walk or take the subway. I always get an ambassador upgrade to a floor with an incredible view, and everyone on the concierge staff will have great recommendations, no matter what your interests!! Keep up the great work! I'll be back! The only down side is the cost of rooms in Manhattan at Christmas time. 10 December 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Classy hotel near Times Square...some room for improvement. As an IHG Platinum Ambassador, I was expecting more. I guess I had a misguided notion that due to my hotel loyalty status, I would be treated a little bit differently. When I arrived I checked-in at the designated Ambassador desk. The employee could have been a little friendlier. He was actually a little argumentative about which room I actually booked, and which room I would be upgraded to. It all got sorted out, and I was told they'd call me when my room was ready. When I got to my room, there was no in-room gift or fruit as promised to Ambassador members. There seemed to be a general oversight in regards to Elite members. While in the room, I noticed there were dark red/brown stains on the bed-sheets. Not sure if it was blood or something else. I immediately called the front desk and told them. Two managers promptly came up to my room and inspected the bed themselves. They agreed that is was unacceptable. They told me that they would switch my rooms. I was going out for the night so I was told to leave all my stuff in my room, and they would transfer it to my new room once it was gone. When I came back to the hotel that night around midnight, I went to my new room. It was a sky-view room on the second highest floor, with amazing views of 8th avenue and the skyline. The room was immaculate, and they had left a bottle of wine, some fruit, and chocolates in my room. This was a nice touch, I just wish it had been that way since the second I checked into the hotel. Overall the hotel is clean and modern, and the service is very professional. The rooms and views are also amazing, and come at a great value especially being so close to Times Square. But just a note to those of you who are thinking about booking here: you are not actually in Times Square. You are about 3 blocks away, a 5 minute walk or so. If I didn't have any expectations coming into this stay, it would have been excellent. But I did, and the hotel fell a little short. But I can't deny the hotel less than 4 stars. 05 December 2013

Cleanliness of the hotel throughout was very good and housekeeping staff were brilliant. Room was very clean and comfortabe and we had a great view. The quality and freshness of food at breakfast was extremely good. Had a very enjoyable experience staying here for 6 nights and cannot fault it anyway. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Noisy room and uncleaned room We arrived during Thanksgiving 2013 for a business trip. The room was very noisy. Whenever someone closed the door on the floor you could hear the door slamming. This occurred throughout the night. The cleaning staff deserved a failing grade. We found two glasses in the room with lip stick marks and the staff removed an unopened beverage from our room. We had garbage not picked up and left in the corner of the room. We were very disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. We did not inform the concierge because we simply just wanted to leave. I have stayed with Intercontinental in other cities and had a great experience but this time was quite disappointing. 02 December 2013

VERY small cupboard for two persons travelling 10 days! Good Food experience at breakfast and dinner. Waitress excellent, waiters could be more helpfull. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful Staff ! I recently stayed at the Intercontinetal, Times Square in New York with my mum. Our experience was one that we will never forget. The staff were fantastic. Very knowledgable, friendly & incredibly helpful. The doormen were especially attentive & helpful & always happy. The gentleman in the concierge & also the lady on reception were also so helpful. I would definately stay here again. Wonderful views from our room as we were on the 25th floor & our room was lovely with two big double beds. We will never forget our stay there. 01 December 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great food, service, and location. I'd definitely return. I stayed at this hotel over the Thanksgiving Holiday 2013 and was really impressed. The staff is superb. From the front desk to the IT guy that came to help with the computer, they all made us feel welcome and valued. They took very little time coming to the room and always fixed the problem. Everyone was extremely professional and helpful. The ONLY problem we had was the lack of clarity around the free WiFi for Platinums.....this did NOT include usage of the actual computer in the room....ONLY on your personal device. This was not made clear to us and we had to pay $12.95 per day for that mistake. However, the hotel is really close to all the sites, has a Subway station steps away and a world class restaurant Ca Va where we had our Thanksgiving dinner which was exquisite. The concierge also recommended several other restaurants which were excellent as well. Airport shuttles are 2 blocks away and the Subway station near the hotel accesses JFK. Can't ask for much more convenience than that! I would go back in a heartbeat. 30 November 2013

It was going to be looked at after we left, so with that up and running it would have been a perfect stay. Great part of city, close to times square/theatre district, and plenty of cabs at hotel, and subway entrance across the street! Beds were great, and room service breakfast was incredible. Can't find anything negative to say about our experience, and we'll look to stay here again on future trips! 26 November 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect stay in middle of N.Y. Great Hotel in the middle of the Center. Perfect for all the Theater and Musical visits. We enjoyed a nice room with great view (ask for Skyline rooms). The Concierge service was helpful and reception perfect. The bar next to the lobby was a good alternative to take it a bit easier after a busy, exhausting day in the city. 26 November 2013
