Hotel was ok although not up to the usual Intercontinental standard. Constant fan noise in the room, when checked out was informed that it's the generator and the receptionist didn't even say 'Sorry'. Felt like nobody cared how my stay went. Will not stay there again.

Enjoyed a 3 night stay with our teenage son's first trip to NYC. Beautiful room, comfortable beds, spa shower all appreciated! Love the personal Keurig coffee maker. Great location near Times Square but a little off from the main drags kept it quieter. Only needed a taxi once walked everywhere including the Intrepid museum only 10 minutes away and Empire State about 15 Minutes. Best hamburgers around the corner Shake Shack a must do. Parked for 3 days across the street in the lot very reasonable, no need for valet. Definitely would want to stay here again next time if I could get the reduced rate.

Rachel, the concierge was just fantastic and gave me all information needed. I strongly recommend this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to return.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Majedk Worst Experience at Intercontinental!
I have stayed at Intercontinental New York Times Square for one night and it was the worst experience ever! Since I'm an Ambassador member I have a guaranteed upgrade but unfortunately that wasn't true! I didn't get the upgrade and the receptionist has apologized that the next category is fully booked! What's the compensation? NOTHING!
The hotel's staff are not friendly at all! nobody's smiling except the concierge!
When I went to the Ambassador desk for check out the receptionist asked me: How was your stay with us? I replied: I will never come back again! She replied: Yeah that's happened sometimes! (But she didn't ask me why!!!)

As an Ambassador, the hotel was great in upgrading us to a higher floor sky view room. Housekeeping needs to be a little sharper. Only one slipper and one bottled water for 2 people in room. Hotel was very nice in recognizing my wife's birthday with a nice cake and birthday message. Very convenient to Broadway shows and nice restaurants. Recommend to my friends.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Laurie401 Double Charged
Overall a decent experience. When we checked out we paid cash for our stay which included overnight parking. I specifically asked if there would be additional charges because we were leaving the car a few hours past check out and we were assured by both the front desk and the parking attendant that we would not pay any additional fees. Lo and behold I paid the same exact fee when I checked out and that same fee also showed up on my credit card. I called to speak with the billing department, Of course I got voice mail and no one called me back. Unacceptable. I wouldn't stay here again based on the lack of customer service.

We recently stayed at the Intercontinental Times Square for 4 days. My husband and I were in town with our 2 daughters to see Wicked on Broadway. The location was perfect for seeing a show as well as taking in all of the TImes Square sights. The hotel was very comfortable with nice sized rooms. The beds were extremely comfortable. I usually don't sleep well in hotels, but had no problem getting a good nights sleep here.
The customer service from the hotel staff was outstanding. Everyone was always all smiles and ready to help. One member of the bell staff, Eddie, was particularly helpful to my family. He went out of his way to write down recommended restaurants in the area, helped us to secure transportation when we needed it, and even sent up a welcome snack for our family on our first night. He really went above and beyond to make it feel like home for us. It is special touches like these that will keep us coming back to this hotel. In fact, we plan to return to NYC this summer and will definitely stay at the Intercontinental.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by NoVABuckeye It was "OK"
The location was perfect for meetings and shows we had on and near Times Square. Our room was fine and Ca Va was great.
I just never felt that the room was clean enough (coffee cups and water glasses we used were "wiped down" by the cleaning people, but not replaced as an example... I'm certain of this). Also, the room just didn't feel "Intercontinental" as I've experienced in many other cities around the globe. Even the robes were tattered, to a degree (unfortunately).

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Manolo10 One week in New York, a place to stay
We stayed at this property from 3rd of April until 10th of April 2013. Beside that the rooms are small (NY typical problem) we had a lovely corner room looking towards Hudson River and 8th uptown.
The best of it is location. Basically 20 m from Subway going to JFK, it is really ideally located for travelers and Broadway enthusiasts likewise.
What we didn't like wasn't that much. One morning I had a guest and wanted a cappuccino 1 m away from the breakfast "demarcation line". I was flatly refused in a not too polite way. When I mentioned it at the reception I was given the feel " don't bother us with such things."
Other than this, people are very friendly and helpful and rooms are pretty clean and made up on time regularly.
Would go again

This hotels location was fantastic for our first time visit to New York. Practically straight out of the door you have Times Square and Broadway.
We were in a superior king size room which had one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in. the rooms were spacious and lovely and clean as was the bathroom.
The gym is also a great spacious facility with a good variety of machines and weights to choose from.
Overall a great hotel.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Scratch66 Absence of free wifi
Unlike other loyalty programs that give free wifi to members, this hotel does not. While the cost for wifi is neither prohibitive nor inexpensive, the absence of free wifi to loyalty program members is a factor in deciding which hotel to use, particularly on business trips.

The bed was so comfortable that I didn't want to get out of it. The guest services were amazing, from the bell captains, front desk, maids, lounge, restaurant, etc. If you want top of the line everything, visit the InterContinental Hotel in times Square. You will love it as much as I did.

We will stay here every time we go to NYC.
Two blocks from Times Square, right on a subway line with lots to do in the immediate vicinty as well.
The staff was always helpful and ready to serve. Rooms are very nice - higher up the better, but we were on the 4th floor and loved it.
Overall incredible experience. Highly recommended.

Great location and workout area. Rooms OK - small, but had very comfortable beds (soft). Even though I am a Priority Club Platinum member, they still wanted to charge me for internet - declined service at $15.00 per day.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dave28 Excellent New York Trip
Stayed at this property using priority club points. Was given a room upgrade at check-in as an ambassador member, and afforded all of the benifits of membership. The property was clean, modern and updated. Location was excellent to Time Square, the Theater District, and a subway access just outside the hotel entrance. We will use this property again. Upon return home, realized that we forgot a drawer full of clothes, I contacted the hotel the next day, housekeeping assisted me in locating the clothes and have them shipped back to our home. Thank you!!!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Carol07 Great beds, great location, great staff
After spending some 20 nights here over the past few years, this hotel is like finding home in the midst of the NYC theater district. With a subway station at the hotel, you can get anywhere from here. After a busy day walking the city the rain shower, the comfortable beds and the serene setting all allow much needed rest. It's just far away enough from Times Square to put you in the middle of the action without all the noise. And, it's close enough to allow you to explore the uniqueness that is HK/Clinton. I highly recommend this property.

The staff is very helpful and friendly. Room is a bit small, but it is acceptable for NYC. Very good location, and good bar to hang out in the evening. My wife left her bracelet, and we called and they were able to find it. We recommend this hotel to everyone, including the family.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mikefromthe508 Awesome Hotel, Awesome Spot, Awesome Restaurant
By far and away the best hotel I have stayed at in NYC. Better than the Waldorf, better than the Marriott. Maybe it was the room upgrade or the late checkout allowed by my membership. Maybe it was the awesome hotel bar/restaurant (watch out for red bull vodka, those'll drain your wallet in a hurry). I will be back for a corner room next time. Plus parking was valeted for $55 per night. This a deal in the city.

Want to thank everyone for their hospitality. My only complaint was a feathered pillow was left in the closet which could have caused me issues as I am allergic. We requested prior to our arrival to have all down and goosefeather pillows and comforters removed from the room. Also, the extra pillows were not there. Otherwise, a nice stay. Love the bathroom tile.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by filmsandmusic They didn't give up on us
Zahava and her team need to be thanked for their endless patience. Ours was a complicated booking involving several rooms, changes to the reservation, and then adding more rooms again. They stuck with us all the way through. Given the lack of service I've experienced from other Times Square area hotels that don't care to be bothered with large parties (because they know the rooms sell out anyway and they just don't give a...) I must say I was thrilled to find a hotel team willing and able to accomodate our overseas film crew's needs.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DWfromNY Beautiful hotel in a central location
My husband and I stayed at the Intercontinental Times Square last weekend. We selected the hotel based upon previous stays at other Intercontinental hotels, the reasonable rate, and the location close to theaters. What a great choice! This location is perfect. We went to dinner and the theatre Saturday and Sunday walked up to Central Park. In addition the subway is right next to the hotel so getting around the city is easy if you wanted to go downtown or elsewhere. The room was comfortable and very nicely appointed. The bathroom was beautifully done with a large walk in shower. Even though the location is right on 8th avenue and we were on the 3rd floor THERE WAS NO STREET NOISE. I was amazed! When we noticed that we needed more in room coffee packets we called housekeeping and they were delivered quickly. Front desk staff very courteous. Another thing I liked about this hotel was it's spacious feel. Sometimes Manhattan hotels can feel very small. Hallways and elevator areas were spacious. Elevators were fast and there were plenty of them. Also restaurant bar was great!!! Definitely recommend and will stay again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JazzyP Great Location! Service!Room!
I arrived a little later than I planned and called to let them know. When I arrived because they are so accomodating they had given my room away to another guest but upgraded me asubstantially. I had the most comfortable rest and soothing shower than I've had a long time when it comes to a hotel. I toatlly reccomend the Time Square location, the higher floors especialy the Penthouse Suite have awsome views yet quite peaceful being in the center of a lot of action.
My priority rewards were honored and applied with no problem at all.
