Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 968 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful experience in Times Square This was a three-day trip, attending a conference at a nearby hotel. Staff was wonderful - every interaction was professional, polite, and made me feel like I was important. The room was excellent - large and roomy, very clean, well-appointed. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was very nice and the shower was very large. I was very pleased with my choice, and the value. 29 April 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place, great staff We were only in town for a couple of days, our stay here made it definitely worth the trip. Near everywhere we wanted to be (including the subway stop right outside the door), the staff and room were excellent in every way - clean, comfortable, and gorgeous. My only nit was the $8.50 it took to print a travel voucher in the business center - nickel and diming doesn't become you. Thank you for the great stay :) 28 April 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Can't beat the location, but... I booked a view room for the weekend on the hotel website. I specified I did not want an ADA room. I called the hotel to ensure that my order had come through as well as to let them know my teenage daughter was arriving on a fight 6 hours before me so there would be no trouble checking her in. I arrived close to midnight only to find we had an ADA room with a clogged bathtub! When I called the front desk, they said that they could not move us until the next day. This made me feel that they had taken advantage of my daughter's naïveté because she was too shy to complain when she checked in. The room we got the next day barely had a view. I was offered no apology or compensation for the inconvenience despite the acknowledgement that my file said no ADA room. I do have to give great kudos to the doormen who were very vigilant about getting us a car to the airport only with a safe and reputable driver. I love the location and this stay is not consistent with my past experience, so I'd give it one more try in hopes that this one was the exception. 27 April 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Supercalafragilistic!! Absoltely wonderful. Spectacular huge window views all the way up 8th Avenue. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Terrific amenities. One of the best places we've ever stayed. THANK YOU!!! 26 April 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent location & very comfortable i stayed for 3 nights, i liked the location very much as it was in the heart of time square where everything is near by..theatres, cinemas, shopping, restaurants....etc the hotel is very clean and quite, restuarant offers superb choices of meals. i was lucky to get a v.good offer for this hotel 26 April 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by only so/so This is a very over-rated property that compares very unfavourably with other hotels in the Inter-continental range. It's something about Inter-continental in the US - nothing like their cousins in asia or africa. and even royal ambassador status didn't mean much. 26 April 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good situation Very helpful and kindly the staff. Very good location. I think the WiFi should be free in all these hotel, other hotels with less category have free WiFi. 25 April 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by room and service The room was comfortable and the service good for the most part. We had requested more coffee(k cups for the coffee machine) several times, but didnt always have this request satisfied. We also discovered our door was left open open when we returned to our room after the room was cleaned. Nothing was missing, but we were concerned and reported it to the front desk. Additionally, the cost for internet should be included in the daily rate ,much like your competitors do. We checked in on April 18-checked out April 21,please update your records. 24 April 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by The hotel is nice, but the housekeeping department is really poor and the management is not professional The hotel is nice, but the housekeeping department is really poor and the management is not professional 23 April 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible noise on 7th floor Hotel was ok although not up to the usual Intercontinental standard. Constant fan noise in the room, when checked out was informed that it's the generator and the receptionist didn't even say 'Sorry'. Felt like nobody cared how my stay went. Will not stay there again. 23 April 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by luxury and convenience Enjoyed a 3 night stay with our teenage son's first trip to NYC. Beautiful room, comfortable beds, spa shower all appreciated! Love the personal Keurig coffee maker. Great location near Times Square but a little off from the main drags kept it quieter. Only needed a taxi once walked everywhere including the Intrepid museum only 10 minutes away and Empire State about 15 Minutes. Best hamburgers around the corner Shake Shack a must do. Parked for 3 days across the street in the lot very reasonable, no need for valet. Definitely would want to stay here again next time if I could get the reduced rate. 22 April 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by New York New York Very nice hotel with a large gym and comfy rooms. Pleasant touch with personal computer in every room. Rachel, the concierge was just fantastic and gave me all information needed. I strongly recommend this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to return. 21 April 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst Experience at Intercontinental! I have stayed at Intercontinental New York Times Square for one night and it was the worst experience ever! Since I'm an Ambassador member I have a guaranteed upgrade but unfortunately that wasn't true! I didn't get the upgrade and the receptionist has apologized that the next category is fully booked! What's the compensation? NOTHING! The hotel's staff are not friendly at all! nobody's smiling except the concierge! When I went to the Ambassador desk for check out the receptionist asked me: How was your stay with us? I replied: I will never come back again! She replied: Yeah that's happened sometimes! (But she didn't ask me why!!!) 21 April 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Enjoyable Stay As an Ambassador, the hotel was great in upgrading us to a higher floor sky view room. Housekeeping needs to be a little sharper. Only one slipper and one bottled water for 2 people in room. Hotel was very nice in recognizing my wife's birthday with a nice cake and birthday message. Very convenient to Broadway shows and nice restaurants. Recommend to my friends. 21 April 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean and updated rooms, good location Rooms very clean, nice staff, updated rooms, great location near time square and theaters. Will stay again. Only problem, doors slam make a lot of noise. 20 April 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Double Charged Overall a decent experience. When we checked out we paid cash for our stay which included overnight parking. I specifically asked if there would be additional charges because we were leaving the car a few hours past check out and we were assured by both the front desk and the parking attendant that we would not pay any additional fees. Lo and behold I paid the same exact fee when I checked out and that same fee also showed up on my credit card. I called to speak with the billing department, Of course I got voice mail and no one called me back. Unacceptable. I wouldn't stay here again based on the lack of customer service. 20 April 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stay at Intercontinental Times Square We recently stayed at the Intercontinental Times Square for 4 days. My husband and I were in town with our 2 daughters to see Wicked on Broadway. The location was perfect for seeing a show as well as taking in all of the TImes Square sights. The hotel was very comfortable with nice sized rooms. The beds were extremely comfortable. I usually don't sleep well in hotels, but had no problem getting a good nights sleep here. The customer service from the hotel staff was outstanding. Everyone was always all smiles and ready to help. One member of the bell staff, Eddie, was particularly helpful to my family. He went out of his way to write down recommended restaurants in the area, helped us to secure transportation when we needed it, and even sent up a welcome snack for our family on our first night. He really went above and beyond to make it feel like home for us. It is special touches like these that will keep us coming back to this hotel. In fact, we plan to return to NYC this summer and will definitely stay at the Intercontinental. 20 April 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It was "OK" The location was perfect for meetings and shows we had on and near Times Square. Our room was fine and Ca Va was great. I just never felt that the room was clean enough (coffee cups and water glasses we used were "wiped down" by the cleaning people, but not replaced as an example... I'm certain of this). Also, the room just didn't feel "Intercontinental" as I've experienced in many other cities around the globe. Even the robes were tattered, to a degree (unfortunately). 19 April 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by One week in New York, a place to stay We stayed at this property from 3rd of April until 10th of April 2013. Beside that the rooms are small (NY typical problem) we had a lovely corner room looking towards Hudson River and 8th uptown. The best of it is location. Basically 20 m from Subway going to JFK, it is really ideally located for travelers and Broadway enthusiasts likewise. What we didn't like wasn't that much. One morning I had a guest and wanted a cappuccino 1 m away from the breakfast "demarcation line". I was flatly refused in a not too polite way. When I mentioned it at the reception I was given the feel " don't bother us with such things." Other than this, people are very friendly and helpful and rooms are pretty clean and made up on time regularly. Would go again 15 April 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great location for first time visit to New York This hotels location was fantastic for our first time visit to New York. Practically straight out of the door you have Times Square and Broadway. We were in a superior king size room which had one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in. the rooms were spacious and lovely and clean as was the bathroom. The gym is also a great spacious facility with a good variety of machines and weights to choose from. Overall a great hotel. 15 April 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Loved this Hotel Had a great stay. The Hotel is a real value for this part of New York. Would highly recommend this property and those many dedicated individuals who made my stay very enjoyable. 14 April 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Absence of free wifi Unlike other loyalty programs that give free wifi to members, this hotel does not. While the cost for wifi is neither prohibitive nor inexpensive, the absence of free wifi to loyalty program members is a factor in deciding which hotel to use, particularly on business trips. 14 April 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed and guest services. The bed was so comfortable that I didn't want to get out of it. The guest services were amazing, from the bell captains, front desk, maids, lounge, restaurant, etc. If you want top of the line everything, visit the InterContinental Hotel in times Square. You will love it as much as I did. 12 April 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Knowledgeablel, friendly, helpful staff. Very nice rooms and an incredible location! We will stay here every time we go to NYC. Two blocks from Times Square, right on a subway line with lots to do in the immediate vicinty as well. The staff was always helpful and ready to serve. Rooms are very nice - higher up the better, but we were on the 4th floor and loved it. Overall incredible experience. Highly recommended. 11 April 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great workout area Great location and workout area. Rooms OK - small, but had very comfortable beds (soft). Even though I am a Priority Club Platinum member, they still wanted to charge me for internet - declined service at $15.00 per day. 11 April 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent New York Trip Stayed at this property using priority club points. Was given a room upgrade at check-in as an ambassador member, and afforded all of the benifits of membership. The property was clean, modern and updated. Location was excellent to Time Square, the Theater District, and a subway access just outside the hotel entrance. We will use this property again. Upon return home, realized that we forgot a drawer full of clothes, I contacted the hotel the next day, housekeeping assisted me in locating the clothes and have them shipped back to our home. Thank you!!! 11 April 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay as always The Intercontinental Times Sq never disappoints. Rooms are very clean and modern, the staff is very friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. The hotel itself sits near most major train lines and accessibility to cabs immediately. Great hotel! 10 April 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great beds, great location, great staff After spending some 20 nights here over the past few years, this hotel is like finding home in the midst of the NYC theater district. With a subway station at the hotel, you can get anywhere from here. After a busy day walking the city the rain shower, the comfortable beds and the serene setting all allow much needed rest. It's just far away enough from Times Square to put you in the middle of the action without all the noise. And, it's close enough to allow you to explore the uniqueness that is HK/Clinton. I highly recommend this property. 08 April 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Location and Quality for NYC The staff is very helpful and friendly. Room is a bit small, but it is acceptable for NYC. Very good location, and good bar to hang out in the evening. My wife left her bracelet, and we called and they were able to find it. We recommend this hotel to everyone, including the family. 07 April 2013
