Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor customer service I am an ambassador platinum customer and i was using my buy one night get one free weekend night coupon. while checking in at the hotel i realized i forgot to bring my coupon. The concierge rep said it was ok and that once i get home to send them the certificate and they will refund me the free night but they would have to charge me first. So i agreed. Once i returned home from the trip i mailed them the coupon certificate immediately. Its been over a month and they have still not located my certificate that i have sent to them. I call them every week but the rep keeps telling me that they have not recieved it and that she will look around because it could have gone to a different department or lost in the mail room somewhere. The customer rep never reaches out to me. She never tries to contact me. when i try to call her its very difficult because she does not always pick up her phone, and she does not return my calls when i leave her a voicemail. It is just poor customer service all around. Why can't IHG look at my account and see that i have not used my certificate this year and put a note on my account that i am using it now. Terrible Program. Who uses paper certificates anymore these days? with the technology advancements available there has to be an easier way! 01 October 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by InterContinental never let me down!!! The best hotel with the most friendly staff in my recent NYC trip. I was able to check in at 1:30 p.m. and the gentleman with glasses was very friendly and kind, always had a smile on his face. I was not able to get an upgrade as a Platinum member because they were sold out but I got a nice quiet room on a high floor as I requested. Location can't be more convenient. Very spacious room, nice view, however the fan in the bathroom did not work. Every single front desk agent I spoke to was very helpful and friendly, my only concern was that I was not able to request a late check out after I check in and had to wait till my departure date to ask. But overall excellent stay! InterContinental is my fav. hotel brand and it never let me down! 01 October 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice location I found your hotel similar to the Intercontinental in Boston with great front desk, and first floor people. The maid service was fine and the elevators were responsive. Your best feature is the location. I was disturbed that I had to get on the Business center computer to get a hard copy from my e-mail regarding my limo pick up. This cost $8.50? There should be a better way for the guest to do this, like at Holiday Inn Express! 22 September 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Business trip Hotel was a fair value for the area. Stayed for 3 nights. Was moved after the 1st night to a "better" room. It was less of a room but with a nice view. Service was good and did not eat or drink in any of the facilities in house. Would stay again. 19 September 2014

NOT AN EXPERIENCE TO BE DESIRED horrendous experience at this location. the service at the Tod English restaurant can only be rated as bellow poor. inattentive, unprofessional, mediocre. the food when serve after continuous delays and waits was not cooked as requested. any additional request wa never entertained. check in staff is poorly trained, slow and disorganized. 16 September 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Sept 9-11, 2014 Stay While one cannot go too wrong with an InterContinental property, I was disappointed with the one at Times Square. The lady who checked me in was grouchy, did not acknowledge my IHG rewards membership or status and was inflexible when trying to request a late a check out. The room itself was nice but the AC rattled all night and I woke up each morning with a backache from the mattress. By contrast, my checkout experience was far better. The location is also excellent. I am inclined to return to the InterCon Barclay on my next visit. 15 September 2014

Had booked into Intercontinal The BarclayBerkley.Closed for refurb not told at time of booking (7 March 2014) later transferred to Intercontinental Times Square in May. No knowledge of booking on arrival. Some time to sort out problem. Because of problem we were "upgraded" to a disabled room (2682). Not at all what was anticipated for a post 40 th pre 70 birthday for daughter from Austtalia and Mother from UK. 14 September 2014

The only bar is off the lobby and often full of people checked out or waiting to check in. So you cannot get a seat. You also need to walk to 8th or 9th avenue for a cab as they rarely pass the hotel. Everything else is great - nice rooms quiet and perfect location. 13 September 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful Stay! We traveled to NYC for a week vacation with friends and family. We were greeted with smiles at the door and very courteous, professional desk staff. Our room was very clean and housekeeping did a superb job at maintaining the comfort and neatness of our space. We initially stayed at the property in 2010 during Thanksgiving and wanted the same experience again. We were not disappointed. This time around we came as "Ambassadors" of the hotel and enjoyed the extra TLC. We have decided there is no where else we would like to stay when in NYC. Our next stay will be in New Orleans. We are looking forward to our experience there. 11 September 2014
