Nice Hotel

This is a nice hotel, the staff is very nice and for the most part helpful and very professional, I find upper Management needs to be more attentive to the overall management of the property.

Panama Adventure

We elected to visit Panama and consider it for a retirement destination. We stayed at the Intercontinental Miramar based on the recommendation of a travel agent. We are very glad to have made this choice.

The staff could not have been more courteous, friendly our helpful. First rate from the Lobby to the Bar to the Restaurant, to Housekeeping.

One very special note of thanks to Elodie at the Concierge desk. She went above and beyond to help us find day tours and set them up with English speaking guides (as my Espanol still needs some work). Additionally, after arriving at the airport for our trip back to the USA, my wife discovered she left her cell phone in the room. Elodie personally went to the room and retrieved it; then made shipping arrangements to send the phone to our home. It was barely 24 hours behind us! This was greatly appreciated and just one example of how far this staff goes to ensure your stay in Panama City.

What a beautiful place....

Great View, Great Location!

This hotel is in the prime location with a full view of the ocean, downtown and Casco Viejo. View from the upper floors is excellent.

Plenty of restaurants and activities within walking distance or short taxi ride.

Staff was excellent and very friendly/helpful.

Pool is quite large, well maintained and not crowded.

Will stay here again when I return to Panama

Good location and condition of room/facilities.

Had an overall a good stay. Received ambassador benefits but 2 things to note, the ambassador late checkout is 2PM at this hotel, not 4PM and I don't think the hotel has any pay movies.

The location is good with good views of the ocean skyline. The room condition was good and clean, the building is overall in good condition, including the lobby, hallways, room and the club lounge. The breakfast spread in the lounge is not bad with some hot items like eggs, a meat dish, potatoes breads, ham, salmon, cheeses, cereal etc.

The check in clerk could have been a bit more warm and friendly, check out was very friendly and courteous. Service in the lounge was good.

1 thing that annoyed me (not the fault of the hotel) is that Uber drivers always go to the wrong side of the hotel and not the valet area so be aware of that. The hotel's arranged car service is much more expensive vs a taxi/Uber around town (a $2 uberx ride cost $7.30 on the car service). Exception is the ride to the airport which was about $37 vs a $30 taxi ride which is reasonable enough.

Great hotel and with friendly and attentive staff. Only thing lacking is the wifi, which for lack of better words, is terrible. Only other thing is that in the bar/lounge, I ordered a Jack Daniel's on the rocks on Saturday evening, the bartender (female) did not notify me that there was no more Jack Daniel's in stock and proceeded in serving me a Johnny Walker Red Label without letting me know. I had to ask for a different drink as I immediately noticed the difference between bottom shelf scotch and mid level whiskey.

Other than that, I had a great experience in every other aspect of the stay.

All about the view

From an excellent location on the Cinta Costera, the best view and pool around, an easy walk to Mercado de Mariscos...this hotel is a good choice. The lounge staff is friendly, the front desk staff is helpful, Spire Elite status is recognized, and there is never a long wait for an elevator. I would be happy to return again.
