Paris - Avenue Marceau

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 100 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by bed and shower I am satisfied with the room and size of bed. In the past I only stayed at Intercontinental Grand Paris and fully be happiest stay there. This time unfortunately it was full therefore stay at Avenue Marceuu. The size of room and bed , it is advantage within central Paris. 11 August 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic Service and Location Pros: Fantastic and genuinely warm and friendly service Expert Concierge Team (Especially Oliver and Mickael) Very Convenient Location Modern Facilities Impressive entrance to the hotel Modern Appliances and facilities Robes and Slippers provided Cons: Rooms on the small side Not a Buisness Hotel (which is also a Pro) Probably not good for holding a conference but okay for a business meeting etc. No Swimming Pool If you are a family traveling to Paris to for leisure, look no where else! This is by far the most welcoming and friendly hotel that you are likely to find in Paris. I say this in large part due to the service provided by the Hotel Concierge Team. If you give them a day's warning they are likely to find you what you require. This is wonderful especially when your French is not up to Parisian Standards. Also these folks really care! When I was able to find an anlternative to one of their suggestions, they immediately ask me for details of my find so that they can put it on their list of suggestions for future clients. Now to me that says this hotel is keen to improve on what I found to be excellent service. Some brief examples: After speedy check-in, I was personally led to my room; I did not know how to operate the Nesspresso machine in room, within 30 minutes a technician was sent to my room to show me how; specific and rather eccentric restaurant requirements were met by the staff; I left my wallet in room and now concierge is sending it back to me. Water (Evian or Badoit (fizzy) ) were always available in the checking area! The rooms are not big. However since it was for leisure (mostly) I rarely stayed in my room. For a 5 day stay, I think I spent at most 10 waking hours in my hotel room. The bed was wonderfully comfortable after a long 12 hour day of touring in and around Paris! There are other hotels around but if you can afford the cost and would like 5 star service and boutique treatment, choose this hotel! Room Tip: Ask for a courtyard room, its slightly further of a walk to the room, but it was very quiet and the window opened onto the courtyard. 08 August 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location & Service I like their welcoming to the Ambassador and their extra benefits for them. 04 August 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very beautiful and clean bedroom Excellent welcome from the staff. The bedroom was very clean with a very comfortable bedding. 02 August 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quick trip to Paris I have stayed at this hotel on previous trips to Paris. I really like the locaton, just 5 min walk from the Champs d'Elysees. The hotel is clean and the rooms are very nice. The staff were very helpful. I will stay there again without hesitation. 31 July 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The place I look forward to Here is a short comment to share my impressions. I do travel a lot within Europe and this is definitively the place I look the most forward to. From the first night I spent in this hotel, I liked it. I really feel at home when staying at this Intercontinental benefiting from all the outstanding comfort. The quality of the rooms is simply perfect and the professionalism of their staff is wonderful. The word good doesn’t exist for them, it must always be excellent. In addition to this, the restaurant (and its patio) is very nice. For the ones who could wonder if I have been paid to say this: my answer is: “no”. It is simply how I feel about this hotel. 22 July 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Stay Near Champs Elysees Recently stayed at Intercontinental Ave Marceau in mid June 2013 during Paris Airshow week, a very hectic time for hotel stays. I strongly recommend this location if you want to be near (5 mins walking distance) to the main Champs Elysees shopping belt, yet want some quiet. Staff are excellent, especially catering to all our group's various needs. Special thanks to Manon and Virginia from the executive team. The concierge, Olivier and Mikael, are excellent with their knowledge of the area and recommendations. This is a small cosy hotel, that offers you excellent boutique comforts and yet within 5 mins walk, you're at the hustle and bustle of Champs Elysees. My visitors also had no problems finding parking outside the hotel. An undiscovered secret, although rates were quite high but probably representative of the quality, location and standards of service, and certainly worth revisiting. I have also stayed at Marriott Champs Elysees which also offers excellent service and is right at Champs Elysees doorstep, but prefer Intercon Ave Marceau due to its cosy location and personal service levels. 19 July 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Good location, terrible room The hotel was selected becuase of location and becuase of my ambasador membership. The room that was provided to me (202) is more like a storage room and not a hotel room. I and wife were barely able to move around, knowing that the rate paid was very high. As an ambasodor member, I was epxecting a better room, not to mention an upgrade. 17 July 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Incredible staff and location! The staff was so nice and polite and the rooms were spotless. In addition, the restaurant serves really good food and has a great atmosphere. From now on, I will stay at this hotel everytime I go to Paris. 15 July 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great service and a great location. The Hotel is in a superb Location. All the staff is very friendly and the Concierge service and knowledge is admirable!! Great experience... 05 July 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Wonderful Week From the time we arrived until we checked out the service and staff were wonderful and extremely helpful. I can't say enough about the assistance we received from all three concierges from concert reservations to meal recommendations. This is a small boutique hotel with a great location near the Champs Elysees with many small restaurants nearby. The staff greeted us every morning at breakfast catered to all of our requirements. Our room was not large but was well laid out and the bed was very comfortable. WiFi was available and worked well. We will definitely stay here on our next visit to Paris. 02 July 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by huge disappointment i was hoping for a more boutiquey experience in paris...but the whole stay was a massive disappointment. the layout of the hotel is weird, the only elevator takes ages, they claim to have an extensive fitness centre when it is nothing more than a closet, the rooms are quite (nice bathroom) nice but feel like those design hotels trying too hard and end up being a patchwork with no soul and that does not age well. there is no lounge, no facilities, average breakfast. poor communication with reservation centre, poor Royal ambassador recognition and inaccurate billing.... Paris clearly offers better options and i do not intend to visit this property again in those conditions 24 May 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good location, high cost I have been in the hotel last year and thought that If I come back again (and book two rooms for me and my colleague), I get better service. But not. As a Platinum Ambassador I expected a bit better room, however...explanation is always the same: 'we are fully booked'. Good points: location and quality of the sleep, coffee machine, free water and free Internet. To be improved: using shower is really challenging due to small size, poorly equipped fitness room, English level of some restaurant staff (not all). 24 May 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Location, great service, and comfortable bed with exceptional linens Our first night in room 305 was like living a dream. Perfect. Since we were using priority points we had to switch to another room because room 305 wasn't available both nights. We moved into 405. The room was slightly bigger. There was a terrible sewer smell coming from the shower drain after we took a shower. The smell continued through the night. We kept the bathroom door closed and opened the windows. It was a beautiful night in Paris with the windows opened. We reported the sewer smell and suggested they clean the drain. 21 May 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by WEEKEND BREAK As experienced by other members we were not allowed to have our Ambassador room upgrade on first night due to lack of availability, we were offered it for nights 2/3 but it meant changing rooms after 4 on second night, and we could not be bothered with hassle of packing and unpacking again, we were offered compo in the shape of breakfast which we were happy to accept. Our main issue with the hotel was that the bar and restaruant do not open on Sundays, the bar also is possibly the worst of any we have seen in a IC hotel, totaly lacking in atmosphere and very similar in ambience to the Perlachaise which we visited during our trip to see Jim Morrisson, Come on guys open on Sundays and inject some life to the place. The concierge staff were very helpfull and told us all we needed to know, even whre to go to eat and drink when hotel bar is closed. 07 May 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A lovely Bijou Intercontinental Paris. Wonderful staff. PRIORITY REWARDS PLATINUM AMBASSADOR MEMBER My Partner and I stayed at this hotel from the 27th to the 30th of April 2013 for part of our honeymoon tour and visit to Paris. Our stay was exceptional. All the staff were courteous and helpful to a degree One rarely Finds. We were looked after very well indeed with every aspect of our stay. With a marvelous and warm welcome from Stephanie. The room was immaculate and every aspect of our stay met or exceeded expectations. The hotel has an excellent location near the Champs d'Elysees and the Arc de triumph, and a little brisk walk down the road to the Seine river, where you will be greeted by the Eiffel Tour. Mickael Concierge extraordinaire will get you going in all the right directions, he is very good and has a charming demeanor. It is in a quiet part of Paris with bakeries and various restaurants in walking distance. Across the road is a lovely Patisserie and small grocery store. Within the Hotel is the excellent Restaurant M64. Overall, this was an excellent hotel and we would recommend it. It is though not the Paris Intercontinental The Grand, which I stayed at previously, you cannot compare them it's like trying to compare The Musée du Louvre with the Musée d'Art Moderne, they are both great but uniquely independent and different. This year in June 2013 the Priority Rewards club gets a revamp, a new name and new benefits, with some better reward opportunities and will be called the IHG Rewards Club. So look out for those exciting changes. As an IHG Platinum Ambassador, I can recommend this Hotel Highly and the rewards program. 05 May 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lovely hotel -- great staff! We traveled to Paris with a large group and we all stayed at the Intercontinental Paris - Avenue Marceau -- the rooms are beautiful and comfortable and the staff is wonderful. The food is excellent, too! We will be back! 30 April 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Hotel Definitely Not 5 Star This hotel is the not what the advertising said! It has to be the saddest Intercontinental I have stayed in. This was also confirmed by the friends who were staying for two nights. Definitely not five star. I understand this was previously a Crown Plaza and was the Israel Embassy before that. 13 April 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent service and great location The hotel is in an excellent location, just a few minutes walk from Champs-Élysées. Service was excellent from the iniitial reception through the help provided by the concierge up the departure. Compared to similar class Paris hotels it also provides very good value for money. 11 April 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great service with a lovely concierge service willing to solve all your requests warm, cosy hotel-home away from home atmoshere in a lovely strategic area for shopping and sightseeing. 30 March 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Service, Nice Room, Excellent Location My wife and I stayed at this hotel 13-16 March 2013 for our honeymoon and visit to Paris. The hotel has an excellent location near the Champs d'Elysees and the Arc de triumph. It is in a quiet part of Paris with bakeries and various restaurants in walking distance. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous in all areas. Our room was very large (by Parisian standards) and very clean. Overall, this was an excellent hotel and we would highly recommend it. 22 March 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by If you are a Royal Ambassador, this property should be your last option The hotel is located well and has a modern character, but has 5 or 6 category rooms where you will see almost no difference at all. So when you are a platinum or royal ambassador, don't expect much even when rooms are available, you ll end up at what they think is good enough!? Suites and larger rooms " always full even if you book 6 months in advance" ... So your best bet for a fair treatment if you end up booking in their low season which is the summer... 10 March 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect Holiday in City of Romance Great location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Very satisfying stay. 07 March 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Hotel Intercontinental Marceau The most polite and courteous team in the whole of Paris!!! 23 January 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by freindly and great locations i just love this hotel it is close to everything and the personel is just incridable 18 December 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful staff and boutique feeling Friendly staff from start to end, great service quality and by far one of the best sleeps I have had in a hotel. Due to the small size of the hotel it feels very petit and personal, but some people might have a problem with this. Great amenities and personal touches. Remember that in Europe rooms (especially Paris) can be on the smaller side, but I'd pick this property over the IC Le Grand in Paris any day! 22 November 2012
