This was our 3rd time here and by far the best. We were in room 2315, which was a superior room with a large bed. I am a Platinum Ambassador and receive a one level upgrade at the time of booking for my Ambassador status and then another upgrade at check-in for my Platinum status. I had booked a Classic Room and had contacted the hotel that I would pay the 100 euro upcharge for Ambassador members to use the Executive Lounge, but on arrival, we went straight to the lounge and were greeted by Elisabeth, who told that since the hotel was full, that they could not upgrade our room so they gave us free lounge access. We were staying on each of our Chase “One free night” certificates that we receive each year for just an annual fee of $49 US. The reservations were in two names, but they combined them. The next day they said we could have a junior suite but that we would have to pay the 100 euro upcharge so I asked if we could stay in the same room and receive lounge access for free. They were so kind and let us do that. We had stayed in a different hotel each of the last 7 nights and didn’t want to have to pack and unpack again plus we were going out for most of the day and didn’t want to have to store our luggage. They made everything just right and took great care of us. This place, at least the lounge, has the most professional, personal service of any hotel in the world. Gilles took great care of us and made sure we had enough champagne and wine to drink each night and kept the supply flowing. We enjoyed our breakfast with eggs made to order and champagne in the lounge both mornings. There was another couple there from Maryland, I think, who kept talking about their dogs as if they were children. At first, I thought they had daughters. They were with a charming English couple, who may have been the parents of one of them. Everyone was so nice and friendly in the lounge. One night there were 4-5 groups, and we were all from Florida! The people from Miami even knew the same people back home! What a small world! The room was just the right size for our needs and was located very close to the elevator. There were service closets on each side so it was quiet. We had an inner room with a courtyard view. The bathroom had a separate shower as well as a tub. Everything was clean. The bed was very comfortable. We did have to unplug both lights so that we could use the electrical outlets, but that was no problem. It would be nice to have available outlets for guests’ use. We didn’t go to the front desk, and I only stopped by the concierge desk to drop off post cards to be mailed. We made full use of the lounge and were treated like royalty! I ate so much duck liver paté, lots of cheese, and some lovely pastries each afternoon and evening. I just can’t say enough about the lounge. Gilles is the best host in the world. Elisabeth, the young gentleman from Lebanon whose name I had written down but can't find, and others were also very helpful, professional, and nothing was too much to ask. They took care of everything. When we left for our parade, I told them and they sent housekeeping immediately so that our room would be clean on our return. I could go on and on, but just let me say, we already have reservations in early January and have booked a club room with our Ambassador weekend certificate. This is our favorite hotel in Paris and our favorite lounge (and staff) in the world!!!

THe hotel was wonderful in every way from check in to departure. THe staff is well trained and exceeds expectations, no request is too much trouble.

Another wonderful stay at Le Grand. The location is fantastic, the rooms and beds comfortable and luxurious. My only caveat is an overzealous housekeeper who chose to ignore my "do not disturb" sign, and come into the room, tidy the room, make the bed, and rearrange my toiletries, including my toothbrush! No reason she should have been touching my toothbrush. I had placed the sign on my door for a reason (I did not wish service that day, and required nothing new or replaced).
I have stayed here a number of times, and many Intercontinental hotels around the world, and always have great experiences.

The Hotel location is great.
The Breakfast is great, many choices, staff there are excellent.
Our group of 10 persons had a bad experience there.
We had 2 visits (first one night on 4th Dec. and second 2 nights on 9th and 10th Dec.)
Our room keys been locked on the next day @ 7.30 am. even though we emphasized at the reception that please ensure that we will use the room until 10.00 or 11.00 am.
So, after BF. we could not get back to the room !
When asked the duty manager to investigate, in stead of finding out how it happened, she kept saying that probably we placed our room keys near the mobile phone.
Finally, she herself found that because of all the keys been programmed check out time at 7.30 am.
Bad experience !!!
Staff (Reception) is neglected.
Duty Manager is incompetence
A pity very good hotel, all other staff are excellent.
I had used for BF. as well as drink at the bar ( please find from my expenses record)
