Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Decent sized room, good view, comfy bed and convenient club lounge Only stayed for one night, but had a great room with Eiffel Tower views and a very large, very comfortable bed. We chose to pay extra for club lounge access (as we were only in town for the day) and found it very relaxing, again with lovely views and a decent selection of food and drink. All staff were, as usual at InterContinentals, very courteous and helpful. Only slight disappointment was the breakfast was little lack-lustre compared to other InterContinentals. November 10, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful and Memorable Experience We were celebrating a special birthday (my 50th) and the hotel staff and management could not have made it more memorable or special. It was beyond anything we had imagined or expected. The room was beautiful with a great view. They sent champagne and delicious goodies to the room on my birthday. We left behind an article of clothing and the housekeeping staff searched the room, found it and sent it back to the US in less than a few days. They were so sweet and really went above and beyond. I hope to return to Paris again soon and to the Paris-Le Grande. Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience. I will never forget it! November 3, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by November 2, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Location, location my family like the location of this hotel. it is very convenient to visit Opera, shopping, restaurant. October 30, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed and great service. Comfortable Room and frindly staff. Perfekt breakfast with fresh orange juice. The prices at the bar and restaurant are very high, as in the whole hotel. If you wand a special event you have to go to the LE GRAND PARIS. October 30, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The Best in Paris!!!!!!!! From the moment we pulled up, the experience at Le Grand exceed all our high expectations! Everything you could imagine in a hotel was here: incredibly beautiful and historic structure, great location, courteous and professional staff everywhere, beautiful room, amazing air conditioning (crucial for a spoiled American), beautiful room, tons of hot water (!), beautiful furniture, amenities all over (Frette linens!!!), etc. We are experienced travelers with high expectations, and Le Grand exceeded them in every area. Can't wait to go back!!!!!!!!! October 28, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent service but a shabby room Always a nice place to stay while in Paris. Staff and service was excellent as always but room (Jr Suite) was overall a bit shabby. While entering the bathroom the door handle fell onto the floor and there was also a quite heavy smell of tobacco even it was a non smoking room. Bed was very good and the room spacious. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Le Grande experience coming from a Royal Ambassador Member for 14 years The GM is doing something great because I've stayed at this hotel over the years not very frequently but over a long period of time. And things have improved remarkably. Clemente in the club lounge is a Super Star! The front desk is solid. There's a young lady at the concierge desk is great and very helpful but the other concierge staff are arrogant and do not understand customer service. The maitre d at the breakfast hall acts like security guard and not a greeter, though the jr. maitre d wants to be service oriented. The instant service male who answers the phones is terrible and rarely gets requests correct and does not follow up many times. The staff in the breakfast hall is fantastic though I have to try very hard to get the guys who make the eggs to say hello or smile.. October 25, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by great service, beautiful hotel we came to the room , the air-condition was freezing ' we had to call for fixing it. the television didn't work the toilet didn't flushh the water during all four nights we had to flush it four to five times during shower al the water went out of the bath. pillow is too small nice that you let us stay for late checkout without payment October 23, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice Paris hotel Very nice hotel, with knowledgeable and helpful staff, in very convenient location. Room configuration on the small side (not unexpected) but very well appointed. Metro station right outside of the hotel door. Great convenience, but does allow for some minor train noise as the night quiets down. The only negative was the high price of simple things such as a cup of coffee in the lobby lounge ($9) or bowl of French onion soup ($27) in the Café .. which unfortunately affects overall value provided. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by What a shame! We were looking forward for our stay in this iconic hotel. What a disappointment ! Tiny dirty room. Dust everywhere, dirty bathroom, cracking ceiling, no tea or coffee in the room. How could it be 5 star hotel? They even did not provide hand soap until we called and asked! October 21, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic stay in Paris It was great to be relaxed The bedding was perfect comfortable , The breakfast also wondrful and the room was quie cosy I like all of things in this hotel felt very private and hotel location was 100 good . really impressive stay in Paris October 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Großartiges "Café de la Paix Mit Ausnahme der folgenden Punkte - Wasserkocher defekt -ungesichertes W-Lan -trotz Late-Check-Out bereits um 12.00 Uhr Zimmer nicht mehr zu öffnen war ich mit dem Aufenthalt sehr zufrieden und kann das Hotel nur empfehlen October 17, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mixed feelings this time We stayed here in December 2012 and had a wonderful experience. This time an email was sent asking what kind of room we would like and our arrival time. When we arrived at the time we said we would, a room fulfilling our wishes had not been planned for us and was not available, that if we wanted to wait there might be one later. As we were to go to lunch at a friend's home we said we were easy and would take what they had available. I think that was our mistake. We were given a very small inside room. When later we returned and we had not received any amenities, as I am an Ambassador, we inquired. A box of cookies and a bottle of water was sent up. We also requested a room change. We were given a better room. Overall this time our experience for the two nights we stayed I would not say was the best the hotel has to offer. It is still a great location and the hotel has a great history and ambiance. The hotel was full but that is no reason for the lack of recognition as a rewards club member or the lack of caring we felt from the staff. It also made me doubt my decision to become an Ambassador. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent service - a lovely stay I used my IHG Ambassador Club points to take my mother to Paris for six days to celebrate her 74th birthday. We had a wonderful stay and loved our room and the hotel's location. When using points, you're only guaranteed a "classic" room and any upgrades are at the hotel's discretion, which is perfectly reasonable. Given that, we were so pleased with our spacious 4th floor room with a balcony overlooking l'Opera. The room is decorated in a style that matches the hotel's period, but the bathroom has been modernized with lots of nice details like a shaving mirror, good vanity lighting, a large tub, a separate, glass enclosed shower stall with top spray and hand-held wand and even a retractable clothes line that can be pulled across the tub for hand laundered items, etc. I always appreciate the use of a bathrobe and slippers - less to pack. The linens were very warm and of good quality. The street below can be very noisy, so we were impressed with how well the sound was controlled when we closed the balcony doors and heavy curtains. We only heard sounds from a neighboring room once, and that was a small child crying very loudly, which we never heard again. The hotel was full, so the lack of noise was impressive. Even the plumbing sounds were well controlled and only barely noticeable from inside the bathroom - not at all disturbing. The service was excellent. We we arrived at 8:30 am we didn't expect a room to be ready, but just wanted to check in and drop off our luggage. The front desk kindly gave us passes for brunch at Cafe de la Paix, which was wonderful after almost 24 hours of travel. The buffet was excellent and we enjoyed it again on another morning. As I checked in I found that my global calling plan was not working - nothing's worse than an inoperable cell phone in today's world - so I really appreciated the efficient help I received from the young woman at the guest services desk. She used her desk phone to place a collect call to the US for me and I was able to resolve my technical problem within minutes. We also had a very nice interaction with the young man who came to service our mini-bar. Of course he said he could come back later, but as we were preparing to leave anyway, I invited him in to complete his tasks. We had a short but very pleasant conversation as he let us practice our French with him. I was particularly pleased when, on my mom's birthday, room service brought a bottle of champagne in an ice bucket, an absolutely beautiful, large mille-feuille pastry from Cafe de la Paix and a handwritten note wishing her a happy birthday, all of which was set up attractively in the room during the afternoon. We were both surprised and delighted and thoroughly enjoyed the treats. She said it was the best birthday cake she'd ever had and the champagne was very nicely balanced. We finished the cake for breakfast before we left for the airport the next morning. The hotel management has my genuine appreciation for such a kind gesture. It made my mom's day. October 13, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Four wonderful stays The InterContinental- Le Grand has served us well on four visits over the past two years and we look forward to returning. October 11, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Overpriced hotel with condescending staff Beautiful building and architecture but the quality of the bedrooms themselves is less than hoped for. Staff are not very helpful. The cost of accomodation, food and drinks is exhorbitant e.g. sunday brunch is advertised at 82 Euros each. October 11, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by convenient location is excellent for visitors. very classical interior and most of rooms are nice viewed. however, I somtimes feel not enough service comparing to another Intercontinental hotels maybe because of too huge per # of staffs. October 11, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Memorable stay The hotel itself is a great exploration. With few step's adjacent to opera and Lafayette, I could also walk to most tourist's site. I was also upgraded to a opera view suite. The in room amenities are so full in category, champaign, juice, water, macaron. Thanks for being so generous always to royal ambassador. October 9, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by perfect service in an historic setting Although this is a very big hotel, you get a personal service. The setting is magnificent, the Café de la Paix is an historical place where it is fine to have breakfast or dinner. Our junior suite was spacious with an excellent bed. October 9, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Kindness of staff, luxury decoration, we feel really in Paris Attending to Le Grand already several times, we come back this time to "our " same room 4123. Excellency in every detail, special remark to Mr Ricardo, in charge of the restaurant, who memorized it would be my birthday and prepared a nice surprise for breakfast. October 8, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Le Grand = bien The Bellman and the concierge were very helpful even after we had left. We had a luggage issue with our airline and the staff at the Intercontinental was wonderful in assisting us. October 7, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good but not ideal Dear InterConti, Mu spouse had a birthday on the date of arrival in the hotel and I mentioned it on the check in, but no reaction from the front desk was noticed. After mentioning again, we were greeted with a small cake in the room. I bit too less for the quality of the hotel. Thanks October 7, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by the best hotel ever every thing is amazing...i had the best Spencerian in my life with my wife... many thanks October 1, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Luxurious hotel If comfort , luxury and safety are what you are looking for in Paris then this is a great place to stay. It is centrally located to the Opera Garnier and shopping at Printemp. It is also close to the metro and Saint Lazare train. September 25, 2014
