I was even offered water when I didn't realize I was so caught up with work that I forgot to drink water. Lou has been extra sensitive to my welfare and is valuable to InterContinental Phnom Penh. 04 May 2014

Dining quality and service also excellent: much better than normally found at a hotel. The rooms and corridors could do with some rejuvenating, while the lobby and lounges are elegant and warm. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ideal place to stay in Phnom Penh Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a spacious and very comfortable executive floor room. The service was outstanding, with attentive staff making an effort to address us by name. The Club is quite small compared to others in the IC Group, however the food and service provided is excellent! The location, although not scenic, is very good, as access to most tourist destinations is relatively easy (depending, of course, on traffic). We spent a few nights travelling for leisure, and found the IC PP to be a real haven after wonderful and exciting day trips around Phnom Penh. We will definitely be back! 08 February 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Welcoming atmosphere I stayed at the Intercontinental Phnom Penh in November 2013. It was a very memorable experience. I felt very welcome from the moment I arrived till my departure. The staff were very knowledgeable and helped me plan tours and places to shop, they were helpful and extremely friendly. I will have no hesitation staying at this Hotel again. It is in a very central and convenient location. Oh yes the food, delicious! 24 December 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 Worst service ever at an intercontinental Had the worst experience during check-in. Being an IT consultant the last 13 years I had my fair share of hotel stays and this has to rank right up there as being one of the most unpleasant trip. During check-in staff insist that an additional charge of $20 per night is levied because the booking was made for 1 person but 2 person turned up (my father came along during my last biz trip). After much objection and my demonstration of a booking on the IHG website showing that regardless of 1 or 2 persons the rate on the website is the same the clerk managed to offer the pathetic excuse that if they didn't charge the extra US20 they would charge the normal breakfast rate of US27 if we have take breakfast because the room only include 1 breakfast. I then told him that I don't need breakfast and he started to mumble some other excuses. After seeing that I'm clearly unhappy and refuse to accept he "offer" to check us in first and then have the manager to call to clarify. Which never happened. As my father only stayed for 2 nights we went to check him out and I again enquire the status of the rate as the manager never called. I was told again the same story. I then proceed to talk to the manager and again explained that of my 13 years of travel I've never encountered such policy but sadly the manager was just as tackful as the check in clerk at handling the matter saying that's the hotel policy even before it joined the IHG group. The only saving grace was the check out clerk was much more pleasant however it's unlikely to change my decision to switch for upcoming trip in December. Totally disappointing for a "InterContinental". 30 October 2013

Having travelled over 3 months in the past twelve, this hotel stands out in my travel experiences. They always treat me like a king and I'll definitely be back. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Fabulous Hotel, Horrible Internet I have stayed at the Intercontinental Phnom Penh several times over the years. It is a bit out of the way for some but I like the location and it has several good restaurants within walking distance. The staff at the hotel are top notch. They are professional and courteous and go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. The breakfast buffet is excellent. It is really one of my favorites and I travel and live in hotels nearly 350 nights a year. I love this buffet. If you stay here, book the rate with breakfast included. The pool is nice and the gym has everything you need. Like I said, it is not near the tourist attractions or the river front but I don't mind a taxi ride or Tuk Tuk ride. If you take a Tuk Tuk, you can go anywhere for about 4USD. The concierge staff is wonderful as is the front desk staff. I especially enjoyed the morning breakfast buffet staff as they were constantly making sure I had everything I wanted and was comfortable. The staff really is top notch. While all the things I said about the hotel are true, the flaw for the hotel is the Internet. It is horrendous. At times not even as fast as my AOL dialup connection in 1990. The max speed of the Internet is 1M up and 1M down. That in itself is slow but it was never that fast. I had to call for assistance several times as the speed was around 0.09M. In other words, it was impossible to go from one page to another. It was interesting that I was told on the phone that I had free Internet and it was capped. I get free Internet as I am a Royal Platinum Ambassador and I should get the same speed as everything else that is paying. 2 things: 1. If they cap the free users (Priority Club Members) then they can't call it free wifi. They must be willing to call it what it is: Minimum Internet Searches with Zero Ability to do Work. :) 2. If the speed is not different for other users, then shame on them as well. There is no way that a hotel this size can not have decent Internet. I have stayed in hotels in several cities in Cambodia and all had faster Internet. Therefore, they either capped me as I was getting Platinum Free Internet or the entire hotel Internet stinks. In either case, it needs to be resolves as you can't call yourself a business hotel and have this poor Internet. As a Royal Ambassador I was upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite. It had a bad view but that didn't matter to me as I am always just happy with the upgrade. Room service and the restaurants located in the hotel are excellent. 27 September 2013

Everythng was very good, except that when front desk asked for my membership number during check-in, I didn't have that handy so they wanted my address on file and said that they woud confirm the points added. Well, I never got any response, and still haven't received my points yet. But I will send you guys a separate email with my membership number and other relevant info a little later. 26 August 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by A good place to return to The Intercontinental is a safe place and offer a good service with a comfortable feel and the air of class. Rooms are standard quality and show a bit of wear here and there, as does the exterior of the Hotel. Local transportation is easy to get and staff are very helpful and know their territory. The Hotel has a lovely swimming pool for a relaxing stay and swim. The breakfast buffet is sumptuous and provides something for any taste. Staff are quiet, efficient and know their work to give guests a feeling of a full rounded service. Overall a good place and definitely recommendable. 18 August 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by transport and in room lighting greaat hotel and great service, but really needs an upgrading of lighting system or add more lights in the rooms , far to dark. Aslo the policy for offering transportation to the central area,has been greaty increased as not many taxi,s and only alternative is the local tutu service, but the prices for using an hotel car for evenings is now far to expensive 15$-20$ just for a few mins to get to central so now never keep the car to wait, so seems hotel has takeen advantage to increase a lot the transportation costs as limited alternatives, reason I write this about transport as may now change hotel to a more centrally located hotel and i used to use your cars frquently but has pushed up my stay cost to un exceptable 21 July 2013
