Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 28 February 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Value, Clean and Good Location Good Value, Clean and Good Location. Used for business oftern as it's in a convienient location and in a very nice part of the city near the river. Good value for money and the food is excellent. Friendly and helpful staff. Some rooms may be due some attention to carpets, furniture and decor to freshen them up and the bar can be a bit smokey if you are not a smoker but other than that, the hotel ticks all the boxes for a good night sleep, cleanliness and a good breakfast and many other facilities on offer if you have time such as a gym, pool and very nice food for dinner. 24 February 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great location and confort in beatiful city The hotel and service was excellent. Only a little disappointed with the intercontinental club. The food was terrible and the staff barely acknowledge that we were there. 20 February 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Staff attitude made the difference Arrived after a 4 hours drive from a city and long flight from USA. Forgot to secure extra room. However the staff accomodate with confidence for extra room. Business meeting in Lounge cancelled due faulty projector. Another meeting room was made available. I really appreciate the good staff at the Business Club Lounge in meeting our needs and contingency plan she did to a success. Other staff is the reflection of her traits. 19 February 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by nice Hotel in beautiful town The hotel ist super located at the river with view to the castle. There is a very nice spa with a pool in the hotel. I like the bathroom with the marmor slabs and the shower. The parking fee for the garage should be included in a higher price und not separate. 12 February 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic location The first thing I can say about this hotel is the location, stunning especially if you manage to get a river view (note you won't actually be on the river but you can see it!) Local attractions are minutes by foot or public transport (buy a day ticket from the concierge for about £3 for 24 hours which includes all public transport). When we arrived at the airport the limousine driver was waiting for us in the arrivals hall and whisked us straight to the hotel. I have to say that this was well worth the money as it was late and snowing therefore the opportunity to not have to flag taxis etc was great. Upon arriving at the hotel the check-in was a little strange. We asked if we could upgrade to the Club Lounge but the assistant was a little shocked and was somewhat reluctant telling us that it was 45EUR per night. I said that was fine but he was still reluctant to issue access. When he did he said that he recommended using the ground floor restaurant for breakfast rather than the lounge, again strange. The room was large (thanks for the upgrade) with everything we needed for the three night stay, usual Ambassador privileges awaited us (water, fruit, gift etc). TV was a little difficult to operate but think that was just batteries. The nights sleep was really poor though as the bed was at an angle to the wall and no headboard therefore all night the pillows, which were not the most comfortable anyway, kept slipping behind the top of the bed. All three nights were like this and I could feel myself becoming more tired as the trip went on. I would strongly recommend requesting a room with a 'square to the wall' bed if you choose to stay here! Leisure facilities were excellent along with a fully equipped gym was a good sized pool and the usual extras that come with a spa. Wi-Fi was poor and unable to connect most of the time anywhere throughout the hotel. Lounge was well worth the money although we found it to be empty most of the time probably because they were reluctant to sell an upgrade to anyone, maybe it is reserved for RA's only. The food on offer was good however we went downstairs for breakfast to the main restaurant and found it to be much better in terms of choice. Overall I would love to return to the hotel but will be aware next time of the problems with the bed, a relaxing break with very little sleep was not good and chances are that due to the exhaustion I was unable to fully appreciate the full experience that the hotel had to offer. 11 February 2015
