Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Comfortable but old
The room is comfortable but the design and furniture are towards the old fashion and design. Some might enjoy it some don't.
Staff are adequately trained but I expected more in a 5 star hotel. All staff are friendly but most have problem converse in English.

I had a wonderful stay at the intercontinental Riyadh. the rooms were fabulous and the staff really helpful and friendly. In particular Mr. Faheem at the check in desk helped me with my booking and gave good information on the rewards scheme.
I wish Intercontinental Riyadh more success and a bright future.

I have been for many years admiring the staff services with their pleasant smile. I always consider this hotel as my second home.
I always appreciate the continued cooperation and assistance of the Management and special thanks to all staff at reception and butlers and other staff who have been pleasant in their services.
Best of Luck to all who made me loyal all the time to this hotel.

I am a platinum & ambassador member and made my reservations
personally in the official Intercont. site. Surprisingly,when I came to check in the first hotel receptionist told me you have no reservation !!! Then another person came and gave the same reply, despite that i gave them the spelling of my name in both Arabic and English.Then I gave them my Priority Club #,and they found my reservation???
Then came another issue, I reserved a superior room,but they insisted that it was a standard room. I became very upset , and after checking
by a third person he told me i was right and apologized & gave me the upgrade i was entitled. Under all of this mess and very long delay i wanted to verify that breakfast was included. I was more than shocked to told NO. Again when I insisted that I made it included when making the reservation, they checked and told me yes u r right !!??
All of this reflects a great mess & poor training and management.
After about 30 minutes i went down to see the exhibition of a major conference to be held next morning.I asked the reception about the location ( King Faisal Hall inside the hotel) ,so i took my car to go to gate 6, where he told me. To my surprise, it was a totally different event ( ladies only event ) ?? So I asked the security man about the hall of our conference. His answer was more than shocking,he said there was no such conference at the hotel . When it old him that the signs of the conference were displayed the hotel,s lobby,he said i swear there is non !! I asked him please ask security manager so i don't have to go from gate to gate. He shouted at me that he will not do anything and if i need his manager i can go to him . He was very impolite and not helpful.His name is Salim. So i drove back to the lobby and asked the same Filipino receptionist why he gave me the wrong directions, he simply said he made a mistake, with no sincere apology!!??
Housekeeping is another weakness in the hotel. After checking in
my room, i went to the toilet- which is supposed to be very clean-
but found a lady's hair clip on the floor !!! I decided to leave it there.
To my surprise, next day and the day after, that is 2 consecutive
days, housekeeping came and did my room and the hair clip was
still on the floor. This clearly means that they did not mop the toilet
floor. Furthermore, they never vacuumed my room until i complained on my last day.
