Everything was just perfect.
The staff is very friendly and professional. Everybody takes such good care of the guests. The hotel has a welcoming flair and everything you to relax.
A big plus is that the spa and gym is open 24 hrs.

I recommend Interconental Riyadh, Saudi Arabia due to below positive aspects:
- Very nice and good Breakfast
- Very nice Lounge
- Kind and helpful Staff
- Kind, very helpful and supportive Guest Relationship Manager
- Overall Lounge, Breakfast and Reception stafff good, helful and kind
- Very nice Outdoor Swimming Pool
- Nice Gym
- Nice Sqush Court
- Nice cooled rooms the basement floor
- Good Reward IHG Points for Ambassador
The rate may be higher than other hotel but if it's in your budget take this hotel to any other.

I only stayed for 2 days and I am glad: As a woman, my possibilities of having a fun time in Riyadh were quite limited. Unfortunately, there are no recreation offers especialy for women in the Intercontinental Hotel, so I spent most of the time in my room, which was large and comfortable (complimentary tea and coffee), but the bathroom was tight though. also the toilet cover was defect, which was quite annoying.
I ordered breakfast and lunch via room service and it both was really expensive, but had 7eleven-quality...

Great service from the Front Office and Club staff make my weekends working in Riyadh a bit easier to take.
My only complaint was the noise from the pantry next door, however the team noted to assign me a quieter room next stay.

Very comfortable and elegant hotel. The room was huge. Staff were very courteous and could converse in english. Good room service. Good food . Plenty of complementary tea and coffee in the room . Good overall experience and had a pleasant stay. I would strongly recommend the hotel to any body. Although the price is a little steep. Hotel has nice facilities like golf course but my stay was not long enough to enjoy them. Hotel is well known in the city and easily accessible

Great staff, fast service, and the facilities were outstanding. The only area that was a little outdated was the gym. The hotel is large enough to roam around without feeling closed in and plenty of areas to enjoy the view of the hotel or the roof top view the the city. Great for both family and business.

I continue to be impressed by the Front Office team each and every time I check in. Each and every team member seems to go out of their way to service their guests and clearly the team have a good leader.
My room is always as requested, super quiet and a great place to work. The team leave me little touches to help me feel appreciated and I always am guaranteed of a good nights sleep now when in Riyadh.
The gym is good and for an older hotel I am surprised how well it has been maintained. Better than several sister hotels I have stayed in recently.
My only complaints are that the pool needs a face lift and the team need to have fresh OJ I the Club Lounge please!

This hotel is well below other Intercontinental standards.
Staff is not really oriented towards clients requests and does not hesitate to lie in order to shorten requests. In this hotel, it seems like clients are bothering the staff...
Rooms are OK but not great and some bathrooms are in poor condition, even in the renovated area.
Internet network is extremely slow, and unstable.

This stay was not on par with usual standards. Let down by rude staff in the club lounge. i let my concerns be known to the guest relations manager- he promised to look into and get back to me but nothing materialised. Avoid the 6th floor- smelt of smoke and was extremely hot. Tv reception was terrible.

I have been in this hotel more than 10 days while I'm a Royal Platinum Ambassador Member and I found all the High level Staff ( Spicily Management Level start from this hotel G.M till the Duty Managers # were not know how they dealing with guest like me as VIP and had a Royal Platinum Ambassador Member Card and I did met and talk to all of them and spicily the G.M. of the Hotel # Mr. Taraq # and I tried to explain to him who I am and what the service and room did I found and got , but he never ever did anything to me to make my stay so comfortable and made me happy to return back again to this hotel.
Really, when I compare this hotel among other InterContinental hotels inside my country # Saudi Arabia # is hotel was the worst one among of them and really I felt upset and I will never ever recommend that hotel to any one from my side or either my friends and this hotel price so high among other hotel in my country , but so lower and bad quality .
As I know when any hotel increase the room price more than before , then he MOST increase also the quality of the service and given more excellent service for all the section inside the hotel for any guest and specially the Members who carried high level member card like me # Royal Platinum Ambassador Card #.
Honestly, everything inside this hotel are so bad and lower than what I except it from them when I compare it with other InterContinental Hotels which I have been stayed on them in other cities and countries.
Really, No body can I appreciated him in this hotel and I will never ever recommend this hotel to any one and I will never ever return back to it while there are more than a 100 hotels 5 stars inside this city # Riyadh City ) in Saudi Arabia.

I had a good time while checking in and stay at your hotel. The check-out process was handled badly by one of your trainee staff at reception. Being a Intercontinental Platinum Ambassador I enquired about the ambassador welcome gift that you normally provide in the room. The reception staff replied back that it should have been made available in the room. But when I told him that there was no welcome gift in the room, he told me to wait for some time to get me the gift. He came back after sometime asking me unpolitely to wait for some more time eventhough he was aware that my limosine to airport was waiting. Ultimately I had to leave the hotel without ambassador welcome gift.

Hotel looks beautiful from the outside, but when you enter your room, it looks worn out and not clean.
Being a platinum member has no value in this hotel, upgrades not applicable on this level, they come up with an ambassador status and they want to change you for it. only the internet in complementary.
The manager from the a la carte restaurant is a rude person, he managed to get me out of his restaurant within the hour rushing. Not serving me the bread etc, i could hear him shouting at his waiter NOT to bring me the bread!
Please get out of your ivory tower, or do you treat guests spending lots of money different?
The Holiday inn Riyadh has a higher service standard then this hotel.

I am a Priority Club Platinum Elite. So I was surprised to find the room I was assigned to be a room in the basement with no view. There was no window on the bedroom side. The window near the sitting area was blocked by a shrub. I am not sure what I got for being Platinum. The staff (including the cleaning staff) was very helpful however.
The location of the hotel was not convenient for me. There is nothing in the walking distance. It was far from my place of business. I am coming to Riyadh next month but most probably won't be staying here.

I have stayed here a number of times over the past 8 years, and its a good hotel, especially in the Club wing. The recent refurbishment has also improved the general feel.
The consistently bad thing about this hotel however - which is why I cannot recommend it - is the car desk. Why the hotel persists with Abu Diyab I will never understand. Yes, there is a new fleet of cars. However, if you can never book one because they never have enough available, then frankly it could be a Rolls Royce but would still be irrelevant.
Added to the lack of availability, is that even cars that you do manage to book with them do not show up. When that is for an early morning drive to Al Khobar for an important meeting, it leaves you tearing your hair out and is a very bad omen for Intercontinental's brand and image.
It is a shame; as above this is a good hotel. Why they let a third party bring down the overall experience and quality is beyond understanding.

No need to mention that the Riyadh Intercontinental hotel is the best in class in the city. I've enjoyed there a great experience stay. The hotel staff is always there to help you with any issues and they solve them very quickly. The place to stay in the city.

I stayed at this hotel the first time in October 1993. Saudi culture is very hospitality oriented so you will generally find hotels in Riyadh to be welcoming, I keep coming back here (now my 20th year) because there is a special effort by all levels of the staff, from the shoe shine to the general manager.
I have tried another hotel, which shall remain nameless, and, while it was satisfactory, I am not going to go anywhere else in RIyadh. I also like this hotel because it has a more "Saudi" feel to it than others which seem more "international". It may seem a small difference, but to me it is not.
I recommend this hotel more by my deeds (it is where I stay) than words though I highly recommend the Intercontinental (and I don't even play golf.)
