Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Good staff but tired property A good location, especially for the Ministries, but in need of renovation now in the rooms. Staff are friendly and helpful. Expensive for what it is at the moment, worth considering when the room upgrade program has been completed. 16 December 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great bed, small bathroom The property itself is excellent, but the Junior Suite I stayed in had 2 adjoining rooms and a lot of noise came in from one of the neighbouring suites. I had a 3:45am start next morning for an early flight so by 2 am had to call security to get the neighbours to lower the volume of the Arabic music. The toilet was small; not befitting an Intercon property. The club lounge was nice - not enough tables outside and not enough English reading material - but food was ok. 14 December 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very good Hotel - The Riad Interconti ist a very delightful designed Hotel. With an Homefeeling ambient. Well educated staff, finding solutions, and solving problems. The only missing is for somebody who is living in the Westerly World a glass of Rid Wine! Everything else is perfect provided. I will be happy to join the Hotel on my next Trip. 12 December 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Comfortable but old The room is comfortable but the design and furniture are towards the old fashion and design. Some might enjoy it some don't. Staff are adequately trained but I expected more in a 5 star hotel. All staff are friendly but most have problem converse in English. 30 November 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Stay at Riyadh I had a wonderful stay at the intercontinental Riyadh. the rooms were fabulous and the staff really helpful and friendly. In particular Mr. Faheem at the check in desk helped me with my booking and gave good information on the rewards scheme. I wish Intercontinental Riyadh more success and a bright future. 23 November 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Poor management & clear lack of training I am a platinum & ambassador member and made my reservations personally in the official Intercont. site. Surprisingly,when I came to check in the first hotel receptionist told me you have no reservation !!! Then another person came and gave the same reply, despite that i gave them the spelling of my name in both Arabic and English.Then I gave them my Priority Club #,and they found my reservation??? Then came another issue, I reserved a superior room,but they insisted that it was a standard room. I became very upset , and after checking by a third person he told me i was right and apologized & gave me the upgrade i was entitled. Under all of this mess and very long delay i wanted to verify that breakfast was included. I was more than shocked to told NO. Again when I insisted that I made it included when making the reservation, they checked and told me yes u r right !!?? All of this reflects a great mess & poor training and management. After about 30 minutes i went down to see the exhibition of a major conference to be held next morning.I asked the reception about the location ( King Faisal Hall inside the hotel) ,so i took my car to go to gate 6, where he told me. To my surprise, it was a totally different event ( ladies only event ) ?? So I asked the security man about the hall of our conference. His answer was more than shocking,he said there was no such conference at the hotel . When it old him that the signs of the conference were displayed the hotel,s lobby,he said i swear there is non !! I asked him please ask security manager so i don't have to go from gate to gate. He shouted at me that he will not do anything and if i need his manager i can go to him . He was very impolite and not helpful.His name is Salim. So i drove back to the lobby and asked the same Filipino receptionist why he gave me the wrong directions, he simply said he made a mistake, with no sincere apology!!?? Housekeeping is another weakness in the hotel. After checking in my room, i went to the toilet- which is supposed to be very clean- but found a lady's hair clip on the floor !!! I decided to leave it there. To my surprise, next day and the day after, that is 2 consecutive days, housekeeping came and did my room and the hair clip was still on the floor. This clearly means that they did not mop the toilet floor. Furthermore, they never vacuumed my room until i complained on my last day. 17 November 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor service I had to call consierge when outside the hotel to arrange somethings for me and my experience was horrible. First of all, I had to be waiting at the phonoe for more than 3 minutes each call. After, I was redirected to somebody that was not the actual consierge. Even one time they said There was not consierge on duty!!!!! Amazing in a 4/5 star hotel. !!!! the final end was when with one of those guys that answered as bening a consierge, I did a reservation for a car to take me to the airport the last day of stage, that was confirmed by this same guy. When I got to the lobby the last day to pick my car, no reservation had been done. I had to wait for my car till the issue was solved. I spoke with the manager at that time and told him I was going to put a complaint. I think this is not fair in a hotel of this quality. The rest at the hotel was good to excelent, but all masked by the poor to very bad service. 06 November 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by IHG in Riyadh stay The entire hotel stay was excellent! The reception desk personnel were outstanding! They all were extremely knowledgeable of every situation and question that arose! Breakfast was excellent every morning and so was the staff that worked in that area. I signed up for the Ambassador Club while staying in Riyadh. Every evening the hotel had a very nice selection of food including deserts. Everything about the hotel is excellent. Extremely clean and very quiet. Very nice stay overall. I recommend this hotel to everyone! Thank you 23 October 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Outstanding Staff As always my stay in the hotel was great. The staff from check in to departure was great. My work partner left his cell phone in the club lounge when we departed for the airport. We noticed it once we arrived at Riyadh airport. I called the club lounge they located and between them and the concierge found a driver to bring his phone to him while we were checking out baggage at the airport. We did not have enough time to drive back to the hotel. The staff went ABOVE and BEYOND and he was able to get his phone in plenty of time before our flight departed. The swift action of your staff in the club and concierge and all involved was very impressive. That kind of service is what I have come to expect from staying at Intercon's worldwide and the main reason I loyal to your company. thank you, 22 October 2013

The fitness center is excellent which would encourage me to book again in the hotel. The breafast is generous and the service is good as well. The problem is the bathroom which is old and need serious renovation. I hope this would be done soon. 14 October 2013
