Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel close to Chicago O'Hara airport This is my first time to check in this hotel. When I arrived at hotel during snowy day, I was upgraded to a junior suite. Ambassador treat was at my room and everything was what I expected. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Reception lady provided detailed information of this hotel, restaurants and close-by shipping center. Lobby was nicely decorated with artist showcase. Food was excellent at nearby Restaurant. I will stay at the same hotel during my next trip. Thank you very much. 21 February 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by far below expectation of a IC property I stayed at IC Chicago O'Hare Feb 08 to Feb 09 one night for an overnight connection at ORD airport. Checked in midnight Feb 08, no upgrade but fine, I just want a nice bed and have a good rest for my connecting flight to Shanghai. So I headed to my room just want to get a good sleep. But bang! The bed sheet was full of dark-colored wool or cashmere or some sort of fibers I could not tell, it was not very noticeable at a glance, but if you look closer, there are thousands of them everywhere both in the bed and more on the sheet. I was shocked, and called the concierge. I was then given a different room with a clean bed. I'm seriously wondering if the house keeping have cleaned the previous room at all. Checked out at 8:30am next day (Feb 09) for my 10:00am flight to Shanghai, and I checked online for my hotel bill today (which I usually don't do it since I always trust a IC hotel), but surprise surprise! I was charged a Beverage at the refreshment center on Feb 09 (I believe by that time I was already checked out and above Pacific Ocean). That's really and 'Memorable Experience' and far below my expectations of a IC property. 20 February 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The best O/Hare hotel you'll find I've stayed at plenty of O'Hare-area hotels over the years, and some are quite good (the Westin comes to mind.) However, the Intercontinental Hotel O'Hare--hands down--is the the most elegant and comfortable property in the vicinity. Staff are incredibly welcoming, the sleeping room I had was 5-star quality, and the restaurant selections on-site are outstanding. There's even an art gallery in the lobby! On top of that, the hotel is adjacent to the new Fashion Center Mall (or a name something like that) which has a HUGE array of high-end stores. Lastly, even the ride to/from O'Hare is outstanding--the seats is the van are plush leather. If you get the chance, stay at this hotel--you won't be disappointed. 15 February 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by 2 Issues Issue #1: It took me 5 calls to get my bill from your hotel and to get it right. When I checked in and when I checked out, no one ever told me the room charges were being directed billed to the Society of Actuaries (I was at your hotel to attend their board meeting). This type of billing is sometimes arranged, and if so, the staff at the front desk will mention it at check-in. So, not knowing the billing arrangement, I asked for a copy of my bill when I checked out, for expense purposes. But, I was told your hotel was having its system updated and a receipt would have to be e-mailed to me - I should receive it in a few hours. I did not receive it, so I called when I got home (about 12 hours later) and the person at the front desk said the system was still updating. I called again the next morning, and the same story. I called a third time that afternoon, and the bill was e-mailed promptly, but reflected a bottle of Chardonnay, a Coke, and a bottled water. I had only drank a bottled water. I did not drink a bottle of Chardonnay, nor a Coke, so the front desk staff said I needed to talk to someone in accounting to get this fixed. I was transferred, transferred again, and then no one ever picked up. I called back again (this was call # 5), and they said they would take the 2 charges off my bill and send it again. I then received another bill and it is finally right. Of course, it wasn't until I saw a bill at all that I realized the room cost was already picked up, so I did all of this to ultimately get a bill of $5.47 correct. Issue # 2. When I found out that our meeting was at your hotel, I was dreading my stay. I have stayed at the hotel once before and all I remembered was how miserable the bathroom was. First, not having a door on the shower is drafty and impractical. Combine that with a rain shower that has never effectively rinsed any woman's hair, and I was only able to 'endure' my morning shower. Then, I was forced to fix my hair and put on make-up with only a small ledge as a shelf and hardly any lightening. Please design a bathroom that is less hip and more practical. I, and my female colleagues, will not willingly stay at your hotel again until that is done. 13 February 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Looks 10 -- Function 6 The entire hotel is visually stunning. However, functionality suffers for it. Two examples. The lighting in the room is such that there is no good place to relax and read. You can have one or the other, but not both. The rain shower is ever so artsy. Unfortunately, since the water only falls straight down, one can't get the most important body parts in the spray. Love the in-room Keurig coffee machine. This was my second visit to this property. The first time the maid service was perfect. This time there were a couple minor disconnects. 12 February 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great overnight We stayed at the hotel for one night. It was clean, comfortable, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I don't know we would stay there for an extended stay. It would depend on our purpose for being in Rosemont. Close to the entertainment district, walk to the Factory Outlet of Chicago (upscale outlet mall!). Highly recommend! 12 February 2014
