Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 944 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Overall, a yawn Iconic location. Ordinary bar. Staff very attentive and courteous, but the facility itself does not make the grade for overall value in my travel preferences 24 April 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Wonderful Staff We stayed here for 4 days . The location is the BEST ....close to cable car and wonderful views. We enjoy going to the Top of the Mark as it has a wonderful view. George is a very good bar tender. We didn't care for the poetry readings by the over the hill Hippies. Doesn't go with the class of the hotel and clients. Your cover charge is a bit much for guests staying in the hotel. 23 April 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Quick wedding weekend We were in town for a wedding, the bride and groom had reserved a block of rooms for guests at the Mark Hopkins. It was a quick trip but we really enjoyed ourselves. Having never been to San Francisco before the location was fantastic. We walked to the wharf, walked through China town, explored several of the restaurants that are near by. Being there for a wedding I needed 2 things - a manicure and clothes pressed. I contacted the concierge prior to check in and they were extremely helpful. The mani turned out great (the place they recommended was only 2 blocks away) and so did the clothes. The only downside to the hotel is that it's at the TOP of Nob Hill and that last block (depending on which direction you are coming from) can be brutal for an out of shape flat lander like me. But I sure did feel like I didn't need the gym after that long weekend. We would absolutely stay there again. 23 April 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful Hotel and staffs Had weekend getaway in San Francisco, and stayed in the history and landmark Mark Hopkins hotel was in my to do list when I saw it at my first visited SF. Staffs was very friendly and professional, and the hotel and room was very clean and comfortable, was had really good stayed, will stay here for my next visit indeed. 23 April 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Overnight Stay and Great Views We are locals (Pleasanton) and came in for a one night stay; had never stayed at the hotel before and it was definitely on the "to do" list. We enjoyed ourselves immensely. After changing rooms (the first assignment was next to the elevator), we had drinks at the Top of the Mark and the views were incredible--skies were crystal clear. After an evening out, we got a restful night's sleep--very quiet. Our only suggestion is that the breakfast at the hotel have options other than just buffet. For light eaters like us, not a good deal. 22 April 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Top-notch staff but our expectations fell short Nice room but small; disappointed in "Top of the Mark" -- expecting elegance & on entertainment nights it's basically a very loud nightclub that you can't even get into because it's so crowded. I think it's lost its charm. The hotel staff was outstanding, but I think we got a lower end room because we bought a vacation package -- did not have a nice view. 22 April 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location and Staff Our family recently stayed at this hotel during our trip to San Francisco. The staff was amazing and the hotel itself felt historic without being outdated. We had a great experience and look forward to staying at the hotel again during a future stay in San Francisco. 22 April 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by classic hotel, but comforts may vary We stayed at the MH Intercontinental to stay in a classic hotel, in a quintessential San Fran setting. Our experience was that the hotel was indeed grand, and the views were great. The staff was very nice. The mattress wasn't comfortable, but I suspect it was old. We've stayed in other Intercontinental hotels with great beds... so other rooms at the MH may be just fine. 21 April 2015
