Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 785 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Loud toilets While the upgrades to the toilets are great giving California's current drought, they are incredibly loud. Flushing int the middle of the night not only wakes up everyone in the room, but also in the rooms adjacent and below ones own. 25 December 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Rewards night Hotel had an upscale feel. Location especially during the Christmas season was great. I usually don't comment on what can be a sensitive issue but feel compelled to this time. While traveling overseas I expect difficulty communicating with staff. I do not expect that to be the case in my own country. The desk staff member spoke in an accent difficult to understand and spoke very fast. My wife didn't understand her any better than I did. My wife is a retired English teacher. We encountered language problems with the parking staff as well as at the Top of Mark. Overall I felt frustrated with the encounters. Now that I know what to expect I will adjust accordingly. 24 December 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Value Great hotel with old world classic charm. Close to Union Square. 24 December 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Avoid the Junior Suites As an Intercontinental Ambassador, I booked a King Executive suite and was upgraded to a Junior Suite. Great upgrade I thought, until I tried to sleep. All the Junior Suites wrap around the elevator shaft and have little to know insulation from the elevator equipment. I heard the elevators operate all night and did not get much sleep. For the 2nd night, I requested a room change and the person I spoke with hesitantly gave me a room upgrade to one of their bigger suites. That room was spectacular! If not for the Junior Suite issue, I would highly recommend the Mark Hopkins. 23 December 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by No Air, No Towels...Really? The air conditioning system did not work; the rom was hot and stuffy all night. Only 1 bath towel in the room and had to call twice to get additional towel. Not what I'd call a memorable hotel experience. We'll be staying elsewhere for out anniversary next year. 23 December 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great weekend and location Hotel met expectations except for the inabilty to use the courtesy town car 23 December 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very accommodating, quiet, and clean I stayed at the Mark Hopkins for a conference in mid-December 2014. The staff were very knowledgeable and accommodating and the hotel clean and inviting. I had a view of the bay on the 4th floor and it was very quiet. At my request, they promptly provided me with a mini-fridge in my room to store breastmilk. 20 December 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nob Hill Landmark Thoroughly enjoyed staying at this San Francisco Landmark Hotel. Convenient location to the California Cable line allows easy access to local restaurants and shopping that I frequent while in the city. 19 December 2014
