Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by 3 Stars due to poor Value Hotel was great and close to my conference. Value on the other hand is to be desired.... After paying over 4K for a 6 night stay, they have the audacity to charge an additional $ 65 dollars in internet fees, as if the room rate wasn't steep enough. Hotel has awful water pressure on all rooms ( comes in drips almost ) takes you twice as long to get ready in the morning. 02 September 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great location for Moscone events The IC is a great spot for Moscone events, but also quite close to the Market Street/Union Square shopping district. I love the property and Luce serves up a fantastic dinner. My only quibble is with the water pressure. The shower was fine, but the sink was pathetic; literally took 60 seconds or more just to fill the water glass. Also noticed that the toilet was very slow to fill. I understand California is suffering through an epic drought, but this was a little extreme. 31 August 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed. Service adequate. Disappointing Intercontinental. I have stayed at two other Intercontinentals, and this is by far my worst experience. There were gnats everywhere. The staff was disappointingly upset when we asked for hotel transport within two miles of the hotel. At other hotels, the service was fantastic. They comped some of the hotel services in compensation, but I will seriously give a second thought to staying at this chain after this experience. 29 August 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by staff needs training without going into a lot of detail, we have stayed at this property before with little or no issues but this time was not so good! the staff was poorly trained, not responsive and when they were it was not the way someone would expect to receive in a hotel such as this one! there are far too many properties in SF that are 5 star to have to deal with poor service.. and although hotel status should not be a factor in customer service I am a royal ambassador with the IHG and was really disappointed! 29 August 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A convention center hotel Property, cleanliness, staff, comfort were all very good, and location was convenient to everything I needed. However, I wanted a 4-star hotel experience and did not get it: the feel was more like a convention center hotel. Since I was not attending a conference, but was instead in SF for the first time and on a family vacation, I was disappointed. I wanted to be wowed by a 4-star hotel and was not. Next time I won't bother to book a 4-star, or I will stay at another one in the area. 29 August 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great experience! Definitely splurge for the club access rooms - the views are gorgeous on the top floors, with a very spacious bathroom. The separate shower and tub were equally enormous. Also, the club lounge food and drinks are fantastic. Can't recommend the experience more highly! 27 August 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Consistently high quality As ever, the Intercontinental inSan Francico is a good place to overnight if you want a good night's sleep and access to good restaurants and shopping nearby. BART, with direct access to the airport is also nearby. Service is consistently high here and they do recognise their Platinum members although I did have housekeeping try to deliver a fruit bowl and complimentary water when the DND sign was showing- a bit irksome but the thought was good! Check in and check out was efficient as always. 22 August 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 I wish I didnt even use my free night...what a shame! I was very excited to being staying at this property. Upon arrival I was greeted and check right in. When I arrived to my room I opened the door to strong smell. A combination of musk, body odor, and what I think was smoke. The design of the over all room was left to be desired. My windows were right on a balcony however my windows did not open so I was not able to access the balcony I was just teased by it. When I checked in with my service dog the employee asked me if I would like a dog amenity kit which I replied "yes". After waiting in my room for 45 minutes I finally called and canceled that request as I was late for my dinner reservations. Overall my experience was not that pleasant. I would defiantly try other hotels before returning. And even though my night was free and I knew I would be paying the exorbitant amount for valet parking. I see on my credit card that I was over charged for something. So now I need to call and dispute the transaction, what a headache. 21 August 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Outstanding staff and faciltiies, but querky temperature control My excellent first impression of the hotel was confirmed when I returned the next morning after a long run and the concierge greeted me with a bottle of water!! The pool and gym facilities are outstanding, especially the lap pool. My only issue was with the A/C in the room. I don't know if it was malfunctioning or if it had to do with the "green" settings, but it kept shutting off and not turning back on, which made room warm. Once I readjusted the temperature, it worked fine, but then it would shut off again. 20 August 2014

Check in was easy and we loved the view of the room we got from a higher floor and the facilities of the Club Lounge made the stay exceptional. 20 August 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Summer in San Fransico We had a family break on the West Coast that was made special when we stayed at the Intercon. The staff were fantastic, really making efforts to remember each if us on every interaction and especially the concierge service wheich made every query easy and found solutions for us every time. I would strongly recommend this hotel for any one visiting San Fransicso 18 August 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent experience and service While my main reason for staying was for a conference in the city, my partner came along and we made a small get-a-away in the trip. I always stay at Intercontinentials when I can and this was my third stay at this property. Absolutely excellent experience - fantastic corner room overlooking SF and top notch service including the valet parking. Well trained and attentive staff. The design and feeling is modern and crisp. This is not the least expensive hotel in the area by any means but well worth the rates. 16 August 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 4 day conference stay Everything about the IC in SF near the conference center is fine. There was no one thing which exceeded my expectations above a similarly priced competitive hotel. The hotel is high enough, and well located enough, that you will have a nice view out the window, no matter which side you are on. If you are attending a conference at the Moscone center, this is a great property. If you are visiting the city, it is fine, but for tourist activity I would check out the location of the other IC a few blocks on the other side of Market. However, if your plans including seeing a baseball game, this could be a top choice, as it was also an easy walk (~20 min) to AT 15 August 2014

This was the end of a family vacation and we spent 3 great nights at the hotel. Any request was dealt with promptly and it will be my pleasure to stay here again. 14 August 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Oasis in the city We had a wonderful experience for our first stay here. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and offered to have milk and cookies sent to the room for the kids. The concierge have us excellent dining recommendations . My daughter is on the school swim team and she utilized the lap pool to get a work out in. I would definitely stay here again 13 August 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bed - Mattress and pillows We can only safely presume that the property, Intercontinental Hotel at Howard Street, San Francisco, California, has never made any efforts to replace its mattress and pillows in the Suite 3222 that we stayed at. Mattress is so soft and it "sinks" in. We asked for exchange a new mattress or flip over the mattress. Nothing was done except told us that the housekeeping already put a piece of hard wood underneath the mattress. All of the pillows were incredibly soft or old. One could only believe that these pillows have never been changed or sanitized properly. I sincerely hope and pray that these two major items could be improved on our next visit. 12 August 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Outstanding Corner Suite This was my first experience with this hotel. I joined the Ambassador Program and they really did upgrade me! I never saw their regular rooms, but we were upgraded to a corner suite and it was the best! I look forward to staying with them in the future. 10 August 2014
