Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by too much noise To whom this may concern, the hotel is no doubt a great hotel and my 5 nights stay could have been great if only staff at reception would listen to the customer and try to accommodate very simple requests. Upon arrival, i asked for a quiet room , no matter where it would be located. I got a room street side allowing me to hear every car, sirens , trucks and every other noise. I came from Germany to assist the ATPS conference and all I wanted was a quiet room. Nothing else. On the third night, I was awoken at 2AM by a drilling machine. I called reception who sent security to check where the noise came from. I was told a day later that construction took place in the 5th floor but since the concrete floors were so deep, I should not have been able to hear the drills...well I did and quite loudly. Why would anyone think that drilling and construction work at night would possibly be noiseless? End of the story, I checked in a fantastic hotel but sleep was a nightmare. brgds P.C 08 December 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A fine hotel but location could be better I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights on business travel. It is an excellent hotel for comfort and amenities, particularly if you are an IHG member. My room was fairly spacious and offered modern plumbing and decor. I was also given a quiet room, away from the elevator, which was much appreciated. As a frequent traveler, I would appreciate two additional things: 1) a free or low-cost bottle of water upon check-in (the bottled water in the room is $8.00, which is extraordinarily expensive); and 2) free coffee in the lobby during morning hours. This is especially important since the hotel is a few blocks away from the stores on Market Street. 06 December 2014

This hotel is very nice and modern. Excellent restaurant. We used The Intercontinental Lounge very frequently, and the staff is very friendly. 03 December 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Superb Hotel / Staff / Location My stay at the Intercontinental SF Nov 21 - 30th was just marvelous. My room was spacious, clean, the bed was super comfortable, and there was a wonderful view to top it off! The only minor problem I had with a defective refrigerator was remedied right away and a new one was brought to my room. The concierge and staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful with directions and recommendations in the city. Thank you ICSF! 03 December 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Staff Makes Stay Memorable Well located in the SOMA district of San Francisco, this hotel provides excellent facilities but the prime reason we continue to return is the caring, knowledgeable and friendly staff. From the greeting of the doorman, through the desk check in, to the housekeepers, to the concierge, to the wait staff at the bar and club, and to the valets the service is outstanding. Your are treated with great care and interest. We will return again when we seek a refreshing vacation that we want to remember. 02 December 2014

Even I ask the concierge for the alcatraz ticket during the thanksgiving, the hotel able to find it for me. Also, the hotel have Bloomingdales 15% off ticket that was awesome. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great view and nice people at front desk Great stay. Some strange sounds we're coming from either the other guests getting up or from the plumbing. I was awakened by it two times and told management. The room service was great and the room very nice. I ate my first meal (dinner) in the hotel and it was good but definitely overpriced for the amount of food. I would not recommend the restaraunt to guests of the hotel. 25 November 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful staff & great accommodations I stayed at and the Intercontinental from Monday, Nov. 17th - Wednesday, Nov. 19th, 2014. Upon arrival the staff was very helpful, polite, and friendly. The property was very neat and clean from the front door all the way up to my room, located on the 17th floor. The room was very nice and the bed was super comfy. I'm not sure what thread count sheets are on the bed, but OMG I need them in my life. :-) The front desk staff was very helpful when asked for directions and even offered to print out my boarding pass for my flight. I would definitely recommend this property to friends and family and this will definitely be my "go to" hotel when in San Fran. 24 November 2014

I choose the hotel for price and location as well as the Intercontinental name. The highlight of my stay was my 28th floor corner room with floor to ceiling glass. The views were spectacular. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by overalls was good except cleaning services I really do enjoy the staying at intercontinental sf... front desk, in room dining, and 6 floor lounge area staff are great... I really dislike the cleaning services crew... I normally take advantage of late check out... My guess room cleaning staff probably don't like it... I always get a phone and they hang up... i noticed this happen everytime I stay pass more then 1:30-2pm... they will call every 30-45 mins and hang up as if they want me to leave the room asap! Don't they realize by doing that they can ruin the full experience that whole entire staff work so hard to make intercontinental sf best hotel services in sf... again other staff are great! just really dislike room cleaning staff with their tactic to tell guest to leave... worst part I can understand language when they are complaining about guest staying too late... also reason I give overall experience 5 cause the rest of the staff are wonderful. 19 November 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Lost shirt Hotels does not have right to touch clothes or any personal item esp when you have not checked out yet. I left my shirt neatly in one of the beds and when i came back to check out sunday pm, shirt gone! Concierge said maybe housekeeping drop off in lost and found???? I have not even checked out!
